Jupiter makes an unusually short transit through your sign. He will spend approximately six months in Pisces. Usually he will stay in a sign for eleven or twelve months. Probably he doesn’t need to spend that much time there. He can do his work quickly. He will be in your sign until May 11 and from October 29 to December 21. Women of childbearing age are unusually fertile at these times. Older Pisceans will need to watch the weight. You are living the ‘good life’ this year, and this is often the price we pay.
There is prosperity happening too. Jupiter in your sign until May 11 elevates the standard of living. Regardless of how much you have, you live as if you had more. But after May 11, Jupiter moves into your money house and stays there until October 29, before re-entering the 2nd house on December 21. This is a classic signal for prosperity. Pluto has been in your 11th house for the past twenty or so years. He is there in the year ahead, but is getting ready to leave. Your friendships have been transformed. Many have gone down the tubes. In many cases friends have died or have had near-death kinds of experiences. This has been a factor in the transformation as well.
Saturn has been in your 12th house since late in and he will remain there all this year. This transit shows a more down-to-earth kind of spirituality. It is not all ‘pie in the sky’ – though it sometimes seems that way. It has many practical applications. More on this to come.
Uranus has been in your 3rd house for some years now, and will be there for some more to come. Students below college level seem most affected by this. There are changes of schools, of educational plans and disruptions in school.
Mars will spend an unusual amount of time in your 4th house this year – from August 20 onwards. (Generally he stays in a sign and house for around six weeks, so he is camping out here.) He will be the only long-term planet in stressful alignment with you. This transit would indicate renovations or construction work in the home. More on this later.
Your most important areas of interest in the year ahead are the body, image and personal appearance; finance (from May 11 to October 29 and from December 21 onwards); communication and intellectual interests; home and family (from August 20 onwards); friends, groups and group activities; and spirituality.

Health
(Please note that this is an astrological perspective on health and not a medical one. In days of yore there was no difference, both these perspectives were identical. But these days there could be quite a difference. For a medical perspective, please consult your doctor or health practitioner.)
As we mentioned above, health will be good this year. No really long-term planets are in stressful alignment this year; only Mars will be in such an alignment, and that after August 20. All the other long-term planets are either helping you or leaving you alone. Your empty 6th house (only short-term planets move through there) is another positive for health – you have no need to pay too much attention here as all is well. After August 20 you might want to pay a bit more attention though.
Two solar eclipses this year will force changes in the health regime, but this happens twice a year (the Sun being your health planet) and by now you know how to handle things. This year the solar eclipses are on April 30 and October 25.
Of course, there will be periods where health and energy are less easy than usual – perhaps even stressful. These things come from the transits of the short-term planets. They are temporary and not trends for the year. When they pass, your normal good health and energy return.
With energy levels higher, pre-existing conditions should be in abeyance this year.

Important foot reflexology points for the year ahead
Try to massage all of the foot on a regular basis – the top of the foot as well as the bottom – but pay extra attention to the points highlighted on the chart. When you massage, be aware of ‘sore spots’ as these need special attention. It’s also a good idea to massage the ankles and below them.
- The heart. This is always an important area for Pisces as the Sun, the ruler of the heart, is your health planet. The reflex is shown above. Chest massage and massage of the breastbone and upper rib cage will strengthen the heart as well. As our regular readers know, it is good to avoid worry and anxiety: the two emotions that stress the heart. Meditation will help you cultivate faith rather than worry.
- The feet too are always important for Pisces as Pisces rules the feet. Regular foot massage will always be wonderful for you. You not only strengthen the feet but the whole body as well.

Jupiter will be in your sign on and off from January 1 to October 29. While this is a happy transit – it brings all the pleasures of the body and senses to you – too much of a good thing can be a problem. You can put on the pounds this year if you’re not careful.
Home and Family
Your 4th house of home and family is not prominent early in the year. Only short-term planets move through there and their effects are temporary. This tends to the status quo. Moves are not likely. Major family changes are not happening. Things are pretty much as they were last year.
However, all this changes on August 20 as Mars moves into your 4th house and stays there for the rest of the year. As we mentioned earlier, this can bring a major house renovation. It would indicate you spending more money on the home and family. Family support will be good. There could be conflicts in the family unit – passions run high. Work to cool down tempers.
Since Mars is your financial planet, many of you will be working from home – remotely. Many of you will be installing home offices or enlarging them. Some will be starting home-based businesses. The home is as much a place of business as a home.
Mars camping out in your 4th house would also show you installing gym and workout equipment, perhaps athletic equipment, in the home.
Your family planet, Mercury, is a very fast-moving planet. He will move through every sign and house of your Horoscope in any given year. (This year he will move through your 11th house twice.) Wait till after August 20 to make important repairs or renovations to the home (if you have the liberty to wait). If you’re beautifying the home – redecorating – June 23 to July 18 seems a good time.
A parent or parent figure could move in the year ahead. He or she is having a strong career year. If this parent is a woman of childbearing age, pregnancy could happen. She seems very fertile.
Siblings and sibling figures are nomadic these days. They could move multiple times. But even if they don’t formally move, they could be living in different places for long periods of time.
Children or children figures could have moved in recent years. The year ahead, however, is quiet. (More moves could happen in a few years.) Grandchildren, if you have them, could have moved last year. This year it is not advisable. Let them stay put and make better use of the space that they have.
Finance and Career
A prosperous year ahead, as we mentioned. You won’t escape the good fortune. Jupiter, the planet of wealth, abundance and expansion, will spend approximately half the year in your own sign and half the year (approximately) in Aries. In Pisces, Jupiter is said to be ‘dignified’. In Aries he is said to be ‘in his joy’. Suffice it to say that he is strong in both these signs. This signals an expansion of earnings and happy earning opportunities coming to you. Assets you already own will increase in value.
As we mentioned, while Jupiter is in your sign you will be living at a higher standard than usual. You will travel, eat in the good restaurants, and pamper the body. You will dress better than usual too.
Those who are the superiors in your life – bosses, elders, parents, authority figures – all seem devoted to you. If you have issues with the government this is a good time to resolve them. You should achieve ‘best case’ scenarios.

Your 7th house of love is not a house of power this year, and this has been the case for many years now. It is basically empty (short-term planets will move through there, but their impact is also short term). In addition, the Western, social sector of your Horoscope is bereft of long-term planets. Though the Western sector will strengthen as the year progresses, it will never dominate. The Eastern sector of self, or personal independence, will always be stronger. Children and children figures have had much social trauma over the past twenty years. Divorces could have happened. Things began to improve in , and this year the love life is stable.
Grandchildren, if you have them, or those who play that role in your life, can marry this year – or be involved in a serious romantic relationship. If they are too young for this it will manifest as an active social life, meeting new friends.
Self-improvement
There are two fundamental attitudes to relationship. One view holds that one has to be complete in oneself before relationship can happen. One must already have one’s personal centre and personal happiness and relationship flow from that point. The other attitude is that relationship completes the person. One cannot be happy unless they are in relationship. One must transcend all selfishness and cater to others and personal happiness will follow naturally. There are truths to both attitudes. Sometimes one is true, sometimes the other. This year – and for the past few years – you embrace the former view. Get your personal house in order. Learn to enjoy your own company and others will enjoy it too. Be comfortable in your own skin.
