7TH AND 7TH BIRTHDAYS

The number 7 has always been recognised by ancient civilisations – even as it is today – as the symbol of mystery or the number of God. In relation to the evolutionary process of humankind it signifies a stage in which the spiritual element is no longer in a state of relative latency, and has surfaced as an active force in various conscious and unconscious ways, according to the background of individuals subject to its influence. At the same time, physical, material and practical aspects of life have not been affected, as the 7 vibration is a power that operates on the physical plane of expression. The difference is in a change of attitudes. Egotism, egocentricity and acquisitive urges have been replaced to a large extent by a measure of aloofness and detachment. While material goods and worldly power may be acquired and enjoyed by 7 subjects they do not let these take possession of them. Sevens are easily picked out in company by their reserved and distant manner. The typical Seven, born on the 7th day, does not usually take the initiative to communicate with anyone. An outgoing and perceptive personality type usually takes the first steps to get to know a Seven. Extraordinary circumstances will be needed for two Sevens to get to know each other. If they do, and a relationship follows, the unusual similarities in their temperaments should yield an extraordinary mixture of advantages as well as a few disadvantages.

There are several unique attributes of the 7 vibration that are so strong that the fundamental personality of a Seven is not appreciably affected by the vibration of the birth month or other areas of influence. Vibrations from these other areas of influence may extend the Seven’s range of expression but not change the essential Seven nature. However, the 1 vibration in the birth month, while not changing the Seven character, could determine whether 7 attributes are used in ways favourable or unfavourable to the individual and in the Seven’s relationship with others. The aloofness of the Seven personality reduces or becomes more pronounced according to the degree of support the Seven receives from the actuating power of the 1 vibration. Besides having a naturally reserved nature other typical Seven characteristics which will be brought into play in a Seven/Seven partnership will be the faculty of discrimination and the urge to probe deep into the nature of things – past and present. A double Seven partnership will be slowed down in a sense as neither will act on impulse or on a superficial assessment of a situation. All Sevens are introspective and contemplative by nature and the silence a Seven partner will observe as they go about their business will be an unspoken token of the understanding and appreciation of each other’s company. While most other personality types need communication with others for self-expression and fulfilment Sevens are content with their own thoughts. They are not bored with, nor do they fear their own company. On the contrary, they need special time to commune with themselves. They can be alone but not lonely. Speaking in abstract terms a Seven can be alone, but alone with God, that is, in whatever conception of divinity they may hold. The attention of younger Sevens may be focused on material and economic aims but behind these, higher impulses of a spiritual nature lie dormant, which could be triggered off at any stage of their lives.

There is a very private side to the Seven personality which prevents them from sharing confidences. It is not secrecy or evasiveness that holds them back, but rather the fact that they just do not feel the need to share their private affairs. Seven partners will therefore not encroach upon each other’s privacy or individuality. They are exceptionally duty-conscious people but do not fuss over their loved ones, nor do they like being fussed over. A Seven couple will not be seen demonstrating their affection in public or resorting to joyful or sorrowful outbursts of emotion. They show a strong aversion towards pettiness, hypocrisy and false fronts put on by people. Such superficial behaviour will of course not be experienced by Seven partners. As their egos are never an impediment to progress all Sevens constantly strive towards self-improvement. They are self-teachers who prefer to do their own research rather than have orthodox beliefs imposed upon them. There is a bit of the perfectionist in every Seven and some may fall into the error of self-deprecation when they set themselves up against their own exceptionally high standards. There is an ever present tendency to take life too seriously and Seven partners will not help each other drop their reserve and break out into the occasional spell of fun and frivolity. The best Seven characteristics are deep-seated and rarely publicly exhibited. Consequently, Sevens are often misunderstood by others. Their penetrating insight into people and natural intolerance of superficiality contribute further to their self-isolation.

A contest within the partnership for the position of leader and decision maker will not arise as Seven persons do not actively seek authoritative roles nor do they adapt willingly to subordinate positions. As their egos are not tarnished by ideas of self-importance or inferiority they are able to compromise with rational minded partners. A double Seven partnership will be based on mutual understanding and respect. Some Sevens at a certain stage of their growth could adopt an intellectually superior and derisive attitude towards others, but not towards each other. Sevens are not partners who would attempt to persuade or manipulate each other into or out of any course of action. They readily concede the individuality of all persons and expect others to do likewise. As a matter of fact, not many individuals would attempt to encroach upon the individuality of a pure Seven. Sevens are not domesticated people in the sense that they thoroughly enjoy cooking, cleaning and general housekeeping. They are, however, home-bound people in the sense that their house is used as a haven or refuge from the strife and turmoil they experience in public life. It is their retreat for study and contemplation. It is never easy to get Sevens out of home once they have done their day’s duty.

The Seven personality is capable of absorbing only a limited and carefully selected amount of social activity before they turn off and yearn for the peace and tranquillity they find in their homes. A Seven couple will avoid crowds and concentrate on a few quality friendships rather than mingle with a host of friends and acquaintances. Sources of stimulation in social life sought after by them will be mental and spiritual rather than physical and emotional. In their interaction with others they are content to be themselves and draw upon their inner resources rather than depend on others for entertainment or for enhancing their self-image. They take constant care to prevent loyalties to work, family, society and their intimate relations from overlapping each other. A Seven couple will no doubt be quite compatible in their social outlook but they may not be the most popular or sought after pair in the wider circles of social life. This is of course a situation that will be regarded by them with total indifference. They are often misunderstood due to their naturally dignified bearing, personal distance, specialised interests, distaste for the limelight and intolerance of social superficiality. Sevens retreat into themselves in the company of crude and loud spoken individuals and recoil with embarrassment by an unexpected touch or emotional demonstrations by others.

Sevens are among the most taciturn and soft spoken of all personality types. Unless one or both in the partnership have the talkative 3, 5 or 9 vibrations in their birth months a good deal of communication between a Seven couple will be of a non-verbal nature. The absence of oral expression is replaced by the faculties of intuition and telepathy, and the ability to express their thoughts in a few meaningful words. As it is not in their nature to feel the need to invent conversation in order to feel comfortable, paucity of speech is not an indication of a lack of communication or tension between them. A sense of humour, while not entirely absent, is not a prominent feature of self-expression in their interaction with others. The problem they face is that many objects and situations that are humorous to the average person do not appeal to their reserved and perceptive mentality. They are turned off, for instance, by inane sexually oriented humour, especially when it is applied to their own way of life. Between themselves, however, a subtle sense of humour reveals a lighter side of their personality.

Spare time occupations which may temporarily separate some couples causing either beneficial or harmful consequences will not become an issue in this partnership. Their hobbies will be chosen from the same range of interests. If they do not happen to be identical, each partner will receive the appreciation and support of the other. All Sevens possess an instinctive intimacy with nature and limitless opportunities for action as well as inaction are found by them in natural surroundings. Many Sevens satisfy spiritual needs in their gardens, whether they are aware of it or not. They are also active spiritual seekers who look for understanding of their own nature and their place in the universal plan. They develop broad-based views on religion rather than submit to narrow denominational beliefs. While others demand freedom in the physical realm Sevens demand freedom in mental and spiritual realms. All Sevens share a love for the past, and, given the time and opportunity, end up as amateur historians, anthropologists, archaeologists, archivists, antique collectors and following their quest for knowledge as researchers.

The Seven’s potential to integrate inner (personal) and outer (public) existence is evidenced in the manner in which they handle their financial and business side of life. They are exceptionally astute money managers. Many find their way into Banking and other financial institutions. While the practical and down-to-earth side of their nature contributes to the efficient handling of their personal finances and public responsibilities, the spiritual side not only injects a sense of honour and honesty into all their dealings, but also relieves them of attachment to wealth for its own sake, and the anxieties that usually follow. Their way of life is such that few excessive demands are made on their resources. They do not take their possessions for granted or lose interest in them quickly, looking for new sources of amusement. Rather, they show an unusual capacity to sit down, appreciate and enjoy what they possess. The do not rush into commitments but acquire what they need through careful planning, hard work and sacrifice. Most Sevens are capable of doing without luxuries and instead bide their time till they can be afforded. Second hand goods will not be disdained by these sensible people if new goods are temporarily beyond their means.

Once a Seven/Seven relationship has been established these partners will find themselves in a position to enjoy a dimension of their personality that may have been forced to remain in latency for years by unsympathetic environmental influences. No longer exposed to misunderstanding they could drop their defences and jointly pursue their quest for learning using their own unique style. Theirs will be a mature relationship in which both partners will help themselves in mundane affairs rather than look to other for support. At the same time they will join forces in their quest for self-improvement. What both may overlook is the need for periods of fun and frivolity. Although they may not express warm feelings openly their love for one another is based on inner strength and feeling rather than on surface expression of sentiment. They are sexually compatible partners who can raise sexual activity well above the purely physical level into heights of romance, poetry and even spirituality. Sex is not regarded as an activity that is open to cheap humour but as something special and totally private.

7TH AND 8TH BIRTHDAYS

A pattern common to single digit birthdays is the concentration and centralisation of personality traits. In some instances, such as the 7th and 8th birthdays there is a greater intensification and circumscription of these traits. They could be so strong that little or no room is left for the entrance of other influences that may offer some variation from the standard. Subjects of the 7th and 8th birthdays are easily identified as Seven and Eight personalities, whether they express themselves through positive or negative aspects of their birth force, or fluctuate between the two.

What will be unmistakable in a Seven/Eight relationship is the wide contrast between the two personality types and the instinctive or automatic tendency by both partners to maintain their individuality. Voluntary or suggested personality adjustments in order to conform to the wishes or idiosyncrasies of a partner, or anyone else for that matter, will not be willingly entertained. Attributes of the 7 and 8 vibrations are such that a Seven/Eight partnership will not be one of close comradeship or intimacy in spite of it quite possibly being based on mutual respect and loyalty. Separate development with individual contributions to the partnership will be more in keeping with their temperaments than an intertwined relationship. To say the least, it will be a rather uncommon relationship in the sense that both insist on high personal standards, but standards that are based on different values. There is so much in the personality of the Eight that the Seven would acknowledge with respect while there is an equal amount that they would disdainfully disregard. Equally, the Eight will look across to the Seven as a peer in many ways, and yet will be baffled by other seemingly enigmatic features of the Seven’s personality. Realistic, businesslike and practical values inherent in both partners will be responsible for initial admiration and cooperation but divisions will arise when they discover that their ambitions and objectives in life are not the same. Material wellbeing and the exercise and enjoyment of personal power take first priority in the Eight’s views on life. A positive Eight may do so in beneficial and constructive ways while a profoundly negative Eight could be autocratic, totally materialistic, destructive and callous of the welfare of others. The problem with Eights of all conditions in relation to marriage or a long-term relationship is their tendency to become attached, for the most part unconsciously, to their possessions, and also absorbed in their careers and the pursuit of power. While encroachment upon their individuality by others is vigorously resisted they all too often unknowingly surrender themselves to their materialistic pursuits leaving little or no time and energy for nurturing intimate relationships with others. There is also a contradiction in the Eight’s personality in the sense that they are emotionally oriented individuals allowing the heart to rule the mind in family matters, but expressions or demonstrations of their emotions are kept well within bounds. Consequently, personal warmth is seldom displayed and family time is minimised by their busy public lives. Self-assertive habits used successfully in public life could be transferred to family life and not meet with the same degree of success. An Eight personality may leave a good deal of responsibility for maintaining family togetherness to their partner.

The Seven personality is a curious mixture of down-to-earth values and spiritual standards. Almost all Sevens, one way or the other, feel that their lives have a spiritual destination rather than a purely material or physical one. While setting out to acquire and enjoy the good things of life they maintain a degree of detachment that prevents them from being attached to their possessions, and neither do they attach importance to the acquisition of power over their fellows. Whether positively or negatively inclined their ambitions lie in the gathering of knowledge in the physical as well as metaphysical realms of life. The absence of emotional expression is something they have in common with Eights which is another factor that will preclude emotional closeness. Some Sevens could become absorbed in a favourite pursuit or pursuits at the expense of nurturing a personal relationship, but their interests will be for altruistic and impersonal reasons rather than the pursuit of personal ambition. The main difference between a positive Seven and a negative Seven is the reserve in the former and introversion in the latter.

Seven and Eight partners may follow different directions in life but there is an underlying sense of duty and loyalty which will safeguard their relationship. They do not open out their hearts easily but once they do so, their love remains deep and abiding and their commitment to their responsibilities is unqualified. Attempts to take up an authoritative role will be made by the Eight at the initial stages due to an instinctive urge to organise, administer and have control over their environment. Sevens do not feel the urge to do so as they are strict individualists who prefer to strike out on their own, respecting the right of others to do the same. All attempts by the Eight to control their lives will be calmly but firmly resisted. Positively oriented Sevens and Eights will have the best chances of arranging a mutually agreeable pattern of duty in regard to domestic, social and business affairs, as well as spare time activity. Negatively oriented partners, especially those with a repetition of the birthday number in their birth month, will be too self-absorbed to engage in any form of reciprocity. Intensely negative Eights will be too dogmatic, aggressive, selfish, emotionally unstable and rigid while a similar Seven will indulge in various forms of escapism from practical living, and resort to deception, suspicion, depression, sarcasm and coldness. Both will suffer from intolerance, jealousy and possessiveness.

Neither of these partners will be attracted to or fulfilled by a domestic way of life. The Eight, in particular, enjoys the challenges, opposition and competition found in public life. The business world is their sphere of activity. Sevens usually direct their talents into the professions as specialists and research workers. Forced by circumstances into domestic duties an Eight will suffer frustration, boredom and restlessness and transfer the consequences of these negative feelings to family members in various dictatorial ways. Though family pride is one of Eight’s strongest points their support could be lopsided as a working Eight is not likely to spend much time at home. They are excellent providers in material terms but this is often neutralised by their inadequate contribution to intimate communication with loved ones. A Seven partner found in a domestic situation will not have the same problems. A Seven will adjust without the same personal or interpersonal repercussions. Unlike the Eight, they seek periodic withdrawal from the strife and turmoil of public life into the peace and tranquillity of their homes and gardens. Their temperament is such that they could adjust to homemaking as an alternative and turn to some form of avocation for further development. Sevens relish their own company and their own methods of doing things much more than interaction with people of different types who they are bound to encounter in public life. A working Seven will also be an excellent provider, and despite a reserved nature, will make an effort to maintain lines of intimate communication with loved ones and spend sufficient quality time with them.

A special effort will be necessary by both partners to agree and adjust to a mutually satisfactory social life. This may not be easy as their circles of friends and acquaintances will not be the same. In a general sense neither partner is socially oriented. There is a predisposition towards minding their own business rather than a tendency towards a gregarious social life. Sevens are quite selective of their social contacts and cannot be prevailed upon to socialise with persons of all types. They recoil from individuals and groups involved in social competition, discord, noise, hypocrisy and superficial social values. Forced by circumstances into mixed company they set up barriers of silence and reserve.

Acquaintance with a number of persons is dispensed with, in favour of close friendship with a few old and trusted friends who share their interests in cultural and spiritual aspects of life. Many Sevens take life too seriously and find it difficult to loosen up in company. An Eight partner is not likely to sympathise with a Seven’s spiritual interests but may be prevailed upon to find time to join them in their cultural interests. Eights are better equipped to handle a variety of personality types. However, their social life is likely to be confined to associates of their business interests. Many Eights may be unimaginative and one-pointed in their social outlook and incapable of separating or excluding business affairs from light hearted social intercourse. A Seven partner will certainly be out of place in such company.

Both Sevens and Eights are direct and to the point in oral communication. Misunderstandings will be rare as neither will resort to evasion, contradiction and complex or ambiguous methods of expressing their thoughts. Eights could be authoritative in their choice of words and in body language, but these characteristics will not subdue a Seven partner. On the contrary, a Seven will patiently circumvent the Eight’s natural authority and will eventually change their attitudes by appealing to the strong sense of fair play and justice inherent in all Eights except those who are badly negative. Sevens enjoy silence better than constant conversation but when they speak they do so with dignified body language and a sense of finality which is seldom challenged. Their opinions are usually objective and based on specialised knowledge. An Eight’s opinions are also, for the most part, based on specialised knowledge but they may not be as objective as those of the Seven. Both partners enjoy conversation on issues that are beneficial and productive and show little time and tolerance for petty, inconsequential and frivolous topics. They are also types that could agree to disagree on matters that cannot be satisfactorily resolved. Noisy and demonstrative arguments will be avoided. Sevens, especially, withdraw deep into themselves when they encounter agitation, aggression and emotional imbalance in their partner, or anyone else for that matter. Aggression in some Eights is increased when they encounter direct opposition, but this is not likely to happen with a Seven partner.

The disparity in their temperaments will be most evident in their choice of hobbies and other spare time activities. As both are self-sufficient individuals they are not likely to feel isolated, neglected or deserted if they are left to their own devices. On the contrary, their separate interests could have salutary effects on their individuality and their relationship. Sevens have a close affinity with nature. They are natural gardeners, horticulturists, botanists, zoologists and environmentalists. They are attracted to solitary sports such as fishing and bushwalking. A true Eight will not feel the slightest attraction to these occupations unless it is on a strictly business or profit making basis. Sevens are also perennial students who need to delve into a variety of issues that do not interest the average person, particularly a business-minded Eight. The history of the human race and all things associated with its past and present hold a strong fascination for all Sevens. Those with the 2 vibration in their birth months invariably become keen collectors of antiquarian objects. The study of comparative religion, mysticism, metaphysics and psychic phenomena will attract almost all Sevens in one way or another. Eights do not acquire the same diversity of knowledge as they do not allow themselves the time for many diversions outside their business affairs. Those Eights who are wise enough to leave business affairs out of their free time are usually drawn to competitive sport as participants and administrators. Despite their lack of interest and knowledge, and even a fear of probing into the unknown, an Eight will hesitate to scoff at the Seven’s belief or interest in such topics.

The one faculty these personalities have in common is skilful money management, but here again, their different temperaments are responsible for opposite attitudes towards wealth. Financial matters could monopolise the life of the Eight but will not exercise an overpowering influence upon the Seven. While the Seven feels a sense of security in a sound financial position the Eight derives a sense of power. While reasonable limits can be placed on security, (and a Seven is content to do so and proceed with other aspects of living), no limits can be placed on the desire for power, and an Eight will not think of curbing ambition. Apart from these different attitudes their money management skills are very much the same. Both adhere to responsible personal spending habits, shrewd bargaining and well calculated investments. Their overall relationship in regard to money will be based on trust, mutual respect and financial independence.

Though the absence of emotional demonstration in both Sevens and Eights is a prominent feature it will have little or no bearing on the depth of love and loyalty that could develop between them. Their special temperaments and the lifestyle they follow do not expose them to situations that could tax their loyalty and fidelity. They are not types that search for romantic adventures. Both are sensitive to the needs and expectations of loved ones. They could be found guilty at times of sins of omission but rarely of sins of commission. As both partners are conservative by nature the privacy of their home will always be preserved and guarded against invasion by unwelcome elements. They are sexually compatible partners. Though strongly sexed, they are not demanding lovers. Both believe that everything, including lovemaking, has its time and place. With aggressive and demanding mates Sevens could turn cold and Eights could turn explosive.

7TH AND 9TH BIRTHDAYS

Partners with birthdays on the 7th and 9th days form a rather unique relationship in the sense that cultural, altruistic and spiritual aims take precedence over purely materialistic and worldly objectives. The relationship will be rich in human terms. Physical, material and economic considerations will certainly influence the lives of younger couples but an undertone of ethical values will govern their thoughts and actions until they find themselves in a position to pay more attention to their higher inclinations. Meeting for the first time Sevens and Nines will see into each other’s depth of personality and know that they can become friends and companions.

While the aims and objectives of these personalities are extraordinarily similar they set about realising them in different ways and once they have succeeded in doing so they continue to use their achievements in different ways. The Seven is a reserved, strictly individualistic and sometimes introverted character while the Nine is outgoing, sociable and, with the exception of a badly negative Nine, always extroverted. These differences act jointly as incentives and restraints in complementary rather than contradictory ways. Though all 7 and 9 attributes have a spiritual orientation they operate from different planes of expression, accounting for the distinct personality types. The 7 vibration functioning on the physical plane provides a fair degree of practicality, manual dexterity and down-to-earth values which provide a good balance to the integral personality. The Seven is not swayed by impulse, emotion or impetuosity, nor do they open themselves freely to every outer influence. With a fine knack of withdrawing into themselves or keeping a sense of detachment without causing offence they maintain their own pace regardless of the actions of others. The 7 is a vibration that creates the expert and adept. It has all the qualities required for development in specialised fields. It is not an adaptable or flexible force. The mentality of the typical Seven personality is geared to concentrate on one thing at a time, to investigate, analyse, research and probe into a chosen area of study rather than to acquire a generalised knowledge in several directions. Other unique features of the 7 vibration, which may vary in degree in different Sevens, are introspection, privacy, exclusiveness, secrecy, silence, solitude, self-sufficiency, emotional restraint, attunement with nature, curiosity, melancholy, discontent when inundated by an excess of mundane activities, inability to suffer fools gladly, a great need for peace and harmony in their personal lives, mental and moral courage and a mature mentality that is oriented to towards age and all things mellowed by time.

The 9 vibration operating on the mental plane is a comprehensive force containing traces of all the preceding vibrations. Its comprehensive nature accounts for many qualities that are opposite to those of the exclusive Seven. Thought processes of the Nine reach out to the world at large and remain attuned to all levels of consciousness. They may not possess the manual skills that come naturally to individuals with physical plane vibrations, but they do have the knack of attracting others to perform manual tasks for them. They are open personalities, often impressionable and sensitive to all sorts of vibratory changes. They are not as self-defensive as the Sevens and are consequently prone to highs and lows of mood in response to these changes. At the same time, they are capable of coping with a great deal of variety of activity, handling different types of people and making a speedy recovery from setbacks in life or illnesses. They are generous, compassionate, tolerant and forgiving people who enjoy company as well as short periods of rest and relaxation alone or with a compatible partner. Unlike the Sevens who could be mentally active and divorced from emotion and sentiment in their speech and actions, the Nine’s mental activity is never without a mixture of emotion and sentiment. A good deal of emotion is self-generated and emerges in periodic outbursts when it cannot be contained any longer. While Sevens are basically exclusive personalities who do not hesitate to reject anything that is not in tune with their vibrations, Nines are inclusive people who make an effort to accommodate to a variety of conditions. Despite these basic differences Sevens and Nines share many personality traits such as wisdom, intuition, personal dignity, honesty, a victimless sense of humour and above all the absence of egotism and self-centredness. While the Nine has hardly any visible traits that could be mistaken for self-centredness the Seven’s aloofness may be interpreted as a self-centred attitude by those who do not know them, but those near to them know that this is not the case. Sevens do not dwell upon their personal affairs but instead reach out to boundless horizons of abstract thought and an inner attunement with life as a whole. While they give and expect loyalty and reciprocity they do not fuss over their loved ones nor do they like being fussed over by them. They expect and admire self-sufficiency in all persons. Nines too possess the capacity for an inner attunement with life but their need for sentimental interaction with loved ones is stronger. Both personalities are open to the inflow of new conceptions, receptive to subtle forces and sudden insights into inner realities without having recourse to reasoning. As their horizons are not obscured by an excess of subjectivity and egotism they are able to perceive the world with greater awareness and sensitivity. A distinction between the two becomes evident again when the Nine decides to take on the world, so to speak, and the Seven decides to retreat to the peace and quiet of their homes and gardens. Nines are born travellers who need to go into the world and keep directly in touch with the pulse of life. Sevens would be content with abstract thought, an extensive library of books and music and attunement with natural surroundings. Figuratively speaking, Sevens and Nines climb the same mountains but once they reach their summits, the Sevens keep their experiences to themselves due to their reticent nature and Nines ensure that others profit by them.

A lifestyle limited to domestic duties is not compatible with the temperament of either the Seven or Nine. They may react adversely to the tensions, turmoil, antagonisms and rivalries spread throughout competitive business and public life and relish the freedom and peace they find in their homes, but their active minds constantly look for fulfilment in wider fields of endeavour. They are neither compulsive leaders nor passive followers but instead function best in professional or semi-independent positions that provide scope for unimpeded personal expansion. There is a duality in the nature of the Seven which enables them on the one hand to nurture their spiritual aspirations, and on the other hand, to function as pragmatic workers in all branches of science and finance. There is a unity in the nature of the Nine which helps them function efficiently in the caring, healing and counselling professions and maintain considerable personal warmth, compassion and humanity. Decisions regarding domestic matters will be made by consensus rather than the authority of one or the other. However, it may be found that the Seven is able to arrive at firm decisions with greater ease than the Nine who could be hesitant and changeable. The Seven’s greater objectivity and the Nine’s greater sensitivity accounts for the difference.

The Seven’s rather remote personality and the Nine’s open personality are responsible for wide differences in their social attitudes and social popularity. While Nines are always ready to warm up to new acquaintances or even strangers Sevens are reluctant to do so and even take pains to avoid such situations. Nines can adapt to an increasing variety of company but Sevens will keep to a strictly limited and carefully selected circle of friends. Maturity of temperament, natural to both Sevens and Nines, should however, help them reconcile and profit by these differences. While the Seven will curtail some of the Nine’s exuberance and generosity and save them from exploitation by fair-weather friends the Nine will help the Seven drop some of their reserve and enjoy the lighter side of life.

Using expressive body language Nines are gifted speakers who command attention in person to person communication as well as from large audiences. In private conversation they talk freely about their personal affairs but do not intrude upon the privacy of others. Sevens do not have the same gift of speech and consequently experience difficulty getting their ideas across. In any case, they do not feel any need to do so. Nines are voluntary teachers and counsellors but Sevens are reluctant teachers who need to be in exceptionally responsive company before they give out their thoughts and opinions. They keep their private affairs strictly to themselves but enjoy listening to the affairs of others. It is never easy to strike up and sustain a conversation with a Seven as it is with a Nine (unless the Seven is influenced by vibrations in other spheres of influence that assist them to be more talkative such as the 3, 5 and the 9). A Nine’s conversation is usually diversified and flexible and their opinions generalised. As talkers they are entertaining, enthusiastic, emotionally charged and not too concerned with accuracy. They may unconsciously hold the centre of attention and uplift the atmosphere of any circle or company. The Seven’s conversation is specialised, and restricted to a specific personal interest with an insistence upon accuracy. They are quietly spoken people who seldom volunteer their opinions. While silence in the Nine could be an indication of emotional or mental disturbance, silence in a Seven is in accordance with their normal contemplative state.

Hobbies and holiday activities of these partners can be carried out in a true spirit of togetherness. Neither partner is likely to take up a pastime that will be disagreeable to the other. Certain interests that may attract the Seven more than the Nine, such as the practical side of gardening, will receive the Nine’s support and appreciation. Similarly, the Seven’s encouragement and practical help will be given to the Nine in interests that are dear to them, such as active participation in humanitarian and charitable work. Sevens find themselves very much at home in the countryside either as residents or holiday-makers. Nines can cope with, and in fact need, a mixture of city life and country life. While both possess a keen interest in human nature the Nine will be directly involved in the lives of others in many helpful ways while the Seven remains an observer. The cultural and spiritual evolution of humankind holds a permanent fascination for both. Quality of life can be greatly enriched by their joint participation in the same aesthetic pursuits such as poetry, music, art and literature. Above all, they are potentially excellent travelling companions in the inner and outer realms of life.

Financial matters could be the one aspect of the partnership that will be difficult to reconcile to a degree that will avert some discord and argument. Though both partners look upon money as a means of exchange and not as a desirable possession they do not handle their finances in the same way. While maintaining their usual sense of detachment Sevens are responsible and astute money managers. They do not spend impetuously or indiscriminately but always look for value and usefulness. They are not extravagant in personal expenditure and their generosity towards others is seldom governed by emotional reaction or misplaced trust. Nines may be competent financial managers in public life but they are indifferent to the proper management of their own finances. They are impulsive buyers who seldom look for bargains or full value for their money, and neither can they be depended upon to put money aside for the future. Personal expenses are usually high and they are often indiscriminate in their generosity to others. They are easily reached through their compassionate and impressionable nature.

The best thing about this relationship is that both partners assume personal responsibility for their development and wellbeing. At the same time, while neither leans upon the other, they are able to join forces for rapid growth and enrichment of their lives. As both are sensitive to right and wrong and free from selfish wants neither is likely to cause intentional or callous hurt to the other. Nines show their feelings in spontaneous outbursts while the Seven for the most part hold themselves in reserve. Nines are more broadminded, tolerant and forgiving, and usually give more of themselves than they receive. Sevens are totally reliable and protective partners but they are not as tolerant of common shortcomings in human nature and may not be as warm-hearted as a Nine would expect a partner to be. However, the wisdom of the Nine will eventually help them realise that the Seven has deep-seated feelings that are beautiful, loving and romantic, and which could be evoked in the proper time and place.

7TH AND 10TH BIRTHDAYS

Please refer to the chapter on the 1st and 7th birthdays. The relationship between partners born on the 7th and 10th days will be no different to that between partners born on the 1st and 7th. The1st and 10th days both produce pure One personalities. The Zero does not bring in any new personality traits that could alter the relationship. If at all, it may only emphasise certain qualities of the 1 vibration making the Ten a slightly more forceful personality than the One.

7TH AND 11TH BIRTHDAYS

Taken individually and collectively there are several features in these birthdays which set them apart from most other birthdays and combinations of birthdays. Placed together, they reveal a unique mixture of similar and dissimilar features. Basic 7 and 11 qualities arise from the same spiritual centre and thereafter take different directions and methods of expression in the Seven and Eleven personalities. These special traits and distinctions should not have the separating or isolating effect between Sevens and Elevens that is likely to happen in their interaction with other personality types. On the contrary, by acknowledging each other’s individuality they can use them as complementary forces to enrich and strengthen their relationship. An innate wisdom in both will see the futility of attempts to change each other and will enable an appreciation of the advantage of combining their talents. The physical and practical aspects of life are not diminished by their spiritual orientation but instead are lifted to a higher dimension of thought and action. These are birthdays that need to be examined from the physical and practical angle on the one hand and the spiritual and idealistic on the other, as both spheres jointly exercise a controlling influence on this combination. While physical and material needs of these partners, by their very nature, may claim precedence over other considerations their spiritual aspirations which may have previously remained in a germinal state will come to life as a result of their interaction. The difficulty they have had exchanging their thoughts and ideals with others will no longer be experienced.

Both partners enjoy close ties with the physical plane and are therefore not without manual skills and practical application of their mental creations. However, greater consistency may be found in the behaviour patterns of the Seven than in the Eleven. Influenced by a single vibration Seven personality traits are clearly stable and predictable. A Seven personality can maintain a favourable balance between down-to-earth, functional, realistic values and high ideals and spiritual aspirations. It would take a badly negative Seven to resort to escapist tendencies, and fail to make a worthwhile contribution to either mode of life. The repetition of the number 7 in the birth month usually creates negative features due to the overloading of 7 qualities and the shutting out of others. Personality traits characteristic of the average Seven are privacy, aloofness, poise, silence, the love of solitude and pleasure in their own company, introspection, attunement with nature, self-discipline, self-sacrifice, intuition, an affinity with all things mellowed by time, the pursuit of concrete and abstract knowledge, self-sufficiency, emotional restraint, intolerance and impatience, exclusiveness, curiosity and melancholy. There is a depth of personality revealed through their eyes which gives them a faraway look as well as a penetrating look which deters many people from holding eye contact with them for long.

As opposed to the customary predictability of the Seven there could be considerable variation in the behaviour patterns of Elevens. As a master vibration governs the 11th day, subjects of this birthday fall broadly into three categories. The number of the birth month, social background and other environmental influences usually determine these divisions. Full-blown Elevens are those who function for the most part on the high frequencies of the master vibration which is essentially a vibration of spirit rather than of matter. These Elevens are in a small minority who, in turn, may be found either as plain visionaries or as practical visionaries. The plain visionaries function in an elevated atmosphere urged on by high levels of inspiration, revelation and intuition. Their ideas and ideals are seldom practical or down-to-earth. Consequently they suffer frustration not only in their interaction with people who are unable to share their high-minded thoughts but are also subjected to the ridicule of practical minded people. Other full-blown Elevens combine physical and practical attributes with their inspirational mentality and excel in the arts, science and humanitarian activities as inventors, creators, discoverers and reformers. These two divisions of Elevens could devote much more their time and energy to the causes they espouse or the research they undertake than to the mundane responsibilities of everyday life. As their participation cannot be counted on their partners cannot afford to be indecisive, dependent or possessive. Opposite to these fully-fledged Elevens are those who operate as positive Two personalities. These Two/Elevens are found in larger numbers than the previous types and make exceptionally good partners in life. They are well balanced individuals who, with a mixture of practicality and idealism, maintain an even disposition at all times. A Seven personality with this type of partner will be in a most fortunate position. In between these opposites are those Elevens who fluctuate between the upward pull of the master vibration and the downward hold of the reinforced 2 vibration. These would be the most interesting and versatile of all Elevens. Their relationship with a Seven may have its ups and downs but would be constructive and productive from all angles.

A contest for the role of leader and decision maker will not arise as neither partner has a desire to exercise and enjoy authority and power over others. They are leaders of ideas and ideals rather than leaders of people in the ordinary or material sense. Most Sevens and Elevens will avoid spending their lives performing household duties, however important these duties may be. When obliged to do so, however, such duties will be carried out efficiently and dutifully but they will always be on the lookout for something more. The natural trend of the Seven towards study and investigation and the Eleven’s towards invention, reform and lecturing cannot easily be relegated to the background and overlooked. Sevens certainly treasure their home and especially their garden as sanctuaries away from the noise, unrest and competitiveness of the outer world, but they do need to use their questioning and analytical minds in some specialised work. Elevens do not feel the same need for frequent retreat to the quietude of their homes and gardens as they are better equipped to cope with the tension and turmoil of public life. While there will always be a homebound minority of Elevens the majority will spend more time involved in public affairs seeking to integrate their idealism with the realities of everyday life. An inevitable consequence will be disorder in their personal lives.

The average Seven cannot be said to be extroverted in the sense of being an open personality who sparkles in company and enjoys a cross-section of society. Except for their negative counterparts they cannot be said to be introverted either, in the sense that they avoid social contact through fear or poor self-esteem. Their social attitudes are based on their unwillingness to put up with superficiality, false fronts, juvenile humour, and their inability to suffer fools gladly. They are not dependent on social intercourse and so deliberately dispense with many normal social activities. On the occasions they find themselves in mixed company they take up a reserved and detached position. They have no hesitation in cutting out of a social scene that does not meet with their conservative standards of conduct. Only a few intimates can take their friendship for granted. The average Eleven can be classed as an extroverted individual with more than sufficient self-confidence to benefit from and contribute to a variety of social levels. Unlike the Seven who is unconventional in thought but not necessarily in conduct, the Eleven could be quite bohemian in thought and conduct. While Sevens keep their ideas to themselves Elevens do not hesitate to broadcast their views. Not all Elevens follow up what they say in practical ways. Those that do gather around them a following of admirers and those that do not are usually given a wide berth. Negative social attitudes in an Eleven are rare but, when present, they take the form of indecision, rigidity, lack of imagination, sensitivity and judgmental attitudes.

Oral expression presents a striking contrast between Sevens and Elevens. Sevens generally experience difficulty putting their thoughts into words, but this does not necessarily lead to frustration on their part as they seldom feel the need or compulsion to verbalise their thoughts. For the most part they are taciturn people who are able to make themselves understood by using a few well chosen words and phrases and meaningful body language. They are strictly person to person communicators who would not be found enjoying an animated discussion with a lively group or addressing a gathering of enthusiastic listeners. Silence on the part of a Seven along with an air of detachment need not be taken as dissatisfaction or unhappiness but rather understood as their natural contemplative and observant state of mind. Elevens, in contrast, are great talkers who express themselves with an abundant flow of words, and unlike the Seven, feel an irresistible desire to verbalise their thoughts with the express intention of converting others to their views of things. They could range in verbal profusion and verbal effectiveness from rambling and inconsequential talkers and preachers to magnetic and influential speakers. They are usually one-sided conversationalists absorbed in their own values and indifferent to those of others. They resent being challenged, contradicted or exposed in any way. Rather than concede an error, oversight or misjudgement they resort to all sorts of explanations, rational or otherwise, to justify themselves. As a last resort they explain themselves away by saying “That’s me” or “That’s how I am”. Their egos are easily bruised when challenged, yet they expose themselves constantly to criticism, objections and counter charges.

The most agreeable and rewarding side of this partnership will be their choice of hobbies and other joint activities they engage in during their non-working hours. Although both partners are able to strike out on their own there will be no need for them to do so as it is most unlikely that one would take up a hobby that would not interest the other. Both are potentially pioneers in scientific, artistic and metaphysical research and practice. Whatever activity or interest that may directly involve one will receive the sympathy and support of the other. They are mentally and physically active people who will not be found sitting around doing nothing or engaging in unproductive pleasures. Their one complaint will be light of time or the shortness of the day which prevents them from doing as much as they would like to do.

Their financial position and other negotiable assets are not likely to absorb their attention to the exclusion of intellectual and spiritual values. The physical and spiritual orientation of the 7 vibration helps all Sevens preserve a proper balance in all their money transactions. While keeping free from attachment to money and other forms of wealth they are able to exercise natural skills in all financial matters. They act on the philosophy that money in itself does not bring happiness and that irresponsible use of money would inevitably cause unhappiness, to themselves as well as their partners and dependants. Elevens fall broadly into two categories in this respect. Those Elevens with physical vibrations in their birth months (such as the 1 and 4) are in the same mould as the Seven in regard to their attitudes towards money management. Other Elevens with emotional (2, 5 and 8) or mental numbers (3, 6 and 9) in their birth months could range from indifference to irresponsibility in money management. They could be over-generous and easily taken in by dishonesty or unrelenting behaviour on the part of others.

There is always the possibility that some Sevens and Elevens could begin living in a world of their own ideals and self-imposed standards and fail to understand the problem and personal needs of their partners and dependants. But the majority is receptive to higher forces which create altruistic consideration for each other’s wellbeing and the wellbeing of others. Much of their communication would be through a highly developed sixth sense, and both posses the courage and strength to meet and overcome adversity. Their personality differences are only in degree and direction and not in quality and therefore should not become liabilities that divide them or cramp their individual styles. Rather, they should act as reciprocal strengths that bind them together. The Eleven will always appear more enthusiastic, emphatic and impatient with stronger motivation to make their mark in the world.

7TH AND 12TH BIRTHDAYS

A tremendous variety of personality traits and talents will be brought into this combination, followed by an alternate interplay of some opposite characteristics, some sympathetic features and many complementary traits. To say that a relationship between subjects of these birthdays will be complex and diversified will not be an overstatement. At the same time, the complexity and diversity created in this combination can be wisely harnessed to expand and strengthen a relationship rather than be allowed to create conflict and divisions. Both Seven and Twelve individuals possess the qualities required to circumvent their differences and strengthen their affinities. They begin with the advantages of individuality, self-sufficiency and the ability to make independent contributions to a partnership. As neither personality would be prepared to put up with a dependent or insecure partner, their relationship will be enriched by mutual respect for each other’s capabilities.

While personality adjustments by both partners will be necessary more effort may be required of the Twelve due to certain special features in the Seven and the Twelve’s natural egocentric mentality. The Seven personality functions under the concentrated power of a single vibratory force and is therefore confined for the most part to a specific range of attributes. Vibrations from the name, birth month and other areas of influence which often introduce new features that round off the integral personality do not necessarily do so with the Seven due to the unusual resistance of the 7 vibration to internal and external influences. The distinctive feature of this vibration which creates many puzzling traits in the Seven personality is its affiliation with the physical plane and its affinity with the spiritual plane. This combination takes away many popular personality traits and introduces others that are seen as enigmatic by average standards. Within themselves, Sevens could become unsettled and suffer varying degrees of melancholy, frustration and discontent if they are prevented from keeping a balance between mundane responsibilities and their yearning for higher levels of experience. The absence of emotional expression creates an aloof and reserved disposition which offers advantages as well as disadvantages in their interaction with others. On the positive side they seldom expose themselves to compromising situations and on the negative side they may not endear themselves as easily as spontaneous individuals. Seven personalities are often misunderstood as it is not easy to get to know them. Some typical seven characteristics are introspection, silence, solitude, secrecy, privacy, exclusiveness, analysis, specialisation, intuition, spirituality, premonition, harmony, honesty, dignity, mystery, introversion, inflexibility, intolerance, stubbornness, self-examination and self-criticism, escapism, dogmatism, rebelliousness, unhappiness, distrust, cynicism and self-indulgence. Negative features, which are rare in the average Seven, could develop if the 7 vibration is repeated in the birth month.

A notable difference between a Seven and a Twelve is the Seven’s ability to place most things in broad perspective and use objective judgments and the Twelve’s tendency towards ego-consciousness and subjective judgments. The 7 vibration symbolises an evolutionary stage in which ego-consciousness has been elevated into varying levels of world consciousness and cosmic consciousness resulting in the contemplative and detached temperament of the Seven individual. The personality of the Twelve, by comparison, is an amalgamation of the 1, 2 and 3 vibrations, all of which are at an ego-conscious stage of development. The main incentives and gifts acquired by the Twelve through the interplay of these forces is the ability to go in for, acquire and enjoy the best things of life. They are multi-talented people as their characteristics and talents are derived from the physical, emotional and mental planes of expression. Also, the interaction of three vibrations prevents any one from taking hold of the personality and creating a constricted and rigid individual. The purposeful, resolute and active forces of the 1 vibration set sensible bounds to the Twelve’s versatile, flexible and adaptable temperament. In addition, this vibration contributes invaluable qualities of independence, decision, self-confidence, self-esteem, authority, initiative, leadership, creativity, willpower, ambition, loyalty, vital energy and practicality. Left on their own there is a chance of some of these qualities turning into rigidity, dogmatism, conceit, selfishness, noncooperation and dictatorship, but the 2 and 3 vibrations ensure that these negative traits do not become part of the integral Twelve personality. Receptive 2 forces provide qualities of an opposite nature such as emotional expression, cooperation, tact, romance, adaptability, forgiveness, patience, peace, harmony, persuasion, personal warmth and domesticity. The 3 vibration, which is a combination of the 1 and 2 forces, represents all that is fresh and youthful in human nature. It is a mentally oriented force providing a fertile and receptive mentality, a creative imagination, optimism, romance, extroversion, sociability, popularity, enthusiasm, generosity, extravagance, showmanship and a keen sense of beauty and accuracy. In a normal environment the combination of 1, 2 and 3 forces ensures that negative aspects of these vibrations do not manifest in the Twelve. However, a harsh family and social background may affect some younger Twelves damaging their self-image, but their natural powers will eventually overcome such adverse conditioning. At the same time not all Twelves are likely to display the full range of positive qualities of these vibrations, but they will always be there to be drawn upon by Twelves who have made the effort to study themselves. Enfolded in their individuality they could unwittingly overlook the equally strong individuality of the Seven and assume a leadership position until this arbitrary move is brought to their attention, and the Seven will have no hesitation in doing so. The Seven does not have the same urge to exercise authority over others. They leave others alone and expect to be left alone. They promptly resist any invasion of their privacy and freedom with a degree of firmness and finality which will surprise the strong-minded Twelve. These partners have no alternative but to settle into a partnership of equals. Although a career in the professions will always be more attractive than a domestic lifestyle to Sevens and Twelves, both partners show responsibility and loyalty in their share of domestic duties. One will not seek to exploit the other. Separate tasks or an occasional interchange of tasks would work very satisfactorily.

Social attitudes of Sevens and Twelves can be expected to conform to their distinct temperaments. Pure Sevens feel very little need for, and therefore do not seek, frequent interaction with a variety of personality types for popularity, self-expression and pleasure. To a large extent they are content with their own company and enjoy solitude more than intercommunication with an assortment of people. Their lives are arranged in such a way that very little time and even less tolerance are left for frivolous activities. A limited social life will be confined to a few old and trusted friends with whom they could exchange like ideas and talk the same language. Invariably, many pure Sevens are inclined to take life too seriously unless they come under the influence of an extroverted yet tactful partner. Twelve partners possess the necessary attributes to influence a Seven to drop much of their reserve and extend their social circle. They are self-confident, extroverted and socially oriented people who fall easily into prominent positions in society. They are sought after for their accomplishments as conversationalists, entertainers, comedians, hosts and hostesses and leaders in fashion. Attempts by a Seven to hold them in isolation or in limited social contact will be of no avail. However, it is unlikely the Seven will need to do so as an inbuilt sense of balance in the Twelve usually prevents them from carrying their social activities to excess. Both partners have the opportunity to profit by the combination of the Seven’s cautious and poised approach and the Twelve’s confident and friendly attitude in social life.

Seven personalities do not use speech as an essential medium of self-expression. Choosing to translate their thoughts directly into action or the written word they take the lead among the most taciturn and quietly spoken people and indulge in periods of silence, contemplation and introspection more frequently than any other personality type. Although Sevens are perfectly at ease during these periods of withdrawal they could create misunderstanding and uneasiness in the minds of people who need frequent oral communication in order to feel comfortable. Sevens become tongue-tied when there is need to express their thoughts in expansive language. Consequently, they keep most of their thoughts to themselves. On the rare occasions they speak out they use a few well chosen words and a minimum of body language to express their thoughts and leave a good deal to the imagination of their listeners. They could be intolerant, cynical, sarcastic and hurtful towards people who chatter away on inconsequential matters. This will, however, not happen with a Twelve partner as their alert and agile minds initiate and respond to ideas in rapid, articulate and constructive speech that could hold the attention of analytical and down-to-earth Sevens. In a Seven/Twelve partnership the Twelve personality will do most of the talking and the least amount of listening. The most a Seven would do would be to curtail some of the Twelve’s exuberance while at the same time they benefit from their sense of humour and the lead they take in company. They may not always appreciate the Twelve’s talkativeness at home but they will certainly do so in company. Sevens rarely enter into conversation with strangers while Twelves would not hesitate to make themselves known and engage in conversation, much to the relief of their Seven partners.

Characteristics of the loner and individualist evident in the general behaviour of the Seven come to the fore in their leisure activities when they are no longer obliged to put up with conditions that are not in tune with their personality. Almost all Sevens are studious people as well as nature lovers. They may spend their time in natural surroundings absorbed in non-competitive hobbies such as gardening, fishing, canoeing, birdwatching and bushwalking. A Seven householder will concentrate on a flower garden, fish pond, aviary and other landscape features and leave home comforts and decoration to their partners. All Sevens are seekers after knowledge in the concrete and abstract realms of life. A library of books and music would mean more to them than other material possessions. They are not likely to let Twelve partners, or anyone else for that matter, interfere with their chosen pastimes. Twelves do not possess the same scientific, spiritual and mystical interests. Their activities tend towards the creative and performing arts. There is hardly any avenue of artistic expression that is not open to these highly imaginative and expressive people. Their physical, emotional and mental powers are given full expression when not restricted by other responsibilities and unlike the Seven they perform best in the midst of others or before an audience. They are constantly flooded with new ideas for obtaining the most enjoyment out of life and their influence should bring laughter and relaxation into the life of the more serious-minded Seven.

Skilful management of their financial affairs and freedom from attachment to money for its own sake, are rewarding attributes inherent in all Seven personalities. They spend generously on anything that has practical, educational or aesthetic value but seldom, if ever, submit to impulsive or impetuous spending on non-essentials. Vanity has no part in the things they acquire for themselves. They derive great pleasure in profit derived from shrewd investments and satisfaction from money set aside for future needs. The spirit of the gambler is not part of the Seven personality while their sense of responsibility as providers is very strong. Consequently, family finances will be quite safe in their hands. Twelve partners may find the Seven’s management habits somewhat restrictive. These are generous and often impulsive spenders who find it difficult to keep strictly within a budget. Their capacity to make money through personal effort may be greater than that of the Seven but their financial acumen is not as sharp. An optimistic and confident view of their own powers induces them to spend without consideration for future needs. Whereas the Seven’s ego does not play a part in their money dealings the Twelve’s ego could interfere with to their spending habits. By approaching this aspect of their personality they could be prevailed upon to enter into financial adventures that could be disadvantageous to themselves and their dependants.

Sevens do not readily fall in love, but when they do so their love is given with great intensity and loyalty, yet without surrender of their individuality. Despite their undemonstrative temperament there is a broad vein of romance running though the Seven personality. Their love is not nurtured by purely physical and mercenary considerations but also by mystical elements which ensure great depths of beauty, romance, devotion and single-mindedness. Their love, once given, cannot be trifled with by a partner with a wayward mentality, nor will they put up with a partner who has a superficial outlook on life. Twelves tend to fall in love easily following their extroverted, imaginative and romantic nature, and their keen sense of beauty and need for company. They too fall in love with great intensity, but this could soon be dispelled if they chose a dull and unimaginative partner with no depth of personality. They are compatible with partners such as the Seven whose personality presents many challenges and keeps their agile minds constantly alert.

7TH AND 13TH BIRTHDAYS

Three significant features, amongst other things, evident in this birthday combination are the prominence of odd numbers or active vibrations, the emphasis on the physical plane, and the absence of emotional plane vibrations. With active forces predominating in individuals born on these days one can expect temperaments that tend strongly towards independence, individuality, self-reliance, decision, authority and an unencumbered lifestyle. Qualities symbolised by even numbers such as cooperation, interdependence, close companionship, reciprocity and a relationship based on sharing and doing things together are not inherent features with this number combination.

The distinct nature of Sevens and Thirteens is too pronounced for them to experience a spontaneous attraction to each other. Confrontation in one form or another is inevitable between these strongly individualistic personality types if they have not spent time in ideal circumstances to get to know each other. A close friendship which could develop into an intimate relationship and a partnership on equal terms could arise only over a period of time and out of mutual respect and appreciation of each other’s personal qualities. These are not individuals who are conditioned to fit into a pattern of life determined by others. Reasonable personality adjustments leading to an enlargement of their individuality will be made voluntarily as duty, responsibility and loyalty are qualities shared by both.

The foundation of this partnership will be laid by the attributes both derive from the physical plane. Practical and down-to-earth qualities are natural to them, along with an affinity with the land and sensitivity to the beauty and bounty of nature. The absence of vibrations from the emotional plane will be helpful rather than harmful. Both need more personal distance or space around them than people who operate partly or wholly on the emotional plane. The fact that neither will have to put up with impetuosity, emotionalism and unexpected physical contact will be of considerable advantage. However, the absence of an outward show of affection should not be taken as an indication of the want of love and romance. On the contrary, there is a greater depth of love and romance, once given, in these personality types than in many emotionally oriented people who could often be superficial, volatile and inconstant lovers.

All single digit birthdays, as well as the 10th, 20th and the 30th days, produce recognisable personality types by virtue of the concentration of attributes of a single vibratory force. Other areas of influence may intensify or expand the basic personality but not alter it significantly. The 7th day has an exceptional formation in the sense that the 7 vibration divides itself into two spheres of expression as an exterior force and as an interior force, or as a physical and non-physical (spiritual) force. These dual forces by their very nature create a complex personality type faced with a degree of internal and external frustration and a temporary loss of direction until a balance is established between their opposite planes of expression. They also create problems for those who try to understand the Seven individual. People who attempt to reach the average Seven from a purely physical and material point of view will be surprised and even disappointed when they encounter Seven characteristics of detachment, non-possessiveness, non-competitiveness, modesty and morality derived from their spiritual side. They will soon learn that this individual cannot be judged from mercenary or exploitative standards. Equally, those who expect the average Seven to be buried heart and soul in idle dreams of a visionary lifestyle will also be disillusioned. Qualities that set the Seven apart from most others are a natural aloofness, privacy, silence, introspection, study and a tendency to take life seriously. Spontaneous exhibitions of light-heartedness can be expected only on very rare occasions (usually from the influence of a more vibrant number in the birth month). Their general demeanour does not invite efforts by others to influence them in direct ways. At the same time, Sevens are not types who believe it is imperative to have control over others. They would be quite content to grant all persons, including their partners, their right to individual action as long as they too are allowed the same freedom. This is the only arrangement possible in a Seven/Thirteen partnership as neither will settle for a subordinate position, nor will they abuse their freedom in a partnership of equals. Thirteen partners will try to take control in the first instance, but despite their authoritative nature will have to settle for an equal partnership.

While the Seven lives within the bounds of the enigmatic qualities of the 7 vibration the Thirteen’s range of expression is extended throughout the 1, 3 and 4 vibrations. In addition, a harmonious interaction between them strengthens and enriches the integral personality, thus avoiding any internal conflict. The 1 and 3 vibrations in the first instance combine to give leadership, decision, initiative, self-confidence, ego strength and mental creativity. Mental creations are converted into physical creations by the manual dexterity and high sense of form and design gained from the 4 vibration. The 4 also ensures stability, moderation, caution, self-discipline and method. In all practical matters it would be unnatural for Thirteens to suffer negative tendencies such as poor self-esteem, introversion, inferiority, inadequacy and inactivity caused by fear of failure. They are imaginative, positive and multi-talented people capable of standing on their own feet. They are, however, dependent on the love, loyalty, approval and admiration of their loved ones. They are proud people who cling fearlessly to their own sets of ideas and values and would not put up with competition either in public or personal life. Perceptive Seven partners will not take a Thirteen’s devotion for granted, nor will their own way of life offer any challenges to the Thirteen’s sense of pride and security. As the Thirteen is, for the most part, an ego-centred individual, the most a Seven may do is to remind them that there is a greater life to be considered outside their personal interests.

While both Sevens and Thirteens are capable of sharing and performing all manner of domestic duties they are equally proficient as breadwinners. Given the option of a career as a homemaker or a breadwinner both are likely to choose the latter on the assumption that homemaking as a full-time occupation may not be a complete expression of their potential. Both undoubtedly need more than one major outlet to satisfy the general orientation of their personalities. Duel careers and shared domestic duties would suit them best.

Sevens move in society with caution and reserve using aloofness and taciturnity as their chief defence mechanisms. Their chief pleasures are observation, analysis, the desire to understand life and unobtrusively help others to do so. People may suffer uneasiness in their company as their thoughts could be distant and seldom translated into speech. Thirteens do not use any defence mechanisms in social intercourse but instead set out to enjoy themselves, and in the process, provide an impetus for others to enjoy themselves. While their Seven partners occupy the sidelines they establish themselves in the centre of activity. This arrangement helps the Seven to quietly break through their customary reserve whenever they choose to do so. People know where they stand with the Thirteen whose thoughts are quickly converted into speech and action. In their general attitude many Thirteens could be quite ostentatious and closely attached to status symbols while almost all Sevens avoid social popularity and spurn popular status symbols.

A feature both partners have in common which should contribute largely towards harmony is a talent for correct phraseology. They express their opinions candidly and accurately making no secret of their likes and dislikes. Oral communication between them will therefore be noted for brevity and clarity of speech, thus avoiding the possibility of misunderstandings and arguments. Sevens, with their naturally taciturn temperament, feel no need to invent conversation. Periods of silence are as worthwhile to them as periods of speech. Fluency of speech which is a special feature of the 3 vibration is a guarantee that the Thirteen is not as closemouthed. However, the joint effect of the 1 and 4 vibrations keeps the Thirteen’s conversation at a level acceptable to the Seven as these are also forces that tend towards precise speech. The total of these vibrations also endows the Thirteen with a voice that has an excellent tonal quality that easily captures the attention of an audience. Sevens are quietly spoken person to person communicators whose views are given out with conviction and not easily changed as they are arrived at after much deliberation. There is always possibility that Sevens and Thirteens may from time to time pursue their own line of thought without listening to each other’s speech.

It will be natural for most Thirteens to believe that their individuality is confined to the physical plane and therefore feel no intellectual and practical need to press beyond phenomenal experience. It is equally natural for the Seven to accept as a fact that sense experience is not the only source of knowledge and pleasure. These different conceptions of reality will be brought into focus in their choice of leisure activities. The Seven’s temperament is attuned to natural surroundings which is in keeping with both the physical and spiritual sides of their personality. All Sevens are animated and inspired when they are in the midst of flowers, trees, mountains and streams. A beautiful garden will be a sure indication of a Seven householder. Most Sevens are also ardent book lovers. Much of their time indoors may be spent among books as readers, collectors and dealers. The history of humankind and anything touched by time has a fascination for all Sevens.

It is difficult to specify particular areas a Thirteen will turn to during their leisure time. Being exceptionally versatile, creative and competitive people they could take up almost anything that is pleasurable, beneficial or profitable. They excel as creative artists, performing artists, competitive sportspersons and expert handypersons. One thing that can be said about Sevens and Thirteens is that they will never be lazy or unimaginative. Although the Thirteen has an exceptionally strong sense of beauty, colour and form they may not share the same degree of closeness with nature as the Seven does, nor would they show the same degree of interest in abstract matters. They may regard the Seven’s interest in metaphysics and other related subjects with some scepticism, but this would not deter the Seven. The chances are that these partners will take up separate hobbies which will enhance the mutual respect they hold for each other rather than cause distance and division.

Both Sevens and Thirteens possess ample expertise as money managers. Irresponsible handling of income and expenditure which is often the cause of serious disagreement between otherwise loving partners will not become a problem in this partnership. Personal expenses of the Seven are usually low and most importantly, they do not take their blessings for granted due to a natural appreciation of what they already possess and the a knack of resisting the desire for constant increase. Thirteens, on the one hand, are driven by a strong desire to keep increasing their possessions and on the other hand, they are held in check by inbuilt safeguards. The spender is the 3 aspect of their personality and sometimes the 1 aspect, while caution at all times is exercised by the 4 and certain aspects of the 1. Both partners should have no difficulty agreeing to set a guard on their personal needs in order to allow first priority to family responsibilities. Mutual confidence in money matters should be easy because it is not in the nature of either to part with money on impulse or do so under pressure from salespersons.

These are not partners who will allow superficial differences to destroy their fundamental similarities, basic values and many complementary traits. They are guided by reason and are therefore not given to dramatising their problems. Though the main outlines of their relationship will be firm there are certainly some aspects that will require attention. Sevens have a healthy habit of analysing themselves fearlessly and are able to take a reasonably objective view of things. Their spiritual beliefs and attunement with nature also provide a strong sense of inner security. Thirteens are more inclined to view themselves with complacency and are consequently much more subjective in their attitudes. They are more inclined towards self-justification. However, once the Thirteen is reminded that they should not always see things from a purely personal point of view their innate sense of fair play, loyalty and duty will soon be awakened. All in all, the mental and physical stimulation both will constantly give each other should ensure the success of this relationship.

7TH AND 14TH BIRTHDAYS

If a mathematical view is taken with this birthday combination the erroneous idea may be formed that the number 14, as a multiple of 7, represents an escalation or doubling up of 7 attributes, and that individuals with these birthdays share similar personality traits on lower and higher levels of expression. The error is caused by the application of the quantitative value of numbers and not their qualitative value. On the basis of their qualitative value used by numerologists the combination reveals differences rather than similarities. The concentration of attributes of a single vibration in one and the multiplicity of attributes derived from no less than three vibrations in the other cause the primary difference. The manifest result is that the individual with the 7th birthday has a standard personality, the product of a single mould as it were, which is readily identifiable, and the individual with the 14th birthday emerges with a blended personality that is not as easily identifiable.

The four vibratory forces that will interact in this combination possess unique qualities which are responsible for the differences between the Seven and Fourteen personality. At the same time, they do have many sympathetic features by virtue of their connection with the physical plane. The 1, 4 and 7 vibrations cover the full range of the physical plane forces. The 5 vibration, as the underlying power in the Fourteen (1 + 4 = 5), functions through the emotional plane, but unlike other emotional forces it has a close association with the physical plane.

The 7 vibration has a dual nature in the sense that it manifests as an active physical force as well as an active spiritual force. In a worldly sense these are usually counter-active powers but in the personality structure of the Seven there is a constant movement towards coalition. All practical affairs in the Seven’s world, consciously or unconsciously, could be tinged with a spiritual quality and all spiritual functions are addressed through a combination of intellectualism and practicality. Though the 14th day produces a Five personality this individual is by no means the same as Fives born on the 5th day or the 23rd day. These latter birthdays produce emotional, vibrant, changeable, alert and restless Fives while the 14th day produces emotionally controlled, down-to-earth, pragmatic Fives. Compatibility comes easier between Sevens and Fourteen/Fives due to the steadfast qualities they derive from their affinity with the physical plane. A comparison of this chapter with the chapters on the 5th and 7th birthdays and the 7th and 23rd birthdays will reveal the dissimilarities between the three combinations.

A spontaneous attraction between Sevens and Fourteens is unlikely as both customarily hold themselves in reserve while they analyse people and situations. The down-to-earth values they use in their assessments are aided by the absence of emotionalism and exposure of their sentiments. Their realistic approach is supported in the case of the Seven by an enhanced intuitive faculty and in the Fourteen by the acuteness and alertness of their external senses. In their estimation of each other both will find the rewards worth the effort as they are bound to discover more agreeable and complementary qualities rather than any that are inharmonious and disruptive. As their relationship will be built up over a period of time it will continue on a sound footing. Some typical Seven qualities which a Fourteen will find most agreeable are self-sufficiency, practicality, loyalty, responsibility, honesty, moral courage, silence and their interest either in scientific matters or the products of the earth as well as their financial acumen. The Seven’s outspoken ways and natural tendency to allow others free expression of their individuality will also be greatly appreciated. There will be a need, however, for the Fourteen to adjust to the Seven’s strict code of honesty in all their dealings as well as their non-attachment to material possessions, their non-competitiveness and indifference to power and prestige. Fourteens are by no means lacking in honesty but they could place expediency before fair play when the interests of others run counter to their own; an action which a Seven would not contemplate. Fourteen qualities which a Seven would admire greatly are physical courage, quick reflexes, self-reliance, quick decision in emergencies, manual dexterity, initiative and dependability. The Seven will envisage a partnership of equals as it is not in their nature to subordinate themselves to anyone or to exercise authority and power over others in order to feel fulfilled. Fourteens, however, are likely to reveal certain dictatorial and disciplinarian streaks, although in their relationship with a Seven they will soon learn that these measures will not be tolerated, nor will they be needed. A partnership based on equal rights, privileges and responsibilities will be the obvious solution.

A career as a homemaker may not be in keeping with the ambitions of either partner. The physical and material sides of the Seven draw them into the world of finance, science, research and environmental work. The tremendous vital energy driving the Fourteen leads them into all manner of creative and constructive work. However, the domestic scene will not be neglected as both partners are well equipped to shoulder an equal share of domestic duties. Being resourceful individuals it is unlikely they will depend on others to help them run an organised household.

There are differences in the social needs and conduct of Sevens and Fourteens but they do not exist to a degree that could create strain and unhappiness. Of all personality types the Seven has the least need and attraction to what they consider the dubious pleasures of society. They are not group oriented people as they are not motivated by the psychological urge for identification. Found in mixed company, not of the sexes but of personality types, through no choice of their own, they become agitated and use their natural reserve as a protective and defensive measure. Any situation that disturbs their natural serenity tends to increase their discomposure and induces withdrawal. They open out only in company of their own selection. The Fourteen’s needs for social interaction and privacy are well balanced and this gives them the ability to move in and out of mixed company and group activity without detrimental effects. Not only are they able to make themselves positive to any unsavoury influence but also, unconsciously for the most part, they set about manipulating people and situations to suit themselves. In doing so, the wishes of their Seven partners will not be overlooked.

Sevens are softly-spoken people who indulge in periods of silence more often than in periods of speech. They speak out only when they have something worthwhile to say. Their carefully chosen words and phrases, dignified body language and magnetic eye contact hold the attention of an audience and seldom allow room for contradiction or defiance. Being largely objective in their thought processes they can criticise constructively and disagree agreeably. They cannot be drawn into argument or conversation on trivial matters merely to pass the time of the day. Most Fourteens have dominant vocal powers which they use to overrule others and take control of situations. They could be confrontational and react to aggression with aggression, but these tendencies will be kept strictly in check in their relationship with a Seven partner. Despite their peremptory manner they would be quicker than a Seven in repairing a communication breakdown. A Seven could fall into a depressive state and remain uncommunicative for lengthy periods.

Hobbies and other leisure activities taken up by these partners will reflect the Seven’s attraction to the material as well as immaterial sides of life and the Fourteen’s general orientation to the material side only. In other words, a life of sensation and reflection will be chosen by the Seven as opposed to a life of sensation only by the Fourteen. Following their belief in a spiritual order of things which gives them value and meaning to life, Sevens will refuse to be tied down to mundane responsibilities at the expense of their natural instinct for self-improvement. They would always try to integrate outer and inner existence and these efforts will be given special attention during the freedom they enjoy in their leisure hours. Fourteens are brimful of mental and physical energy which needs to be expended in a variety of kinetic activity. While the Seven believes that happiness lies in what they are, hence their studious habits and courage in esoteric matters, Fourteens believe that it lies in what they do, hence their considerable physical courage and choice of vigorous and daring activities. A Seven’s tendency towards study, solitude and physical inaction during their private time and a Fourteen’s attraction to physical activity will be natural methods of recharging their batteries, and cannot be taken as aversion to work or creativity on the part of the Seven or the total absence of repose in the Fourteen.

A definite stabilising factor in this partnership is the responsible attitude both partners have towards money management. Certain subtle differences by virtue of their different vibratory frequencies do not interfere with their overall compatibility. As their decisions are not swayed by their feelings, they are discriminating spenders who purchase what they can afford and what they need, and not what they are prevailed upon to buy by alluring advertisements. Self-discipline will be used with mutual agreement to control personal wants whenever they interfere with their joint interests. Because of the balance the Seven constantly strives to maintain between the physical and the spiritual, their talent for good money management is not inconsistent with their non-attachment to material possessions. Money is treated with respect but is also not allowed to take possession of their lives. The Fourteen is a blend of the financially improvident 5 vibration, the financially powerful 1 vibration and the exceptionally judicious 4 vibration. The influence of the 1 and the 4 override any tendencies towards irresponsibility but does not prevent the Fourteen’s ability to make bold decisions. They look upon money and other material goods with a pride of possession which can only be satisfied by dedication of much of their time and energy to the accumulation and preservation of wealth.

Sevens are noted for their avoidance of body closeness. Their intimate zone is delicate and vulnerable and therefore zealously guarded. They can handle only a certain measure of closeness before they begin to feel threatened and agitated, especially when subjected to presumptuous inroads into this region. Their love reveals a unique mixture of sensuality, idealism and romance, and with the right partner and at the proper time and atmosphere they are ardent and passionate lovers. Fourteens do not feel threatened by body contact nor are they as insistent on timing and atmosphere. Their sexual needs are more than that of the Seven. In order to perfect their love life these partners should work towards achieving a balance between the Seven’s sensitivity and the Fourteen’s red-blooded vitality.

7TH AND 15TH BIRTHDAYS

The governing factor in these birthdays, both individually and collectively, is the vital force of odd numbers symbolising active vibrations. The 7th day produces a pure Seven individual with unqualified and unrestricted 7 attributes. There is an unyielding quality in this birth force which makes it, to a large extent, impervious to influences from other areas of the integral personality or to exterior forces. Sevens, in other words, retain all the characteristics of their birth force in substance and in potential. Certain attributes and tendencies that remain unexpressed emerge at the right time and in the right environment. Sevens, for the most part, may not be easily understood, yet they are readily identified as a particular personality type. The receptive 6 vibration is the underlying force of the 15th day, making subjects of this birthday qualified Six personalities in whom one may expect a personality structure with a receptive polarity as opposed one that is active. However, the powerful energies of the active 1 and 5 vibrations in the foreground exercise a dominant influence that converts their constitution to a predominantly active polarity. The principal effect is the strengthening of the best 6 attributes and the removal of negative or self-deprecating tendencies, thus making the Fifteen/Six an exceptionally positive personality composed of a mixture of forceful active and resolute receptive qualities. This Six is quite distinct from Sixes born on the 6th day or the 24th day as the personality structures formed by these latter days are of a receptive polarity which does not guarantee the initiative and incentive for use of the full potential. Receptive forces have a tendency towards insecurity, vulnerability and a lack of self-confidence unless they are supported by active vibrations in effective areas of influence.

When Sevens and Fifteens first come into contact the magnetic attraction that takes place between opposite polarities creating a sense of harmony and reciprocity will not be an automatic occurrence. The interplay of the 1, 5 and 7 vibrations results in the meeting of certain similarities of temperament when there should be dissimilarities, and certain dissimilarities when there should be similarities. One set may clash while the others may keep them apart. At the same time a Seven/Fifteen association will not be without mediating and ameliorating links that could in time cement a loyal and loving relationship. A period of time in impersonal contact may be required before these links are surfaced and activated. A tenacious individuality on the part of both Sevens and Fifteens will appear as the first obstacle to be acknowledged and accepted. This task should not be difficult as their individuality is not of an identical nature which could make conflict inevitable and compatibility doubtful. They are differently cast, as their vibratory forces operate on different planes of expression giving them a different orientation. Many personality traits which initially appear as uncongenial are in fact either sympathetic or complementary.

While all Fifteens are extroverted people whose extroverted attitudes do not vary to any noticeable degree Sevens are, for the most part, aloof and reserved, and their continual sociability cannot be taken for granted. Those Sevens who are negatively inclined could in fact be quite introverted, suspicious and defensive. The reserved manner in the average Seven will not change much despite the wishes of a partner. Sevens move at their own deliberate pace which seldom encourages interference. Fifteen partners who unwisely try to hurry or draw them out of their customary reserve will not make much headway in their relationship. Sevens do not seek authority over others, nor do they tolerate arbitrary attempts to control them or alter their way of life.

Fifteens, in comparison, prompted by the forceful nature of the 1 and 5 vibrations, will attempt to organise and take a leading role in the relationship. The 1 aspect represents leadership and the 5 aspect represents organisation and at times manipulation. However, arbitrary desires arising from these aspects of the Fifteen will be curbed from within by the peaceful, diplomatic and companionable qualities of the 6 vibration and from outside by the calm but firm resistance of the Seven partner. The Fifteen will come to realise that their relationship, if it is to succeed, has to be based as a partnership of equals. By this means the individuality of each partner, far from being diminished, will be expanded and enriched. Both personalities are certainly at their best when expressing their individuality and personal freedom and at their worst when they are arbitrarily restricted.

The Seven’s invaluable contributions will be self-sufficiency, self-reliance, self-discipline, thrift, efficiency, commonsense and practicality. The distinctive feature of the Seven personality is an affinity with the phenomenal world as well as an attraction to the non-phenomenal world. Characteristics that are preserved at all cost and used for their edification are the desire for privacy, introspective and contemplative pleasures, self-improvement through study and association with select company, attunement with nature and the urge to look beyond the limits and the duration of the physical body. While no vibration is devoid of the spiritual element it is also a fact that, with the exception of the 7, 9 and the master vibrations 11 and 22, other forces adhere to the phenomenal world mentally, emotionally and physically to a much greater degree than they do to the spiritual. The vibrations composing the Fifteen personality are not among the spiritually sensitive forces. The 1 vibration is a physical/mental force which channels the Fifteen vibration’s thought processes into material advancement and gives them the initiative and incentive to acquire for themselves the best positions and possessions in life. The 5 vibration is a far-reaching force that enters into the physical, emotional, mental and psychic planes. Freedom of thought and action, and the desire to plunge into a great variety of life’s experiences are the motivating factors. The combination of the 1 and 5 provide the Fifteen with a tremendous vitality, ambition, restlessness, physical courage, flexibility and self-reliance, culminating in their ability to engage in several activities with equal proficiency. The underlying 6 vibration rounds off the personality structure by limiting over-activity of 1 and 5 traits and introducing respect and love of family life and domestic duties. The Fifteen emerges as a well-balanced personality and the fact that they cannot be typified makes them interesting and fascinating characters who can gain the admiration and respect of discriminating Sevens.

A paradoxical feature of the Seven personality is seen in the absence of true domestic instincts on the one hand and on the other, their reluctance to bear the shocks of competitive public life. However, the former condition is overcome by their high sense of duty and responsibility and the treatment of their home as a sacred place of refuge from the speed and discord of public life. The latter condition is overcome by seeking relatively non-competitive and inconspicuous, yet responsible positions in public life, particularly those in tertiary education, finance, scientific research and medicine. Negative Sevens usually seek some form of escape to avoid both aspects of life. While Sevens are more inclined to self-examination and self-criticism, Fifteens interpret things from a self-assured and positive attitude. Their self-assertive temperament reaches out to secure their needs leaving little opportunity for contrary influences to intervene. A career as full-time homemaker, onerous as it may be, will not consume the tremendous store of energy in the Fifteen. It will not provide them with the movement, changes, challenges and competition they need in order to feel fulfilled. However, there is a duality in the constitution of the Fifteen which consolidates rather than divides their fitness to perform public duties and domestic responsibilities. The 6 aspect of their personality is responsible for bringing about this unity. Sharing domestic duties with a Seven partner will not be a problem due to the practicality and responsibility in both partners.

Social needs and obligations will reveal the widest disparity in the Seven and Fifteen temperaments. Sevens are person to person communicators who are exceptionally discriminating in their choice of company and avoid all prominent roles in society. A fear of being engulfed by jumbled vibrations emanating from diverse company makes them retreat into themselves. Their greatest strength is the pleasure they derive from their own company. They feel little need to look to others for self-expression and approval and consequently, their independence, privacy and sense of wellbeing are seldom endangered. Fifteens, while maintaining their individuality and independence, can use company and activity in company for self-expression. They display the capacity to handle a variety of personality types and the ability to take up prominent positions in society. They do not take pleasure in their own company or in attunement with nature as their Seven partners would do. Extroverted Fifteens who are informal, approachable and never on the defensive should not expect their Seven partners to take rank with them in social activity. Despite the fact that Sevens possess a keen sense of humour and curiosity in regard to human behaviour, if they are left to their own devices, they seldom loosen up and allow some fun, frivolity and new experiences to brighten up their social life. Under the influence of a Fifteen they could be stimulated to a degree that would awaken a dimension of their personality that would otherwise remain dormant. The underlying home loving force of the 6 vibration will ensure that the Fifteen is not carried to excesses in social activity to the discomfort of the Seven.

Oral communication between these partners and in their association with others will follow the same pattern of expression. All Sevens are not only taciturn people but also use the minimum of body language. The advantage they gain as a result is the ability to capture the attention of an audience whenever they choose to speak, and a touch accompanying speech from a Seven, who is normally a ‘non-toucher’, leaves a profound impression on the listener. In addition, people know that a Seven does not speak unless they have something to say that is productive or beneficial. They cannot be drawn into argument or trivial conversation. Not only are they people of few words by nature, but also experience has shown them that much of their inner thoughts cannot be shared with the majority of their contacts, including, for the most part, their Fifteen partners. Consequently, Sevens may be ready to listen to the personal affairs of others but they seldom reveal or discuss their own. Following their extroverted temperament Fifteens use oral communication and expressive body language as an essential means of self-expression. Unlike the inward and reticent turn of the Seven the Fifteen’s thoughts are projected outwards, spread over a much wider horizon and readily conveyed to others. As their well integrated emotional nature does not experience the emotional blocks suffered by the Seven they can convert their feelings into words freely and appropriately. Nor do they hesitate to make definite assertions on a variety of topics and enter into argument to support their views. Using these methods they may gain an ascendency over others but not necessarily over an immovable and elusive Seven partner. While Sevens would need to accept the Fifteen’s desire to converse on a variety of topics the Fifteen, in turn, should appreciate the Seven’s need for regular periods of silence.

Following their natural inclinations Sevens will divide their leisure time between non-competitive activities located in natural surroundings and mental activity devoted to self-improvement in the privacy of a study. As instinctive nature lovers Seven householders automatically take charge of their gardens which are likely to be adorned with ferneries, fish ponds, aviaries and other natural features. Even in the most arid of places, a lone pot plant will be nurtured lovingly. While Sevens are attracted to any activity that puts them in tune with nature Fifteens are attracted to activities that offer strong competition and a fair degree of risk and danger. The time they spend outdoors could be more than time spent indoors. Unlike the academic means employed for pleasure and the acquisition of knowledge by Sevens the Fifteen’s pleasures and skills are derived from physical experiences which seldom leaves them time to bother about the whys and wherefores of existence so important to most Sevens. When Fifteens spend time at home they tend towards household duties allowing the domestic aspect of their personality represented by the 6 vibration to be satisfied. Sevens will establish themselves firmly in chosen hobbies as they are, for the most part, researchers and specialists, but Fifteens, particularly younger ones, will refuse to devote their time to a few settled hobbies choosing instead to seek out new sources of stimulation. Different as the Seven and Fifteens are in their spare time activities their relationship is not likely to be disrupted resulting in a drift away from each other. Rather, in many unsuspecting ways new dimensions of their personalities will be open which would otherwise have remained closed, resulting in a closer relationship.

Irresponsibility over money matters on the part of one or both partners in any relationship is sufficient to undermine an otherwise harmonious union. A Seven/Fifteen partnership, however, will not run into this hazard as both will prove to be astute money managers. Attributes of self-sacrifice and self-discipline may be more evident in the Seven as these are individuals who intuitively realise that happiness is not based on or found by increasing their possessions but instead, by limiting their desires. Many Sevens possess the dual capacity of enjoying what they already possess as well as enjoying something without the need for personal or physical possession of the thing itself. These traits are reflected in their investments and the day-to-day management of income and expenditure. All Sevens have a natural fascination for antiquarian objects and a side effect of this is their willingness to use second-hand goods and hand-me-downs. Compared with the moderate habits of the Seven, Fifteens may appear self-indulgent. All three vibrations forming their personality structure favour enjoyments of physical and material life. The 1 seeks power and physical pleasures, the 6 loves mental pleasure and physical comforts including good food and drink, and the 5 aspect constantly looks for variety of experience. Personal expenditure is consequently higher, but there are aspects of the 1 and 6 vibrations that prevent the Fifteen from falling into extravagant spending habits. Those influenced by the 1 are known for their financial acumen, businesslike qualities and incentive to make money, while the 6 vibration introduces caution and realistic values that are free from impetuous action.

Sevens and Fifteens, each in their own way, set about enriching their lives and this enrichment has corresponding benefits on their relationship as a whole. Both operate on an expanded field of awareness using their intuitive faculties and keen receptivity to the physical senses. They are sexually compatible partners by virtue of their affinity with the physical plane. The Fifteen, however, may have to overcome their impatient nature as the Seven’s responses to lovemaking are dependent on the proper time, place and atmosphere. Fifteens are not as fastidious and they may also find themselves attracted to others of the opposite sex, but their basic sense of loyalty to their Seven partners should in most instances remain unshaken.

7TH AND 16TH BIRTHDAYS

Seven personalities formed in different moulds are presented in this birthday combination. The mould of the 7th day creates Seven personalities in whom characteristics of their birth force are manifested without qualification. Seven individuals preserve their individuality at all costs as attributes of the 7 vibration are of such a decisive nature that they resist modification or conversion by other vibratory forces. They are a special type that would give of themselves of their own accord what they would refuse if pressured by others. Sufficient unto themselves they are not dependent on others for popularity nor do they use their willpower to change or dominate people or situations that are not in tune with their vibratory structure. Rather than make themselves positive to inharmonious influences their natural tendency is to keep away, withdraw, escape from or reject such people or situations. With a penetrating insight into people and conditions they experience little difficulty choosing congenial friends and compatible partners. A Sixteen personality will be an instinctive choice. The integral Sixteen is formed by the interaction of the 1, 6 and 7 vibrations. The 1 and 6 which qualify the underlying 7 are compatible with the 7 vibration, and this leaves the Sixteen free from internal conflict. They are not pulled in different directions by vibrations which exist in some multiple digit birthdays. The 1, 6, and 7 when combined creates, in addition, an affinity between a pure Seven and a Sixteen/Seven. The attraction will be mutual as the objective and rational minds of both personalities will at once observe the authenticity of each personality. Neither Sevens nor Sixteens put on a facade of any sort in order to make out that they are other than what they are. Negative Sevens are excepted from this mutual attraction as these individuals are introverted, suspicious and often hostile people who are unlikely to come into close contact with extroverted and companionable people such as the Sixteen. Negative Sevens are usually those who are overloaded with the 7 vibration. Those born in the 7th month are the most susceptible to negativity, and more so if there is also one or more sevens in the birth year. Negativity is not a condition that should exist in a Sixteen. If a form of negativity is displayed in some Sixteens it would be due to adverse environmental conditioning which could and should be overcome by these individuals.

While a single digit birthday provides the concentrated power of a single vibratory force, thus creating a distinctive personality type such as the Seven, a multiple digit birthday usually contains three vibratory forces which form a multiform personality structure with more outlets for self-expression and therefore not as readily identifiable as a particular type. The 16th day has the added advantage of containing the self-assertive 1 vibration as part of its triplicity. It equips the Sixteen with a positive view of themselves and a positive outlook on life in general. It is a physical/material force which channels the thought processes of the Sixteen towards personal betterment with attributes such as independence, self-reliance, self-confidence, decision, initiative, leadership, authority, pride, and from the interplay with the 6 and 7 vibrations, a healthy self-image. Prompted by these emphatic yet self-controlled qualities all Sixteens become quiet achievers. The influence of the 6 vibration without hindering progress prevents any arbitrary and self-centred characteristics of the 1 vibration taking hold of the personality. As a family and community-oriented force it helps round off the personality by introducing a sense of togetherness and consciousness of ‘us and we’ instead of ‘I and my’. The welfare and wellbeing of others are taken into consideration along with their own. The 7 vibration contributes to the rounding off of the personality by introducing practicality, down-to-earth values and a strong spiritual element. The combined influence of the 1, 6 and 7 vibrations helps the Sixteen to settle into a partnership of equals which is the only arrangement that would be agreeable to a Seven. Not only are both partners quick to answer the call of duty but conscious efforts will also be made to establish a harmonious atmosphere in the domestic scene. They are not types that are led out of their homes by restlessness and the desire for physical adventure. Their homes are used for enrichment of the quality of life as well as a refuge from the turmoil of public responsibilities. Domestic duties can be shared or interchanged when necessary. Sevens being nature lovers are most likely to spend more time in the beautification and maintenance of the garden leaving the Sixteen free to release strong domestic instincts which are part of their nature by virtue of the 6 aspect of their personality. Both partners may pursue careers in public life. Sixteens are ambitious workers but their ambition is not of an egotistic, personal, grasping and assertive quality. They work their way up in their chosen careers efficiently and unobtrusively, and their material achievements are directed into the welfare and wellbeing of their families. The ambitions of the Seven personality are centred on the acquisition of expertise and excellence in whatever they undertake and not on the pursuit of personal power and fame. Their careers are often of a highly specialised nature that could place considerable demands upon their time.

Demands of social life are met differently by Sevens and Sixteens but not in ways that could cause discomfort and tension to either of the couple. They are basically alike in their social needs in the sense that they do not shape their conduct according to the opinions of others, yet remain within the boundaries of convention. Where they differ is in the Sixteen’s capacity to relate in company of a variety of personality types and remain unmoved when they encounter persons and conditions that are not in tune with their personality, and the Seven’s intolerance and tenseness in company of diverse temperaments. Seven’s can enjoy isolation and solitude much more comfortably than the Sixteen, who needs a certain amount of social contact for self-expression. The presence of the Sixteen will always help the Seven cope with unpleasant situations which occasionally cannot be avoided. As a general rule these partners will find themselves locked into a behaviour pattern in company acceptable to both. The basic causes of their differences is the greater self-confidence of the Sixteen and the Seven’s preference of their own company when they cannot find their peers or those they consider their intellectual or spiritual equals or superiors.

Going hand in hand with the reserved temperament of all Sevens is their habit of speaking only when they have something of value to say and not because they feel obliged to communicate. They are better listeners than speakers, but once again, they give their attention only when something that is informative or productive is being said. Although they possess a subtle sense of humour they lose interest quickly when conversation turns to banal or trivial topics and withdraw into a world of thought all of their own. Silence is always an accompaniment of a Seven personality. Seven needs a partner who does not disturb the tranquillity they habitually try to maintain but also one who could, at the proper time, evoke and enliven their communicative powers. Sixteens make ideal partners in this respect as they are neither talkative nor taciturn individuals. Their preference will always be for quietly spoken and realistic partners more so than those who are loquacious. They are pleasant and knowledgeable conversationalists who will not be dismissed or avoided by Sevens. While Sevens generally keep their opinions to themselves Sixteens are not reluctant to declare their views and employ a variety of arguments in support of them. While Sevens are mentally analytical, curious and uncommunicative, Sixteens are mentally agile, curious and communicative.

The activities and hobbies undertaken by Sevens and Sixteens during their leisure time should have strengthening rather than isolating effects on their relationship. Some of their hobbies will be indistinguishable from, or an extension of their domestic duties. The Seven’s greater degree of contact with the natural world will be seen, among other things, in their devotion to gardening and outdoors and the Sixteen’s attraction will be to cooking and home beautification. Similar tastes in music, literature and drama can be expected. Their interests may diverge, but not necessarily to a great extent, when the Seven feels the need to penetrate deeper into the nature of things and the Sixteen gains fulfilment in time and energy devoted to humanitarian activities. The chances are that the Sixteen will remain within an orthodox religion while the Seven breaks away to continue as an independent thinker and researcher.

A very positive factor in this relationship which guarantees material success is the skill both partners possess in all aspects of good money management. There will be hardly any need for one to keep watch over the other’s spending habits as they are usually of one of a kind when it comes to saving, investment and expenditure. Emotionally activated spending habits, gullibility and attraction to schemes that offer quick riches are tendencies quite foreign to their nature. They pay their debts promptly and take pains to remain free from debt. They are also good bargain hunters who look for value and durability in their purchases rather than submit to the dictates of fashion. The Sixteen is likely to be the shrewder and more persistent negotiator. The Seven may not have the patience or the daring to press for the best prices.

An outlet for free emotional expression or spontaneous demonstration of feeling is a feature that is lacking in to both the Seven and Sixteen. This will be their advantage rather than to their disadvantage as neither could tolerate the over-familiarity of sentimental and emotional partners. Both need personal distance which cannot be intruded upon until they are alerted and in a responsive state. An enduring thread of spirituality and high moral values binds their relationship which makes it easy for them to place the material needs of loved ones before their own. Their intimate lives will receive frequent attention as it is not in the nature of either personality to fall into a habit of complacency taking their partners for granted. Although verbal endearments may be few or expressed in no more than a word or two their body language and actions will indicate a conscious effort to enrich their love life both physically and spiritually. They are also self-sufficient types who do not look for pity or sympathy for their problems but work out their troubles alone. Mutual respect is built up as they do not make needless emotional, physical or sexual demands upon each other.

7TH AND 17TH BIRTHDAYS

Opposite polarities are best in any combination of birthdays due to the complementary process of active and receptive vibrations. However, a spontaneous attraction which will set in motion this ideal situation may not take place between subjects of the 7th and 17th birthdays because active forces govern both days. The only receptive force in operation is the 8 vibration in the 17th day, but this vibration has many exceptions to the general characteristics of receptive forces – exceptions which are more in keeping with active forces than those that are receptive. Seven and Seventeen partners will depend heavily upon certain common aspects of the 1, 7 and 8 vibrations such as duty, loyalty, steadfastness, pride of achievement and unwillingness to accept failure in order to forge and maintain strong lies in their relationship. They may be faced with certain similarities of character that are likely to be confrontational rather than cooperative and certain dissimilarities that may take time to reconcile.

On the one hand the single digit of the 7th day creates a personality structure containing unmixed 7 characteristics. These are of such an exclusive nature that vibrations from other areas of the birth date and name, or external influences, do not effect an appreciable change in the fundamental personality structure formed by their birth force. The individual remains an unmistakable Seven and individuality becomes their hallmark. It is a dissociated form of individuality in the sense that it does not seek to impose itself or take control over individuals, groups or situations. While granting the right to privacy and freedom to others, Sevens expect reciprocal treatment in all circumstances. They are self-sufficient and self-restrained people who can be relied upon to assume and discharge responsibility in any position in public life or in a domestic scene. Non-interference with their methods of doing this is the only condition they impose. A partnership with a Seven has to be one in which responsibility is clearly defined and free from arbitrary intrusions. At the same time it will be one in which consultations and discussions will take place rationally and objectively. The Seven’s ego is not governed by pride, self-centredness, inflexibility, self-assertiveness or exhibitionism. They assert themselves only on the occasions they are confronted by selfishness, conceit, superficiality, impetuosity, irrationality, dictatorial and overbearing attitudes. Striving for perfection is a natural urge in most Sevens, with the result that they are not only self-critical but intolerant of imperfections in others.

The interaction of three vibratory forces in most multiple digit birthdays produces a great variety of complex personality types. A birthday with mismatched numbers would create a mixed-up personality pulled in different directions by internal forces, while a birthday with well-matched numbers creates a subject whose personality has been strengthened and given a clear sense of direction. The 17th day falls into the latter category. While individuality of a special or restricted quality is the hallmark of the Seven, individuality of a more general nature is the hallmark of the Seventeen. It is general in the sense that the Seventeen is by no means as private, reserved and exclusive as the Seven. The 7 vibration which brings about these conditions is only one of three parts forming the Seventeen and as such, does not exercise the same creative powers as it would when it is the only vibratory force. The 1 and 8 vibrations combine to provide initiative, leadership, extroversion, decision, organisation, ambition, direction, materialistic and down-to-earth values. They also contribute intolerance, rigidity, dictatorial and noncooperative tendencies which are not modified by the 7 aspect of the personality. The overall Seventeen temperament makes these individuals unsuitable for subordinate positions and difficult in equal partnerships.

Outwardly more energetic and decisive than a Seven they expect to assume the senior or authoritative role. A Seven partner will resent and reject such an arbitrary assumption of power. A compromise needs to be reached by the Seven acknowledging the Seventeen’s broader perspectives and their greater incentive to reach them, and the Seventeen respecting the Seven’s desire for specialisation. They should also patiently recognise that the Seven’s customary silence, physical calm and deliberate movements are not indications of inertia, incapacity or aversion to work but confirmation of their unobtrusive, analytical and calculating way of doing things. A strong sense of spirituality in both partners initiated by the 7 vibration should help in the reconciliation of their differences by enabling them to see into each other’s depth of mind and soul. This higher dimension, attainable by both at various times will awaken and maintain mutual love and respect. Spirituality which may be manifested in different forms is found on the surface in the Seven who will find it easier to examine and dominate a materialistic life imposed on them by environmental conditions. They can reach for higher goals in life than the pursuit of fame and possessions. Influenced to a greater degree by the 1 and 8 aspects of their personality The Seventeen reaches out for wealth, power and fame while the spiritual and non-materialistic side remains dormant until it is stimulated by the tacit influence of a Seven partner or some other circumstance.

A characteristic common to both partners is their reluctance to disclose personal problems and their unwillingness to discuss emotionally charged issues. They are on the one hand highly sensitive people, and on the other hand at a loss to adequately express their sentiments. Both maintain and safeguard extended personal zones and neither is likely to trespass on the other’s space at an improper moment or without prior invitation. They will remain secure in the knowledge that they are free from rash and impetuous intrusions peculiar to emotionally charged individuals. Their emotional needs will be satisfied to their advantage in music, poetry, literature and attunement with the wonders of nature. They are unlikely to use the medium of touch to convey a message or make a request. If they could train themselves to do so the advantages they gain would be well worth their efforts. Known generally as non-touchers, when these individuals use this medium of communication, (a touch from a Seven will always be gentle) they create an electrifying reaction in the one who is touched – a reaction that is always positive.

These partners will treasure their home for the peace and privacy it affords them after the gusts and storms they encounter in public life and as an escape from the tensions of meeting too many people in social life. The latter condition applies especially to the reserved Seven. However, neither partner would willingly choose homemaking as a career because domestic instincts are not strong in any of the vibrations that control them. They are, nevertheless, able to appreciate and undertake a responsible share of domestic duties. Their vibrations provide a high sense of duty, responsibility, honour, practicality and stability. If both enter the work scene their home may not be a showpiece, but will still be run on well disciplined and organised lines.

There are more similarities than differences in their social needs and general conduct in social gatherings. The differences will be helpful rather than harmful. Neither will strive to live up to society’s expectations. Both partners, the Seven in particular, could pursue solitary paths even when they are members of a community. The Seven’s approach will be governed by their reserved temperament and by ethical and moral principles to the exclusion of superficial and materialistic values, and by their intuitive method of looking into the nature of people and circumstances. Clubs, societies of various sorts and public places of entertainment are not quite their scene. If they are occasionally obliged to participate at such places they remain aloof and are usually among the earliest to leave. The Seventeen could place an equal, if not a higher priority on material considerations. Their analytical and logical approach can be governed by motives of expediency. In common with the Seven they do not feel compelled to become part of collective social life but, found in such circumstances, they are able to overcome their initial distaste and enjoy themselves. Their circle of friends and acquaintances may be larger than that of the Seven’s but it will be formed from the same conservative elements of society. Sevens unconsciously put on a guard in the midst of diverse company and seldom if ever drop their guard. They enjoy observing people and events from the sideline and keeping their thoughts to themselves. Seventeens are more self-confident in this respect and accept people and situations as they find them without either opening out or putting on a guard.

While some individuals are gifted with fluency of speech they may also have the noisy and disturbing quality of verbalising all their thoughts without any form of internal censorship. These are the incessant talkers who are totally incompatible with either Sevens or Seventeens. Fortunately, neither of these partners feels the need to give verbal expression to most of their thoughts or to relate their experiences. Nor do they feel the need to explain their actions. Communication between them will be confined to a few meaningful words and phrases. They become adept at non-verbal communication and subtle body language. The Seven has a habit of getting lost in thought, often creating moments of silence that talkative people find embarrassing. They are softly-spoken people devoid of tension or urgency in their speech. Seventeens are emphatic speakers who show no hesitation in declaring their views and often raise their voices when they decide to press home a point of view or cut down opposition. They can be dogmatic and often intimidating and unconscious of the distress they may cause by their lack of patience and diplomacy. Seven partners will, however, not give cause for this aspect of the Seventeen’s personality to be displayed too often.

Attributes of the 7 vibration which provide the strongest lines in this partnership could have a direct influence on their choice of hobbies and other recreational activities. Though both remain free to indulge in a personal hobby they are not likely to go their separate ways. The 7 vibration not only brings to the surface their spiritual nature but also generates a love for the past. All Seven subjects accept the present and look forward to the future with an understanding of the past. These partners can easily develop a mutual interest in history archaeology, anthropology, astrology, astronomy and other related studies. As nature lovers they are likely to pay more attention to their garden than to housekeeping. Holidays will be spent whenever possible in remote natural surroundings well away from noisy and artificial holiday resorts. Cities will attract them only for their historical interest.

People influenced by the 1, 7 and 8 vibrations either individually or collectively are among the most astute money managers. The 1 and 8 particularly, create money makers as well as money managers. The Seven and Seventeen’s attraction and attachment to money may differ slightly but their overall respect for its value in establishing a secure lifestyle is the same. Their financial position will remain stable through the influence of the 7 vibration and even more substantially through the power of the 1 and 8. The Seven neither worships nor denounces money but instead recognises that the lack of money will be the cause of an unfulfilled life. The practical side of their nature calls for material security before they go after any non-material or esoteric interests. Unwilling to compromise any ethical principles in order to increase their earnings they would be content with an adequate income, but their financial skills usually bring in more than what is merely adequate. Seventeens are not as detached in their attitude to money because they gain tremendous satisfaction in involvement in their own finances and the financial affairs of public life. The chances are that the Seventeen would take control of the finances of the partnership and they would do so because of their enthusiasm and the Seven’s willingness to hand over this responsibility, trusting in the Seventeen’s management skills.

As active vibrations control both partners neither likes being pursued or rushed into situations. Not only do they initially hold themselves back until they meet someone with the correct rhythm, but having met such a partner, their continuing physical contact will be governed by the coincidence of mood, time and circumstance. In other words both agree that their lovemaking needs to be fulfilling and charged at all times with the right atmosphere. Immaturity, impetuosity, impropriety and over-excitement are not motivating forces in their approach and response to one another. Their special temperaments do not show a need to do everything as a twosome, so a proportionate amount of togetherness and separateness will be developed. With other partners they may make a conscious effort to keep part of themselves back for fear of losing their right to self-determination, but with each other they will be relieved of this need. The great advantage they enjoy is that, in a large measure, both accept responsibility for their own happiness while at the same time remaining responsive to each other’s needs.

7TH AND 18TH BIRTHDAYS

Active vibratory forces, as opposed to those that are passive or receptive, are predominant in this combination of birthdays. People born on these days are unlikely to experience spontaneous feelings of cordiality and wellbeing, which is the immediate reaction between those of opposite polarities. We can expect Seven and Eighteen individuals to exhibit personality traits that do not immediately reciprocate. The initial impact of their vibratory forces may be negligible or even apathetic, but not necessarily hostile. A period of association on a neutral or uncommitted basis during which they discover and take pleasure in the depth and richness of each other’s personality is necessary before an enduring friendship develops. Their disinterested and perhaps guarded approach to each other will be eased as an increasing number of corresponding and complementary characteristics and talents are revealed. The fact is that neither the Seven nor the Eighteen will settle for a relationship with someone who exhibits qualities of superficiality, ego-centredness, falsity, insecurity and dependence. Nor will they tolerate overbearing, egoistic, self-opinionated and dictatorial partners. These are not individuals who can willingly or easily make personality adjustments to accommodate the expectations of others. It is not in the nature of active vibrations to do so unless there are very real benefits to be gained. Once these personalities see that such insufferable characteristics are non-existent and once more have gained an understanding and appreciation of each other’s individuality, they become aware that a partnership offers great promise. Their agreements will in fact be more important, numerous and beneficial while their differences need not be disruptive and divisive; instead, in most ways, complementary.

The Seven personality is controlled by a vibratory force that is not only unique in the sense that it functions alone in the 7th day but also this vibration has many uncommon qualities that clearly distinguishes it from others. All vibratory forces possess certain common features that help in personal, social and business interaction. The 7 is exceptional as it has the least number of such features, which accounts for the reserved, aloof and often mystifying nature of the Seven personality. They are genuine individualists in the sense that, satisfied with their own company, they do not seek to impose their will on others, or tolerate attempts by others to control their lives, or depend on others for entertainment. They do not go after positions of direct leadership but instead prefer to occupy positions of responsibility which leave them free to exercise their imagination and individuality. A lifestyle that provides silence, privacy and non-interference is their primary need so that they may remain free to indulge in their favourite pastimes of reflection, analysis, introspection, investigation and reminiscence. Not dependent on their partners or on others for stimulation and motivation they insist on doing things their own way and at their own pace. These are important aspects of the Seven personality that an Eighteen partner will have to understand and accept. Once Eighteens recognise and accept the independent and resolute nature of the Seven they would also find partners that are ideally suited to their own temperament and expectations. Eighteens cannot accept dependent, clinging and indecisive partners. They lose respect for and remain intolerant of people unable to stand on their own feet. The biggest hurdle the Eighteen has to overcome in a partnership with a Seven will be the curbing of their natural desire to take control of people and situations and to organise their lives to suit themselves. Organisation, decision, leadership, extroversion and ambition are among their outstanding qualities which can be given full leverage in public life, but will need to be kept under strict control in the domestic scene. While it is not in the nature of an Eighteen to settle into a partnership of equals the situation will be made less difficult by the Seven’s general competence and non-intrusive temperament. Adjustments will also be necessary between the Eighteen’s faster pace and the Seven’s slower and deliberate pace. It will be difficult to stereotype these individuals due to the Seven’s deep and mystifying personality and the Eighteen’s broad-based and purposeful personality.

Neither partner has a leaning towards a full-time domestic career but both are capable of discharging a portion of domestic responsibility while pursuing a career in public life. Sevens function best as free-thinking professionals in scientific research, finance, medicine, detection, investigation, natural science and tertiary education. They become disoriented and function poorly under direct supervision or amidst noise, interference, competition and interaction with diverse personality types. Eighteens are at their best facing competition and challenges in any form of business or public service and at their worst when their administrative skills are frustrated by red tape or the authority of less competent superiors. Over-absorption in their public duties at the expense of family life is a problem that will be faced by their partners. Eighteens need to be constantly on the alert to prevent transference of their authoritative public attitudes to the domestic scene.

The ability to lead a fulfilled life independent of social activity or with a minimum of social interaction is one of the exceptional features of the Seven personality. They do not feel the need to identify with a popular individual or social group, however, identification with a spiritual leader or spiritual or cultural group will be an exception. Most Sevens feel restless, impatient and uncomfortable in assorted company not only due to their penetrating insight into character and inability to suffer fools gladly, but also very often from their underestimation of their own worth. Self-analysis could be taken too seriously. A Seven would seldom take the initiative to get to know people. Eighteens do not wait for others to reach out to them, nor are they as selective in their choice of company as are the Sevens. Their greater self-confidence and higher self-evaluation enables them to enter into and handle a great variety of personality types without suffering too many ill-effects. While Sevens may avoid or escape from inharmonious people and situations, Eighteens take command and alter conditions to conform to their ways of enjoying themselves. While Sevens generally pursue a solitary path Eighteens automatically recruit a following of supporters and admirers. While Sevens are quite indifferent to status symbols of any sort, these are important to the Eighteen who may often use social contacts for advancement in business life – a measure the Seven would not contemplate. The Seven’s reserved and the Eighteen’s extroverted social attitudes should be seen as complementary rather than burdensome. The Seven would be quite content to occupy an inconspicuous position while the Eighteen enjoys self-expression in the forefront of social life.

Oral expression and communication between these partners will follow the same pattern of reticence and boldness. As people of few words Sevens cannot be drawn into prolonged conversation or argument, except when a subject in which they have a specialised knowledge is introduced. They are in fact lazy speakers who have developed the art of expressing themselves in a few well chosen words that rarely invite challenge or contradiction. The head rules the heart when the Seven forms an opinion and their opinions are seldom volunteered. Eighteens are ruled by the combined operation of head and heart. Interaction of reason and emotion is evident in the lucid and enthusiastic manner in which they verbalise their thoughts, and in their intense and forceful body language. As emphatic speakers they do not hesitate to announce their opinions, nor do they let themselves be trapped into defensive positions. They are not constant talkers and more of their time is spent in thought and action. Conversation between Sevens and Eighteens will be brief but meaningful and substituted from time to time by non-verbal communication. They experience no difficulty enjoying each other’s company without saying too much.

Hobbies and other recreational activities taken up by these partners are likely to take widely different directions, yet will not create feelings of isolation, loneliness, neglect or disloyalty in either party. The foundation of this partnership is built to a large extent on individuality and self-reliance, and not on interdependence and possessiveness. Sevens are usually indifferent to highly competitive sport and especially those involving body contact and the use of physical force. Nor are they club oriented people who enjoy prominent roles as players or officials. Their choice of hobbies will be governed by their love of nature, the fascination with the past and their curiosity and courage to delve into matters beyond the physical senses. They are found among naturalists, historians, archaeologists, archivists, spiritualists and antiquarians either in a professional capacity or as private students. They are also drawn to mystical and metaphysical studies. Eighteens, in contrast, are highly competitive individuals who revel in the fame and financial advantages to be found in popular sport. They excel as competitors, coaches and administrators. As in their business life they are likely to put in an extraordinary amount of time and energy into their recreational interests at the expense of quality time with their families. While Sevens can separate business and personal interests Eighteens could use their leisure activities (as they do with their social contacts) to promote their business interests. They are by no means indifferent or disloyal to their loved ones, but over-enthusiasm and the desire for pre-eminence in whatever they undertake have a stronger hold on them. They are willing to associate with their Seven partners in the pursuit of knowledge, but the time factor will usually hinder their best intentions. Consequently, while the use of the Seven’s potential for participation in higher dimensions of life will be continuous, the Eighteen’s may be intermittent.

The partnership’s financial resources will seldom, if ever, be endangered by mismanagement or emotionally motivated spending habits. The Seven looks upon money only as a means of preserving a modest and secure lifestyle so that more important matters can be ministered to without anxiety over their financial position. To achieve this end they handle regular expenditure as well as larger investments with caution and self-control. Their personal needs are never extravagant, as Sevens can settle down to enjoy what they possess instead of falling into the wasteful habit of losing interest in what they have and constantly looking for new amusements. Eighteens look upon money not only as the only means of satisfying their expensive tastes but as a definite source of power and prestige. Their personal expenses are higher and more extended than that of the Seven’s but their capacity to earn money is proportionately higher. Their money management skills are equally proficient and reveal generosity to themselves as well as their loved ones. While the Seven’s attention to financial matters ceases once they have obtained their needs the Eighteen is constantly on the alert for financial opportunities. However, the influence of the underlying 9 vibration could modify this drive. A slight interchange of the different attitudes of these partners is not impossible, especially on the part of the Eighteen.

Their interaction will certainly awaken dimensions in each personality which otherwise may lie dormant. The Seven will evoke the cultural and spiritual aspects inherent in the Eighteen through the 9 vibration in the background of their personality. The Eighteen, in turn, will ensure that the Seven does not withdraw too far into themselves or deprive themselves and others of the wealth to be enjoyed in human interaction. Once a commitment is made these are individuals who look forward to an enduring relationship. They may be sparing in their praise of one another but their love and devotion will be shown in their loyalty. Both believe that what they do is more important than what they say. Superficiality and shallowness are qualities that would quickly undermine the Seven’s or Eighteen’s confidence. As these negative qualities are quite foreign to both partners their commitment will reach deep levels of trust and fidelity. Although their emotions are seldom exposed, both are sensitive to extraneous influences. Though not negative in itself this aspect of their personality could produce certain negatives. On account of their greater variety of activity and involvement with diverse personality types the Eighteen is exposed to more emotional disturbances which are likely to affect their family life. Sevens take constant care to avoid persons and situations that could cause emotional turbulence. They may distance themselves too much from life’s experiences and create an aura of inapproachability.

7TH AND 19TH BIRTHDAYS

Odd numbers representing active vibrations govern this set of birthdays. As a consequence, individual and independent characteristics outnumber interdependent and cooperative ones, thus reducing the chances of a spontaneous attraction taking place between persons born on the 7th and 19th days. An initial acquaintance could expose personality traits which lead to misunderstanding until a period of time is allowed for a clear insight to be gained into their particular temperaments. Given the nature of the vibrations that govern these birthdays a speedy perception can be expected. Some unmistakable and inescapable features evident in both personalities are individuality, independence, authority, initiative, self-sufficiency, ambition, loyalty and dedication to whatever task or responsibility they undertake. Though both personalities are independent and individualistic by nature the methods by which they express these personality traits are not the same. Consequently, the chances of confrontation are reduced and the chances of compatibility increased. There are other rewarding features that will assist in a timely reconciliation of their early conflicts. The 7 and 9 vibrations evoke and foster, in different ways, the spiritual element underlying all vibratory forces. A measure of spirituality will therefore remain as an undertone in the thoughts and actions of both Sevens and Nineteens, and will reduce the personality clashes inevitable between individuals of the same polarity. It will also assist in the development of attitudes peculiar to even numbers or receptive vibrations such as compliance, cooperation, agreeability, patience, service, reciprocity and companionship. Personality adjustments will in the course of time be made to conform to a partnership of equals based on mutual respect and a division of responsibility rather than one based on the authority or leadership of one partner over the other.

The individuality of the Seven personality is manifested in an obvious contentment with their own company and an aloofness in assorted company. They are, for the most part, self-possessed and reserved people who relish silence, privacy, solitude and attunement with natural surroundings. Studious and contemplative by nature they find fulfilment in the accumulation of specialised knowledge both in the physical and non-physical realms of life. As long as they are left to their own devices they will not be prompted to impose their will on others. They are neither subservient nor dominant but make excellent partners to those who look for self-reliance, self-discipline, non-interference and loyalty. A Seven will be a great disappointment to one who seeks a submissive partner or one who frequently resorts to joviality, sociability, extroversion, change and talkativeness. The centralisation of the attributes of the 7 vibration accounts for their uncompromising nature. Vibrations from other areas of influence are made to conform and assist in the general Seven pattern rather than modify its character. The authority of the Seven personality is demonstrated through specialised knowledge and dignified body language. Their speech contains a degree of finality that is seldom challenged. Their abundance of initiative and curiosity is usually directed into research and investigation of the empirical sciences as well as the occult sciences. The word ‘occult’ is used strictly within the dictionary meaning of the word and not within the meaning tendered by religious fundamentalists.

Purely physical exertion is avoided unless it is related to their interests in the natural sciences or as field archaeologists and geologists. Unlike the generality of humankind their ambitions and aims in life are not wholly oriented towards the acquisition of personal power, fame and extensive material possessions, but rather towards the accumulation of worthwhile knowledge. Knowledge is the source of power to the Seven, and depending on the individual Seven’s stage of personal development, there is either a conscious or subconscious awareness that it is the knowledge they have acquired that will be carried over after transition from the physical body. Everything else is left behind.

The 19th is a compound of vibrations representing beginning, and therefore contain all attributes needed for self-motivation, and vibrations symbolising completion with the qualities acquired in the process. The result is quite exceptional in that it produces a positive and superior personality type whose potential can only be temporarily restricted by harsh environmental conditions. The Nineteen is a qualified One personality as the number 19 reduces to 1 (1 + 9 = 10 = 1). The attributes of the 1 vibration manifest in the outer personality as well as at a fundamental level. These reinforced 1 qualities provide tremendous strength to the integral Nineteen character. The 9 vibration on the other hand serves to intensify and expand the best 1 characteristics while refining those that are less desirable. Typical 1 characteristics which are enriched and diversified in this way are ambition, initiative, leadership, authority, self-confidence, willpower, physical courage, vital energy, enterprise, inventiveness and creativity. Traits which are modified and refined into more acceptable forms by the wisdom and polish of the 9 are egotism, self-centredness, aggressiveness, noncooperation and pride. The concentrated force of ego, usual in the plain One, is loosened by an expanded field of consciousness giving the Nineteen a greater sense of fellowship and modesty. The tendency to dominate people and circumstances is changed to a respect for the individuality and liberty of others. Consequently, Nineteens assert their natural authority in more humane and understanding ways. They are also more amenable to cooperative living and to relationships based on mutual action. Self-reliant Sevens should be ideal partners in this respect as the Nineteen’s individuality and independence will be respected rather than challenged, thus opening the way for them to do likewise.

Neither the Seven nor the Nineteen will voluntarily take up a career as a homemaker. No doubt, the Seven will look upon their home as a sanctuary that gives them the seclusion, privacy, and peace they so urgently seek for their general wellbeing and self-development. They do not, however, find actual domestic duties attractive, but such duties that fall to their lot will be performed faithfully and efficiently. They are professionals by temperament who choose to work for themselves or in inconspicuous positions with minimum interaction with associates, subordinates or superiors. Given the opportunity, most Sevens will opt out of competitive assignments and spend time specialising in a chosen profession. They are captured by the 7 vibration’s instinctive urge to probe into the nature of things, including their own complex nature. Nineteens are well equipped to fit into a complex and demanding public life. Unlike their Seven partners they set out to acquire and occupy conspicuous positions as leaders, decision makers, directors and trendsetters. They are seldom disoriented by the jumble of vibratory influences that are inescapable in public life as they instinctively make themselves positive to outside pressures. There is much less need for them to resort to the tranquillity of their homes for re-charging their batteries. Consequently they may find it difficult to fit into a dual role of domestic and public duty.

The social needs of these partners and their general conduct in society will reveal conspicuous dissimilarities in their dispositions. Unless they are negatively geared, Sevens are not anti-social people although many average Sevens may be regarded as such. They are merely reserved types who cannot be described as gregarious, convivial or socially oriented. Being exceptionally selective of the company they keep their limited sociability is intimately tied up with the nature of their environment. Found in a social scene not of their own choosing they come across as distant and aloof observers. In company they approve of they are witty and knowledgeable participants. Nineteens do not have the same reservations as they are free from the fear of being engulfed by a variety of personality types and their mixed vibrations, which is a common problem with Sevens. Their extroverted nature remains unaffected by variety and diversity, thanks to the influence of the self-assertive 1 vibration and the all-embracing 9 vibration. They usually take charge of social situations and gather around them a following of loyal admirers. Though the social attitudes of Sevens and Nineteens differ considerably their individuality remains intact. Neither feels the need to participate in group activity in order to feel similar to others, nor do they have the need to feel different from others by associating with a particular group and looking disdainfully on others who are not members of their group. Though Nineteens are socially extroverted people they are not excitable, indiscrete types. They are unlikely to cause distress to their Seven partners. On the contrary they may often take upon themselves social pressures the Seven would wish to avoid.

The Seven will certainly look to their Nineteen partners to assist and relieve them in general conversation in a social scene. Verbalisation and articulation are not among the Seven’s special forms of self-expression. In fact they are among the least important. Their tendency is to fulfil themselves in inner thought and direct action more so than in speech and surface activity. They find it extremely painful to participate in prolonged conversation on marginal issues just to pass the time away. While they can be intolerant of trivia, falsity and inaccuracy they are quickly captivated by knowledge and clarity of speech. Harmony in a Seven/Nineteen household can be expected as the Nineteen is neither a frivolous nor a constant talker. Neither partner, therefore, will be a source of irritation to the other through unnecessary speech. In common with the Seven the Nineteen may ponder over profound issues unlike the Seven who seldom volunteers opinions, they do not keep their findings to themselves. Rightfully or wrongfully they offer their opinions, often using commanding body language when doing so. Oratorical excellence is attainable by the nineteen with proper training. Communication by means of touch will not be an obvious feature of this relationship as spontaneous expression of their emotions is not natural to either partner. However, as the intuitive faculty is highly developed in both, by virtue of the 7 and 9 vibrations, non-verbal and non-tactile communication will become a routine feature. They would be quite content to enjoy each other’s company without demonstration of emotion or excessive speech.

Being naturally perceptive individuals Sevens and Nineteens will endeavour to affect a balance in their relationship by developing their complementary characteristics and talents. If Sevens are better able to do certain things the Nineteen will let them take over, and likewise, the Seven will gladly release the Nineteen to do what they are better able to do. At the same time they are also capable of joining forces in activities that provide mutual enjoyment and self-expression of similar talents. Their leisure activities will bring them together through common interest in music, literature, esoteric studies and travel for educational purposes. They are also conditioned to take up and enjoy solo interests, allowing themselves a proportionate amount of togetherness and separateness. It is not in the nature of either to feel threatened by the individuality or individual interests of the other, either in their careers or private interests. The Seven, as usual, will be inclined to specialise in a few chosen pastimes while the Nineteen will always remain open to new experiences.

Management of their financial affairs should not give rise to any serious problem as this aspect of their partnership, along with others, will be based on mutual trust and dedication to duty. Both Sevens and Nineteens are responsible money managers and so cooperation in this area of their partnership will ensure financial security. Day-to-day matters are likely to be taken up by the Seven who will use thrift and self-control in spending and perseverance in saving. They do not let the profound issues of life interfere with mundane responsibilities unless they fall into the negative category. Nineteens may become involved in extended outside interests leaving little time for everyday money matters. In larger issues the Seven may be inclined to exercise caution and patience while the Nineteen will be prepared to make bolder moves. A negative view of life which breeds distrust and suspicion will be most unusual in the natural Nineteen. Any deviation from a positive outlook could only be temporary and caused by extraordinary environmental influences. Sevens who are born in the 7th month are overloaded with the qualities of their birth force. These Sevens may suffer from scepticism, suspicion and distrust, while the average Seven escapes these negative traits.

Both Sevens and Nineteens have extended and sensitive intimate zones. They would never consciously invade the personal space of another and are ever vigilant in the company of people who they feel are likely to invade their personal space. They are quite at ease in each other’s company in the knowledge that they are free from sudden inroads into each other’s physical, mental and emotional privacy. As there is nothing that is superficial about either personality their love is deep-seated and unchanging. Love is communicated through meaningful looks and smiles rather than outward demonstrations. Rather than talk about their feelings, both prefer to translate them into thoughtful and romantic actions.

7TH AND 20TH BIRTHDAYS

Please refer to the chapter on the 2nd and 7th birthdays. 2nd and 20th birthdays create almost identical personality types in whom all attributes of the 2 vibration are unqualified and unmistakable. The Zero does not introduce additional attributes, but in most cases it may intensify 2 characteristics. A positive Twenty/Two may be slightly more effective than a positive Two while a negative Twenty/Two may have to struggle harder in the battle against self-deprecating tendencies.

7TH AND 21ST BIRTHDAYS

Please refer to the chapter on the 7th and 12th birthdays. Qualified Three personalities are formed by the 12th and 21st days. In both birthdays the 1, 2 and 3 vibrations interact to form a positive, alert, intelligent and versatile personality. The difference in the integral personality structures of the Twelve and Twenty-One caused by the reversal of the position of the 1 and 2 vibrations is negligible. The power of the underlying 3 vibration remains the same in both individuals.

7TH AND 22ND BIRTHDAYS

In many ways this is a rare combination of high calibre vibratory forces. It is one of a few birthday combinations with the potential for an equal or balanced manifestation of the physical and spiritual aspects of life. The vibrations operating in the 7th and 22nd days are interrelated and interconnected, yet separate and identifiable. On the one hand practicality and spirituality are twin aspects of the personality of people with these birthdays, and on the other hand, these features are expressed in different ways giving each a distinct individuality. In other words, where similarities cease complementary features should emerge to enrich and strengthen a relationship between them. However, not all Sevens and Twenty-Twos are favoured with balanced personalities, nor do combinations of Sevens and Twenty-Twos find themselves in this enviable condition of evenness and compatibility. An overall positive temperament is a prerequisite for this condition. Willpower, decision, self-assurance, self-esteem and self-direction are among the chief attributes of positivity. They are certain to be found in individuals with the 1 vibration in their birth months, and to a lesser degree in other spheres of influence. Positive qualities will compete with those that are negative in birthdays that do not have the backing of this motivating force, and the degrees of balance and stability will vary accordingly. The Seven personality may not be as disadvantaged by the absence of the 1 vibration as the Twenty-Two. The majority of Sevens who are deficient in this activating force are not wholly negative due to the tremendous self-sufficiency of the 7 vibration. The Seven personality is a self-contained, private and reserved individual who does not depend on others to provide them with avenues or opportunities for fulfilment and self-expression, compared with other personality types. They insist on creating their own opportunities as well as keeping strictly to their own pace and system of priorities. They do not experience the loneliness and restlessness suffered by people who need a wide field of activity in the company of others. Positive Sevens are also self-controlled, self-analytical and self-disciplined people who seldom expose their sentiments. In the case of negative Sevens their inadequacies are more imagined than real and are brought about by extreme reserve, suspicion, escapism and other introverted habits. All Sevens, whether negative or positive do not spare themselves from self-criticism. Those who are negative will always carry this habit to unreasonable lengths. The average Seven personality is not easily understood unless they meet an exceptionally perceptive individual such as a Twenty-Two.

The number 22 is the symbol of a master vibration operating on a very high frequency. The direct consequences of this are superior qualities of thought and action in the positive Twenty-Two personality and the very effective ways negative Twenty-Twos demonstrate their characteristics. While the positive Twenty-Two maintains balance between spiritual and material values and a higher than average standard in everything they do, negative Twenty-Twos lose their sense of balance and incline more towards the physical and material. Emotional stability which is one of the positive Twenty-Two’s greatest strengths turns to emotional instability in the negative Twenty-Two. Self-consciousness, poor self-esteem and hypersensitivity become real problems. While their capacity to perform any practical undertaking with exceptional efficiency remains unchanged much opportunity is lost due to these self-defeating traits. Their inner conflicts are more than that of the average Seven due to the urge for involvement with people on a wide scale on the one hand, and their feelings of personal inadequacy on the other. They are also unconsciously restless and disoriented as a result of the dominance of their physical side over their spiritual side.

While positivity in a Seven and a Twenty-Two is a guarantee of success in public life as well as in an intimate relationship negativity in one or both will create many obstacles to be faced and overcome. Introverted attitudes in the Seven and touchiness on the part of the Twenty-Two, and suspicion and distrust in the nature of both, will be among their major defect. However, average Sevens and Twenty-Twos in whom negative traits emerge no more than as normal feelings of insecurity stand more than a fair chance of forming a very compatible relationship. Both partners will recognise the need to reconcile the upward pull of their spiritual nature and the downward draw of their physical nature, and as a natural progression unite as a team in their quest for a balanced lifestyle.

Sevens see themselves as a combination of the researcher, student and teacher; more often as self-teachers rather than conveyors of knowledge to others. Twenty-Twos see themselves as the practical visionary involved with people for their material and spiritual enrichment. While the thoughts of the Seven flow into research, analysis and specialisation the thoughts of the Twenty-Two run along constructive and productive lines. Both look inwards as well as outwards for self-development and self-expression. However, an emphasis on the internal by the Seven and the external by the Twenty-Two constitutes the basic difference between the two personalities. Mental activity is intense in both with clear ideas of what they want in life. Neither personality could bear to waste time on matters unrelated to their individual and collective aims. In their pursuit of knowledge on the one hand and service to humankind on the other, ego consciousness, followed by the tendency to exercise authority over others, is largely abandoned. Both become absorbed in the work they undertake without having their egos stand in their way. In the domestic scene neither partner will emerge as a leader or as a follower. Maintaining their individuality and freedom of action is more important than flaunting their real or imagined authority. Nor will one or the other need the shelter of a stronger personality. Both are eminently suited to shoulder responsibility in any area of activity. While dedication to domestic life on a full-time basis may not be welcomed they would not let each other down in shared domestic duties. Deviation from this practice will be caused only by an excess of negative traits. A badly negative Seven may attempt to escape responsibility and live in a dream world. Some Twenty-Twos may try to dominate their Seven partners while others may experience difficulty making decisions and therefore fail to make any worthwhile contribution.

The social scene will see the Twenty-Two emerge as the extroverted and enterprising partner. While the Seven limits social life to certain family members and carefully selected friends, Twenty-Twos set no limits or exceptions. They are cosmopolitan people who enjoy friends and acquaintances from all walks of life. In all aspects of life the master vibration 22 is on the one hand, boundless in its potential for diversity, and on the other hand guarded by good sense of proportion. Most Twenty-Twos, therefore, inherit the capacity to extend their lifestyle in several directions without neglecting one or overindulging in another. Their social activities are unlikely to be taken to such lengths that would impair their harmony with Seven partners. On the contrary, they could prevent the Seven from withdrawing too far into solitary activities. Though naturally circumspect and reluctant to reveal their knowledge except within special groups, Sevens have much to contribute to popular circles. As there is always the danger that some Sevens could feel elitist and therefore keep away from normal social intercourse a measure of understanding and tolerance is what many Sevens need. Both Sevens and Twenty-Twos are unconventional in the sense that they refuse to submit to superficial social standards. They are at the same time conservative people in the sense that neither would indulge in any spectacular or outrageous conduct in order to draw the attention of others. Both choose to make their presence felt by working behind the scenes rather than in prominent positions. They will be known for the practical help they give rather than by proffered theories and opinions.

Seven personalities are governed predominantly by mind while Twenty-Twos are ruled by heart and mind. The difference is directly reflected in their speech and action. Mental and spiritual orientation, practicality and their reserved nature combine to make the Seven an essentially taciturn individual. Contemplation and introspection are far more enjoyable and productive pastimes than conversation, dissertation and argument. Most Sevens may lack fluency of speech but this is supplemented by a natural talent for reducing whatever they have to say to a few meaningful words. They see little purpose in elaboration and explanation. They are softly-spoken people who are careful to choose the right time and company before they reveal their thoughts and opinions. Exceptions will certainly be made on matters that are of special interest to them and with people they acknowledge as their peers or superiors in knowledge. Though oral expression is seldom coloured by demonstrative body language they exercise a magnetic hold on an audience as it is known that when a Seven speaks out they usually have something worthwhile paying attention to. Twenty-Twos lead busy lives and will appreciate this aspect of the Seven’s personality. Communication between these partners will seldom, if ever, deteriorate into argument or prolonged deliberation as the Twenty-Two is also able to handle most issues with brief sentences. They are, however, not as restricted as the Seven in oral expression, and when the occasion demands, and when they are freed from functional responsibilities, they can enjoy and contribute to lively general conversation. There will be no lack of communication between these partners as they will soon discover that the interests they share in common, such as the arts, literature, music and metaphysical studies are much more than either would find outside their relationship. The greatest advantage they possess is the awareness that there is only so much that can be gained by logical analysis of a problem, and that the rest is dependent on something extra that lies beyond the normal range of the physical senses.

Leisure activities and other individual interests will automatically fall into the two basic divisions of the Seven and Twenty-Two personality structures, namely the physical/practical and the spiritual/ idealistic. The richness and abundance of talent in both partners will be displayed in the freedom of leisure activity. The Seven’s affinity with all aspects of the natural environment inevitably combines the opposite sides of their personality. Either consciously or subconsciously they are uplifted to higher dimensions of being when they are in communion with nature (a condition they seldom experience in their interaction with fellow humans). Many Sevens have a scientific turn of mind while others possess a fascination for humanity’s past. The riddle of life also holds an irresistible attraction to most Sevens. They feel that their leisure time is entirely their own during which they should be left free to indulge in their essentially solitary pastimes. In contrast to the Seven’s affinity with nature is the Twenty-Two’s kinship or affinity with humanity, or precisely the welfare of humanity. The gift they have in common with the Seven, usually in a higher degree, is the ability to unite their practical talents and manual dexterity with their spiritual aspirations. Their compelling desire is to go out into the world at large and function as practical idealists. Much more of their time will be spent in humanitarian activities than in self-study as their urge to act is much stronger than their need to acquire abstract knowledge, as is the inclination of the Seven. As most Twenty-Twos are attuned to high frequencies they possess a better awareness of how people feel and what they need. Sevens and Twenty-Twos have too many basic values in common to work towards separate aims in life. Their methods may differ but their ultimate spiritual destination is the same. Neither partner will want to carry an excess of material baggage in their journey through life. Both leave ample room for elevating the moral tone and quality of life, and the secular and sacred aspects of life are given equal attention as both realise that concentration on one at the expense of the other only leads to an unbalanced life. Both partners have the capacity to survive a financial crisis. Exercising self-discipline and using whatever resources that are at hand they can make the best of bad circumstances until they rise above adversity. All Sevens are shrewd money managers. They treat money as an essential means of exchange which takes care of the mundane aspects of life so that its more meaningful purposes will not be neglected. They do not regard money as a desirable possession for its own sake or for the power and fame it brings. In this partnership money matters will be best handled by the Seven. Twenty-Twos can vary in their attitude towards money. Most positive Twenty-Twos could be indifferent to wealth and become over-generous and extravagant in their spending habits while negative Twenty-Twos could be greedy and materialistic, deriving a false sense of power through their worldly possessions.

An unmistakable feature of a Seven/Twenty-Two home will be the absence of idleness, boredom and inconsequential activity. While a great deal of the Seven’s time is taken up in developing expertise in one field or another Twenty-Twos may yield to the temptation to prove themselves in several fields with the determination to achieve distinction in all of them. The truth is that neither partner is fenced in by self-interest or pride of ego, but in their eagerness to achieve excellence in their chosen vocations and avocations they may be forgetful of the need of spending some quality time with each other and with their loved ones. Despite their efforts to reach a good balance in their lives they may miss out on an adequate degree of togetherness. Between themselves, they may get by quite well with a minimum of intimate time, because their relationship will rest on deeper attractions of the mind and soul, but their dependants may need more outward demonstrations of their love and devotion which can be given only when an effort is made to ensure they take time away from their personal projects.

7TH AND 23RD BIRTHDAYS

In a broad classification of personality types those with single digit birthdays fall into a different group to those with multiple digit birthdays. The fundamental difference is centralisation of the attributes of a single vibratory force in one and a multiplicity of vibratory forces and their attributes in the other. Some such combinations could greatly favour compatibility while others introduce several obstacles to be acknowledged and overcome. The degree of success or failure usually depends on the polarity of the vibrations interacting within a particular combination. A reasonable balance between active and receptive forces (odd and even numbers) creates a spontaneous attraction and the promise of a harmonious relationship based on cooperation and reciprocity. Combinations in which receptive vibrations are predominant may also be harmonious due to the non-aggressive and non-assertive nature of these forces, but such combinations may not turn out to be energetic, ambitious and adventuresome. A combination governed predominantly by active vibrations such as the 7th and 23rd birthdays is likely to give rise to individualistic forces that are independent or confrontational rather than corresponding or complementary.

The natural magnetism that would draw people of opposite polarities together may not attract Seven and Twenty-Three personalities. In any case the respective lifestyles chosen by them are unlikely to cross and provide opportunity for them to get to know each other. However, if by some unusual turn of events these individuals are brought into close contact their initial reactions to each other could be one of neutrality. If their association is continued for business or other non-personal reasons several mixed reactions will be generated. They will see each other as totally different types yet, at the same time, having certain similarities of temperament. Apart from a distinct individuality, curiosity is a trait they share and this could lead to both taking up the challenge of investigating each other’s personality. In the process they could develop a challenging and mutually rewarding friendship.

The first impression made on a Seven by a Twenty-Three is likely to be that of a fast-moving type who habitually takes people for granted. Sevens would find such a manner objectionable. The first impression made on the Twenty-Three by the Seven could be one of distance, unsociability and detachment. Twenty-Threes would prefer to leave them alone. These first impressions would be a mixture of truth and error. The inconsistency is due to the fact that the Seven is a naturally reserved and relatively closed-in personality who resents even the slightest intrusion upon their sense of privacy, although they are not averse to listening to news about others. Twenty-Threes are extroverted and accessible personalities who are delightful company and are not hesitant to talk about themselves. They judge and treat others by their own extroverted standards. In different ways both personalities are subject to emotional injury. Sevens conceal their vulnerability with silence and retirement into the seclusion of their gardens, their libraries or other private hobbies. Twenty-Threes conceal their vulnerability by over-activity and an excess of speech and humour. However, the greater the self-confidence in each the less there is the need to resort to these defensive measures. Self-confidence, self-possession and self-direction are mutual characteristics in Sevens and Twenty-Threes if they are favoured with the 1 vibration in their birth months. This is the self-assertive and motivating force behind all processes of growth in the physical and material aspects of life. When it is not present in sufficient strength in the birth date individuals lose incentive and suffer low self-esteem, despite the fact that they may be laden with other talents. The effect is greater in the Twenty-Thee than in the Seven as their multitude of talents become a disadvantage in the sense that they are pulled in different directions by the demands of the diverse aspects of their personality, with the inevitable result being loss of direction, constancy and stability. The principal effect on the Seven is to increase their reserve to a degree that makes them introverted individuals. Though not as effective when it is found in the birth month the position is relieved when the 1 vibration is found in strength in the name through the letters a, j and s. A total of three or more of these letters is sufficient to encourage positive attitudes and enable the Twenty-Three, especially, to keep in the main directions of life while the rest remain flexible. If the given name reduces to 1 their chances are greatly increased. Positive Sevens and positive Twenty-Threes stand a better chance of understanding each other than a partnership in which one or both have negative tendencies, as these positive partners will be prepared to take up the challenge.

This partnership is unlikely to see the emergence of either a leader or a follower, nor will cooperative and reciprocal actions arise spontaneously. Both partners will prefer separate responsibilities. As their nature is to work alone Sevens will insist on non-interference and dismiss the Twenty-Three’s style of doing things as too speedy, changeable and often irresponsible. The Twenty-Three, alternatively, needs complete freedom of movement and will refuse to be slowed down or restricted by interrelated obligations. Their awareness and versatility being widespread, they possess the urge and ability to perform more than one task at a time. The Seven who is usually a perfectionist and needs to concentrate on one thing at a time before moving on to another will not agree with the Twenty-Three’s diversity of activity.

Neither partner is domesticated by nature. Both are likely to suffer conflict between essential domestic duties and their vocational and recreational interests. The Seven may find it easier to reconcile these conflicts as the outer world does not pull them away from home as much as it does the Twenty-Three. The Seven’s home is a sacred refuge from the turmoil they encounter in the outer world. Their introspective and contemplative pleasures can only be enjoyed in the peace and tranquillity of the home. Twenty-Threes feel at home in most conditions and do not need to use their home as a means of escape or as a place for recuperation and self-development. They are active, energetic and restless people who find more opportunities for self-expression outside home.

Unavoidable differences in their social needs and general conduct in a social scene can also be expected. Sevens steer their way through life principally as observers, thinkers and students, moving in the background of activity, while Twenty-Threes carry on as performers and participants in the forefront of activity. Sevens enjoy solitude and attunement with nature. Consequently, being alone is not equated with a state of loneliness. Twenty-Threes need people, and activity among people at all times. Although silence and solitude are necessary from time to time to recharge their spent energies they become agitated and restless when left in a state of inactivity and quietude. The Seven’s company could be of considerable therapeutic value. Twenty-Threes are relaxed, informal and casual in any social scene. Their friendship is easily gained but its continuance is uncertain as they keep moving from scene to scene. Though Sevens initially remain aloof and defensive, once their friendship has been won, not only is an innate kindness revealed but also a depth and constancy in their friendship is assured. Sevens behave as they do because many nurture the belief that they are not the same as others. This belief is not entirely false but could eventually operate as a limitation. The influence of a Twenty-Three partner will draw them out of their isolation or detachment into a reasonable interaction with people and the realisation that they have much to give and receive. The Seven’s influence, in turn, will curb over-enthusiasm and an excess of social involvement on the part of the Twenty-Three, and more importantly, teach them to rely on themselves to develop an inner peace rather than depending on others and outer circumstances for stimulation and pleasure. Twenty-Threes could be too dependent on the approval of others and reactive to the fluctuations of popular fashions and fads.

Among the several contrasts that are clearly evident are their different methods of oral expression. Sevens are among the most taciturn individuals while Twenty-Threes are among the most talkative. Sevens do not volunteer opinions and are usually taken aback and may become tongue-tied when asked a direct personal question. Twenty-Threes constantly express their opinions and open out with great delight when asked a personal question. Fluency of speech is not an attribute of the 7 vibration while it is one of the main assets of the 2, 3 and 5 vibrations that form the personality of the Twenty-Three. Aided by dignified body language Sevens choose their words carefully in order to achieve the greatest effect while the Twenty-Three’s speech is effusive, colourful and extravagant, and accompanied by vibrant and ‘infectious’ body language. They are natural entertainers with a keen sense of wit and repartee. Speech is an important means by which they release their tensions. They are impatient listeners who seldom resist the urge to finish the sentences of slow-speaking people and resume their own flow of speech. Sevens are patient listeners as long as they are not forced to listen to trivial matters and the juvenile humour of adults. Twenty-Threes are usually leaders in conversation and constantly switch from one topic to another. Sevens will refuse to be drawn into long discussions relished by Twenty-Threes, while Twenty-Threes will not be satisfied with the Seven’s dismissal of an issue with a few indisputable comments.

It is most unlikely that these partners will choose the same or similar hobbies or spend their leisure time in each other’s company. Not only do their personal interests follow different directions but they are also independent people who do not look for support and companionship of a partner during their free time. This should act as an advantage as both will be fulfilled in whatever pastimes they choose. They will not be under constraint to support each other or account for each other’s time. Sevens seek physical outlets in gardening and sporting activities in natural surroundings such as fishing, boating, bushwalking, birdwatching and similar nature-oriented hobbies. Their mental and emotional outlets will be found in music (classical and sacred) and in books (scientific and metaphysical). As the tendency of the Seven is to specialise in whatever they undertake their hobbies will invariably become lifetime pastimes. The nature of the Twenty-Three is to experience and enjoy as wide a range of activity and adventure as possible, particularly in the artistic and social aspects of life. In one way or another all Twenty-Threes seek self-expression in the arts. With tremendous work power, high sense of beauty, accuracy, colour and romance and with spontaneous emotional expression and good humour they are natural entertainers, actors and actresses. As they constantly seek new sources of excitement and stimulation they do not remain devoted to a particular pastime. Their hobbies will seldom remain home based. Social life and leisure activity will be interrelated. While Sevens choose out-of-the-way sports and a minimum of team play with little or no associated social life Twenty-Threes choose popular sports and revel in their social activities.

The 7 vibration is a curious mixture of the physical and spiritual aspects of life. The spiritual prevents the Seven personality from forming an attachment to the material side of life but does not remove a high sense of responsibility and efficiency in all physical undertakings. This is evident in their attitude towards money. While not permitting money to consume their lives or influence their moral principles, they maintain a healthy respect for its value in providing a comfortable and secure lifestyle, which in turn, allows them to pursue cultural, spiritual or scientific interests without undue anxiety over mundane affairs. All Sevens are therefore good money managers who spend judiciously and plan for the future. They are self-disciplined people who can hold back their wants until they can afford material comforts. The finances of a Seven/Twenty-Three partnership should be held in the safe hands of the Seven. Twenty-Threes also are not attached to money for its own sake but, unlike the Seven, they do not possess an appreciation of its value in setting up a secure lifestyle. They are impatient people who spend freely as their wants must be satisfied immediately. Personal expenses are much higher than that of the Seven as personal adornment and expensive tastes make bigger demands on their finances. They are modern and up-to-date people who insist on keeping up with the latest fashions in all aspects of living. They are not interested in planning ahead as their life is usually full of changes. Their optimistic attitudes towards money are quite a contrast to the Seven’s cautious ways.

Time and understanding will be needed in their intimate relations due to the Twenty-Three’s spontaneity in all their actions and the Seven’s reserve. Many Sevens could be too busy being serious and self-analytical and deprive themselves of the lighter pleasures of life while Twenty-Threes could be too busy enjoying the lighter side of life to bother about self-analysis and the more profound meaning of life. In lovemaking Twenty-Threes do not wait till the mood and circumstances are suitable but the Seven’s lovemaking is reserved for the proper time, place and mood, especially mood. They are exceptionally good lovers when these conditions are met, and become agitated with too much body closeness so the Twenty-Three’s desire for this closeness may not always be welcome. Nor is non-sexual touching used by Sevens as a means of communication, however, Twenty-Threes use this medium quite often and invariably to their advantage as it is seldom that others could refuse a request which is accompanied by a friendly touch given by someone with the social charms of a Twenty-Three.

7TH AND 24TH BIRTHDAYS

The interaction of the concentrated power of a single active vibration with the combined strength of three receptive vibrations sets the pattern for this birthday combination. The forces set in motion are irresistibly drawn together by the magnetism of opposite polarities. Subjects of the 7th and 24th birthdays are certain to experience this spontaneous attraction. Acquaintanceships could develop rapidly into close friendships, and in the case of opposite sexes, into permanent relationships. The opposite forces that in the first instance drew them together will sooner or later reveal some firm personality traits in each partner that would need understanding and acceptance. A Seven/Twenty-Four couple will not be free from the need for certain personality adjustments in the course of time. The extent and nature of these adjustments will depend on the contrasts created by the overall or integral personality structure of each partner and their cultural backgrounds. However, the special blend of the 7th and 24th days is such that adjustments will be reduced to a minimum. The number of corresponding and complementary traits is far in excess of those that are contrary and discordant, thus indicating the potential for a cooperative, harmonious and loving relationship.

The active 7 vibration has certain definite affinities with the peaceful nature of receptive forces. Unlike the extroverted and self-promoting qualities of other active-forces 7 attributes tend towards reserved, self-contained and exclusive forms of expression. Pure Seven personalities are those born on the 7th day. These pure Sevens do not project or emphasise their ego-consciousness; a characteristic common to persons controlled by other active forces and uncharacteristic of subjective or receptive forces. Self-projection and self-indulgence are replaced in the Seven personality by endeavours to understand their own identity and their relationship with other living things. In the process of doing so the Seven develops a quiet, peaceful and unobtrusive temperament that is in accordance with the general nature of receptive vibrations. The 7 vibration, and hence the Seven personality, is one in which the physical/material side of life is evenly balanced with the spiritual/mystical aspect. These aspects are not seen operating independently in separate compartments, but as a unified whole. While allocating time and energy for abstract studies or spiritual development a Seven can undertake mundane responsibilities as effectively as physically oriented and materialistic people, and perhaps do so with a deeper sense of fulfilment. These superior qualities are not necessarily present in all Sevens. Those who are negatively geared are subject to various escapist tendencies. Neglecting everyday duties in particular, they expect the good things of life without having to work for them. These are unpleasant, cold and cynical people who gain very little happiness out of life. An overloading of the 7 vibration is the common cause of negativity. Hence those Sevens born in the 7th month seldom escape negative tendencies. An exceptionally favourable environment is essential to draw them out of their negative forms of introversion.

An average Seven/Twenty-Four partnership may be based on a foundation of quietude and serenity but it is not likely to be a closely intertwined union. The love and loyalty given and received will be beyond doubt, but total sharing of their whole selves cannot be expected. The Seven’s unique and individualistic personality causes this with the result that they will not totally open out to another. They invariably retain a goodly portion of themselves for themselves. They can do this as they are never lonely in their own company. Many contemplative and introspective pleasures they enjoy cannot be shared, nor do they care to verbalise most of their thoughts. Exceptions will be made when they meet someone similarly attuned to the mystical side of life. A Twenty-Four may not be such a person, but this will not hinder other binding aspects of their relationship.

Twenty-Fours live by high moral standards which include respect for the individuality of others. Unlike the Seven, they are able to give themselves openly and freely and are able to form intertwined relationships with those who could respond in the same manner. They do not reserve time for themselves as they are individuals who function at their best with a companion in private life or with associates in public life. They are by nature givers, helpers and sharers who cannot live or work alone. The major adjustments in this partnership will be the Twenty-Four’s recognition of the Seven’s need for privacy and periods of strictly personal time and the Seven’s acceptance of the Twenty-Four’s need for companionship and joint decision making. These adjustments should not be difficult as it is not in the nature of either to resort to extremes of behaviour that could be destructive to their relationship. They may fall occasionally into sins of omission but not into sins of commission. Both place a high value on their commitment to each other. The head rules the heart in both personalities and consequently in a conflict between sentiment and reason, reason prevails.

The numbers of the 24th day cover three quarters of the range of receptive vibrations. A personality with reinforced receptive qualities is the result. They do not cause an overloading of receptive forces and consequent weaknesses as the vibrations operate on different planes of expression – the emotional (2), physical (4) and mental (6). It is the overloading on a single plane that produces a lop-sided personality with several personality flaws, but the spread of receptive or active vibrations over three planes of expression is fortunate as it produces a balanced personality. The best qualities of each vibration tend to combine leaving very little or no room for the less desirable qualities of a particular vibration or plane to take hold of the personality. A Twenty-Four, for instance, cannot be too emotional/sentimental, too physical/material or too mental/logical as the forces from one plane or the other will neutralise any excess. However, what some Twenty-Fours may lack at early stages of life is sufficient motivating power, self-assertiveness and self-assurance. These are Twenty-Fours who do not possess the energising and self-propelling force of the 1 vibration in their birth month or in other effective areas of influence. They usually gain these attributes with maturity and a supportive environment, but in the meantime they may lose ground to their self-assertive peers, especially in public life. In domestic life, however, the host of warm, kindly, patient, loving and unselfish qualities of their collective receptive forces will bring peace and happiness to themselves and their loved ones, especially their loved ones. A perceptive Seven partner will not be unmindful of these admirable qualities. Twenty-Fours are totally family oriented people who hold the wellbeing of their families as their first priority. Personal needs and public responsibilities will not be allowed to stand in the way of family obligations. Their ambitions in public life are related to or dedicated to family advancement rather than purely personal satisfaction. While a Seven may need an effort to do so, Twenty-Fours find it easy to fit into the dual role of worker/ homemaker. Their evenly balanced personality helps them divide their loyalties equitably between public and family responsibilities.

Seven and Twenty-Four partners will automatically settle into an egalitarian partnership. There will be no contest for leadership as neither has a desire to impose personal authority on another, particularly on a loved one. They will exercise discipline on themselves and their dependants, but not arbitrary impositions. In the sharing of domestic duties harmonious decisions will be reached without conflict or competition. The Seven would prefer some responsibilities to be held exclusively by themselves while the Twenty-Four will be quite happy to join in or interchange duties. On the few occasions their views and actions differ, the generally refined nature of the Seven and the peaceful and cooperative nature of the Twenty-Four will disagree amicably.

A social scene will reveal the enigmatic temperament of the Seven and the genial temperament of the Twenty-Four. Sevens are neither social nor anti-social. The fact is they do not look to social involvement for entertainment, stimulation or self-expression. Their needs are of a special quality, are not found in average social circles and are therefore self-generated. A natural fear or distaste of being engulfed by superficialities at the expense of quality time they could spend in their own affairs keeps them away as much as possible from social activity. They are impatient and intolerant people in the sense that they are incapable of putting up with juvenile humour of many adults, false pretences, trivial conversation, name-dropping, petty gossip and especially prolonged association with people. They are soon overcome by an uncontrollable urge to retreat, usually with great relief, to the peace and seclusion of their homes. A Seven could go through life quite happily with no more than one or two close friends. Twenty-Fours, in contrast, are good-natured, friendly, patient and helpful people who do not suffer the frustrations so common to the Seven. A Seven will not take the initiative to get acquainted with a stranger but a Twenty-Four will willingly make the first move. The Twenty-Four’s sociability is of a generous and helpful nature and not a means to a personal end. They are invariably found among the helpers in any social gathering and gain popularity and fulfilment from the invaluable practical contributions they make. As in all other aspects of life, family togetherness will not be harmed by their social activities, nor will their Seven partners be coerced into joining them in all their activities.

Self-expression through the medium of speech will follow a similar pattern. Depending on the degree of reserve and introversion, Sevens could fluctuate from taciturnity to extreme taciturnity. They simply do not feel the need to verbalise all their thoughts. In any case, fluency of speech is not an attribute of the 7 vibration. Consequently, most Sevens become lazy or indifferent talkers. The written word, (their own and that of others), is more significant to them than the spoken word. It would take considerable discrimination, skill and patience to draw and hold a Seven in a sustained conversation. Twenty-Fours, in contrast, are good communicators, teachers and conversationalists. Following their evenly balanced nature they do not chatter or prattle about insignificant matters, but instead confine their speech to worthwhile and informative topics, particularly those of a practical and functional nature. As they view life from an earthy and practical viewpoint their thoughts and consequently their speech do not enter other-worldly or abstract realms. The Seven dualistic nature is such that their thoughts cannot be confined to physical and material necessities and pleasures, but instead soar into abstract and metaphysical realms as well. While communication between these partners will be rewarding when confined to mundane matters it will dissipate and cease when turned to abstract discussions.

It will not be too difficult to imagine what spare time activities will be chosen by the practical/ mystical Seven and the practical/ethical Twenty-Four. Having the disposition of the loner Sevens are not incapable of striking out on their own if their partners are unwilling to associate with them in their chosen hobbies. This is likely to be the case to a degree in a Seven/Twenty-Four partnership. Twenty-Fours are companionable people who, for the most part, need and enjoy company during their spare time activities and their hobbies are of such a nature that could include the participation of others. They do not have the Seven’s psychological and spiritual need for spells of their own company or the wish to do things alone. Sevens find physical outlets principally in natural surroundings. A mental and psychic attunement with nature is as essential and beneficial to their wellbeing as interaction with people is to extrovert and gregarious personality types. As their mentality is oriented towards a permanent quest into the nature of things or the mystery of life they remain life-long students. Twenty-Fours may feel alienated from this aspect of the Seven’s lifestyle but at the same time experience no difficulty filling in their time doing their own thing. They are natural handypersons who are happiest when making or fixing something in and around their homes. The kitchen and workshop or garage becomes the Twenty-Four’s preserve while the garden is invariably the Seven’s exclusive area. The Twenty-Four’s strong ethical and moral values are demonstrated in civic activities; usually the backbone of one or more local organisations.

This partnership will be free from every problem associated with mismanagement of money. Financial irresponsibility, impulsive spending, gambling, poor budgeting, susceptibility to advertisements, misplaced generosity and unconcern for the future are personality traits quite alien to the temperament of both partners. Either partner, with the complete trust and confidence of the other, could take over management of the partnership’s finances, or they could do so on a joint basis. They are intuitively aware that money in itself will not contribute to their wellbeing but the practical side of their nature recognises that the lack of money could be the cause of unhappiness and hinder development. Both partners therefore recognise the utility value of money without letting it take hold of their lives.

The several personality traits Sevens and Twenty-Fours admire in each other which will form the foundation for a lasting friendship and love exceed by far in quantity and substance the few that may not be agreeable. Their partnership will be built upon qualities they admire in each other such as honesty of motive, serenity of mind, innate kindliness, silence at the right time, as well as the absence of ostentation, self-promotion, competition, selfishness, and false facades. They have the mutual need for security, moderate need for change and movement and the mutual recognition that there are higher aims in life than the mere enjoyment of sensual pleasures.

7TH AND 25TH BIRTHDAYS

A Seven personality is the creation of the vibratory forces of the 7th day as well as the 25th day; a straightforward or outright Seven by the former and a qualified Seven by the latter. Fundamental attributes of the 7 vibration are centralised and unconcealed in the outright Seven while they are disguised and to some extent altered in the Twenty-Five. The immediate result of perceived 7 attributes in the Seven is the ready identification of this personality as a Seven. However, the 25th day being a complexity of vibratory forces, identification or classification of the Twenty-Five as a particular type becomes a questionable process. The personality of individuals with multiple digit birthdays is usually formed by the combination of three vibratory forces. When these interact in harmony and reinforce each other by a predominance of sympathetic characteristics the individual is usually identifiable as a particular type. However this is not the position with the Twenty-Five whose personality structure is a compound of dissimilar vibratory forces. The 2, 5 and 7 vibrations which form the integral Twenty-Five are inclined to manifest independently rather than blend as a unified whole. Consequently, of the many things that can be said of the Twenty-Five, the opposite can often be said. Twenty-Fives usually experience difficulty understanding their own multiform and variable nature, but others experience even greater difficulty understanding them. A Seven/Twenty-Five partnership will be an extraordinary one in many ways due to the enigmatic nature of the 7 vibration itself and the complex nature of the Twenty-Five. Individuals whose basic personality structures are of opposite polarities are subject to a spontaneous attraction to each other and in the course of time get to know and appreciate each other. But Sevens and Twenty-Fives are of the same polarity because active vibrations are predominant in their personality structures. They will not be subject to the same magnetic attraction and will instead need to get to know each other in a non-personal association before they develop a mutual admiration that could lead to further intimacy. Both individuals apply, with varying degrees of intensity, a natural reserve, caution, suspicion, analysis and discernment before revealing their intentions. Eventually, the first moves towards friendship on familiar terms will be taken by the Twenty-Five through the bold and impatient nature of the 5 vibration and the combined influence of the sentimental and passionate nature of the 2 and 5 vibrations. The Twenty-Five will experience an intuitive awareness of the depth of the Seven’s personality and will be eager to take up the challenge of penetrating its depths. The Sevens, in turn, are unlikely to reject these overtures as the integral Twenty-Five contains many fascinating qualities that will arouse the Seven’s curiosity, and Sevens also have probing and inquisitive minds. In course of time neither will be disappointed in what they discover in each other. On the contrary, their discoveries could lead to considerable happiness on the physical plane, compatibility on the mental plane, romance on the emotional plane and an awakening on the spiritual plane.

While specialisation is the Seven’s mode of expression, diversity is the Twenty-Five’s. These differences will be found to be complementary rather than divisive. The Seven’s influence will prevent too much diversification by the Twenty-Five, and the Twenty-Five will not put up much resistance because the basic 7 attributes of their own personality will appreciate the need for some degree of centralisation. The Twenty-Five though, will ensure that the Seven does not become absorbed too deeply in specialised interests at the expense of a balanced lifestyle. The Seven would be susceptible to the subtle approaches of the Twenty-Five and would benefit considerably by introduction into a wider lifestyle, especially into the lighter side of life, which they tend to neglect. When outright Sevens are left to their own devices they tend to avoid interaction with people as much as possible. They are not misanthropic by nature unless they are exceptionally negative, and average Sevens are exceptionally selective of the company they keep. It is essential to their wellbeing to alternate their time between their partners, family members, one or two close associates and time entirely for themselves. Among the Seven’s greatest pleasures is the time they spend in their own company. They are intuitively aware that true spiritual enlightenment, regardless of the method adopted, is gained only in the silence of self-communication, attunement with forces of nature or time spent with books revealing the thoughts and experiences of the great minds of the past and present. All Sevens, one way or the other, with maturity and life experience, seek a spiritual destination. Their Twenty-Five partners may find this mode of life difficult to adjust to at the early stages of their relationship, although their inner selves may acknowledge its merits. The truth is that the Twenty-Five has a dual personality in the sense that outward or extroverted expression in company alternates with reserve and retirement into the peace and tranquillity of their homes. Their sustained extroversion and sociability cannot be taken for granted. They could be magnetic and fascinating people to associate with, but, what many fail to realise, much to their disillusionment, is that the Twenty-Five’s sociability is extended strictly on their own terms and is also withdrawn, regardless of the expectations of others, whenever their moods change. This duality raises a problem for others but not for the Twenty-Fives themselves or their Seven partners.

Sevens and Twenty-Fives are strictly individualistic in all their ways. Neither will feel the urge to exercise authority over the other or be prepared to live in the shadow of the other. Their partnership will develop on the basis of their individuality with clear divisions of responsibility, trust and non-interference. They are not types who will ignorantly or unwittingly torture each other by failing to understand their respective temperaments. However, their relationship is not likely to be a closely intertwined union as it is not in the nature of either to surrender the whole or part of their personality to the keeping or care of another; nor do they expect such action from their partners. They look for and respect self-sufficiency in their partners and dependants, and in return give them their love, loyalty and devotion to their commitments. Domesticity is not an outstanding aspect of their personality. Both are career oriented, more as professionals than in merchandising and marketing. The Seven seeks authority and freedom in areas of work where specialisation can be acquired. Twenty-Fives also choose areas providing freedom of action and movement and avail themselves of several options. They are much more versatile, adaptable and eminently equipped to handle variety, changes, and competition, and especially make themselves positive to uncongenial working conditions. Unless a genuine effort is made by both they are likely to pay more attention to their vocations and avocations than to domestic duties. Their home will certainly be preserved for the peace and tranquillity they seek from time to time, and used on occasions for entertainment of guests. As both are genuine nature lovers they would prefer attending to their gardens or enjoying the gardens of others than performing household duties.

Individuals who are substantially under the influence of the 7 vibration are not affected by the urge to project their egos by advertising themselves or drawing the attention of others by various means. Quite unconsciously for the most part, they spend much of their time in ruminative pleasures and return with some reluctance to a communal world which functions largely on oral communication. While not wholly indifferent to the goodwill of others they gain their self-confidence and self-esteem by looking into themselves rather than worrying about their impact on others. Consequently all pure Sevens, and to a degree qualified Sevens cannot be classed among the great talkers of this world. Except in intimate situations with loved ones, oral communication is confined to impersonal matters, and these are disposed of with a few well chosen words and precise sentences. The crux of any issue is approached directly. Pure Sevens are generally indifferent conversationalists not through the lack of subject matter but because the subjects they hold worthwhile seldom interest the average person. Twenty-Fives on the other hand, when they chose to do so, reveal themselves as versatile and informative conversationalists. Oral communication between Sevens and Twenty-Fives will be free from prolonged discussion and indecisive arguments. Intuitive knowledge of each other’s points of view and non-verbal communication through meaningful body language obviates the need for excessive discourse.

Following their individualistic and self-reliant temperaments Seven personalities are not dependent on companionship in their leisure activities. Found in partnership with such persons who do not share their interests they would rather strike out on their own than put up with activities that do not appeal to them. This situation will, however, not arise with Seven’s and Twenty-Five’s as their basic interests are very much the same although their approach to them may be different. Two principal areas that could be responsible for initially bringing them together and subsequently cementing their relationship are their mutual love of nature and their instinctive desire to probe into the hidden or inner side of things. As both derive great delight and tremendous inspiration in scenes of natural beauty their holidays will be spent well away from the beaten track. Constant attempts will be made to bring, as far as possible, nature’s beauty and tranquillity into their own gardens. They can also alternate their time in combined inquiry into the spiritual and mystical aspects of life. In addition, all Sevens surrender to a fascination for anything touched by time. Ancient cultures and anything associated with age will capture and hold their attention. The Seven has the greater need for mental and spiritual stimulation while the Twenty-Five has a greater need for emotional and physical stimulation. These differences will be reflected in the ways they involve themselves in their hobbies and will be complementary to each other rather than obstructive. The Twenty-Five’s pent-up emotions need physical outlets. The Seven does not generate emotion to a degree that demands as many physical outlets. Many Sevens succeed in sublimating their emotions to higher levels of experience.

The 7 vibration produces some of the most astute money managers. Whether in public or personal life the pure Seven personality handles money judiciously and productively. They are self-disciplined spenders, wise investors and reliable savers. However, a qualified Seven, such as a Twenty-Five, who is influenced by the emotionally charged 2 and 5 vibrations, will not be as steady. Their lifestyle, in any event, is more extensive and consequently more demands are made on their finances. They could spend on impulse and not hesitate to make bold financial moves. However, the underlying influence of the 7 force will be as a safeguard against irresponsible actions. Disagreement over money matters is not likely to take place as the Seven will be the partner most likely to take over management of their finances. While both recognise the value of money and the need for physical comforts they are also able to keep them in proper perspective knowing that life means more than the pursuit and enjoyment of material possessions.

Most outright Sevens are affected by a touch of melancholy which is usually brought about when they fail to reconcile the speed, shams and illusions they encounter in business and social life with the peace, tranquillity and honesty they seek for their personal wellbeing. Their habit of self-analysis also results in unwarranted self-reproach. Twenty-Fives may be pulled in different directions by the complicated forces at work within their personality, but these same forces help them cope with a great diversity of experiences. If they do fall into pessimistic moods they usually come out of them before their effects are transferred to others. They do not indulge in self-analysis as deeply as the Seven. On the contrary, they are more likely to analyse the personalities of others more than their own The success of a Seven/Twenty-Five partnership rests in their capacity to relate to each other at all levels of expression. They are compatible at the physical and spiritual level by virtue of the dual aspects of the 7 vibration. The Seven personality may not possess an outlet for free emotional expression, but this will be compensated for by the Twenty-Five’s ability to release emotion. Despite their inability to visibly display their emotions, Sevens are highly romantic and sensitive people who will readily respond to the Twenty-Five’s sentimental approaches. Both partners are not only mentally alert and curious, but also enjoy a tremendous awareness of life around them; an awareness derived in varying degrees from intuitive and extrasensory, faculties. Both can develop the practice of leaving their egos aside and observing the quality of their relationship with sensitivity and enlightenment, and indeed do so with regard to their relationship with the world around them.

7TH AND 26TH BIRTHDAYS

Interaction between odd and even numbers or active and receptive vibrations is the significant feature of this combination. The spontaneous attraction that takes place between opposite polarities will be responsible for the initial appeal, and in most instances, the ensuing relationship that develops between Seven and Twenty-Six personalities. Attributes that capture the attention of these couples, by their very nature, create the need for certain personality adjustments, in the course of time, by both partners. The degree of unity or disunity achieved will depend on their capacity to acknowledge and accommodate themselves to these changes. Certain combinations of opposites necessarily demand more adjustments than others. A Seven/Twenty-Six combination is one that will not call for more adjustments than can be willingly made.

Seven and Twenty-Six personalities are neither egoistic nor egocentric in the sense of being ‘I’ and ‘my’ people. On the contrary, they are more inclined to be ‘we’ and ‘us’ people whose egos have been diffused and spread out into an awareness of their kinship with all living things. The sense of separation felt by a strong ego has been removed. Egotistic impediments therefore do not stand in the way of objective assessments of their own personalities and their relationships with others. Their opinions and actions may not be the same due to their opposite polarities, but for the most part, they should be complementary rather than contradictory. There are also certain corresponding features not found in other combinations of opposites that will contribute towards the strengthening of their relationship.

Another outstanding feature of this combination is the centralised attributes of a single vibratory force in the Seven personality and the coalition of three forces in the Twenty-Six. The manifest result in the former is a relatively inflexible expression of 7 attributes and a ready identification of the individual as a true Seven personality. Attributes of the 7 vibration are of such a special nature that very little change is affected by other points of influence in the birth date and name, or by extraneous forces. The most that could happen is an expansion of the Seven’s range of activity to some extent, but their basic temperament will not be changed. Sevens have a natural predisposition to acquire understanding of human nature in a comprehensive way. At the same time they are impatient, intolerant and uncooperative in an atmosphere that is not in tune with their own vibratory forces. They are also not types who attempt to dominate others, nor will they submit to domination. Their association with others will only be on the basis of equality. They do not respect or tolerate dependent or clinging partners as they are themselves self-sufficient and self-possessed people who expect others to be the same. Twenty-Six partners are ideal in this respect as they are not dominant, submissive or dependent. The Twenty-Six is basically an Eight personality reinforced by the 2 and 6 vibration. As these vibrations are all of a receptive polarity there is a harmonious blending of their attributes, producing a well-knit personality instead of one who is pulled in different directions by conflicting internal forces. The 2 vibration contributes charm, grace, gentleness, romance, cooperation, companionship and a sentimental approach to life. The 6 vibration introduces guardianship, parenthood, sociability, domesticity, responsibility and an analytical and logical judgment of all things. The underlying force of the 8 vibration provides ambition, authority, organisation, judgment, justice and a practical approach to life.

There is a degree of flexibility and adaptability in Twenty-Sixes which exposes them to the influence of restless or manipulative partners. This will not be a problem with a Seven unless the Seven happens to be an exceptionally negative character. Negative Sevens usually resort to all sorts of escapist and self-righteous habits and end up as a liability rather than a dependable co-partner. Negative Sevens are usually those who are overloaded with the 7 vibration such as those born in the 7th month. Negativity in a Twenty-Six can only take the form of low self-esteem and low self-confidence. The lack of motivation and drive prevents maximum use of their multiple talents. Twenty-Sixes born in the 1st, 10th, 11th and 12th months do not suffer these difficulties as the 1 vibration provides all the mental and physical energy and self-propelling power they need. The same applies to the Seven personality. With the 1 vibration operating in their birth months Sevens would increase their capacity for decisive action.

The 7 vibration does not provide the attributes needed for a contended domestic life. Seven personalities who are obliged by circumstances to take up home making as a career will carry out their responsibilities conscientiously, but they would not feel really fulfilled. Restlessness and frustration will arise from their instinctive urges to probe, analyse, research and discover the mysteries of the past, present and future. They will certainly appreciate their home for the refuge it provides from the noise and confusion of public life but they are bound to feel restrained if they are confined to full-time domestic duties. All Sevens are genuine nature lovers and their gardens will be given more attention than household tasks. They will be found frequently ‘escaping’ to their gardens for release of tension and the spiritual inspiration they gain when they commune with nature. The happiest Sevens are those with professional careers as specialists or research workers, and a limited area of domestic responsibility. While Sevens need to cultivate domestic talents, Twenty-Sixes are born with them, and are quite capable of following a career in public life as well as running a well organised household. Two of the strongest domestic forces, namely the 2 and 6, make up the major part of their personality. The 8 vibration may introduce in some cases an excess of authority but it also contributes its great administrative powers and unique ability to successfully delegate duties. The larger the family, the better will be the evidence of the Twenty-Six homemaker’s skills. Those Twenty-Sixes whose energy and administrative talent are inadequately used in a small family would naturally be prompted to look into the public arena for further self-expression. These are clear-headed and orderly people who proceed methodically, step by step, in whatever they undertake. They keep constant watch on cleanliness, punctuality, timetables and the effective contributions of others. The Seven partner’s passion for gardening will not be interfered with as Twenty-Sixes are not gardeners. Their interests will be centred inside the home in interior decoration, cooking and other house-based hobbies.

Depending on their degree of positivity or negativity Seven personalities could range from reserved and relatively exclusive types to introverted and hypersensitive types. Most Sevens fall into the former group. Contentment with their own company as well as habits and hobbies that do not necessarily include company, are responsible for their comparatively exclusive behaviour. Their social life will be confined to select family members or one or two old and trusted friends. In contrast, all Twenty-Sixes are accessible, companionable and caring people whose affable and extroverted qualities do not fluctuate to any noticeable degree. While the Seven’s continued sociability cannot be assumed by strangers or acquaintances due to their frequent yearning for solitude the Twenty-Six can be depended upon for their hospitality and friendship. Being conservative and conventional in their ideas they strive to live up to society’s expectations while Sevens are largely indifferent to social norms. Twenty-Sixes are relaxed, receptive and contributory in sundry or unfamiliar company while Sevens would be tense, watchful, impatient and closed in. Twenty-Sixes seek social interaction to unwind while Sevens seek isolation in their gardens and the company of their books in order to unwind. The Seven may appear self-absorbed but the Twenty Six will sooner or later discover that their form of self-absorption is neither selfish nor egocentric. They will see that Sevens are perennial students of human nature and human destiny with an intuitive knowledge that such study begins by looking into themselves and gaining an understanding of their own nature.

In oral expression, Seven personalities can vary between brevity of speech to outright taciturnity. They are convinced that even the most important issues can be settled by brief sentences and are therefore intolerant of conversation that lingers too long on one topic or issue. Motivated chiefly by thought vibrations that are introspective and contemplative they feel very little need to convert their thoughts to words. Meaningful body language and significant eye contact may be used to express many thoughts that by their nature are not easily communicable by words. Twenty-Sixes do not have communication problems. While touching and other forms of body language will be used as a means of demonstrating their affections they are not used as an alternative to speech. They are engaging speakers and patient listeners who are open to discussion, friendly argument, negotiation and arbitration. While Sevens keep their problems to themselves due to their natural sense of privacy and reluctance to verbalise their emotions, Twenty-Sixes are ready to talk about their difficulties. More often than not, it will be up to the Twenty-Six to initiate conversation with their Seven partners. They will also realise that silence on the part of the Seven is not an indication of a negative condition. Indeed, for the most part, it is their natural disposition.

As Sevens and Twenty-Sixes are built in different ways they will be attracted to the kind of activity which conforms best to their particular temperaments. This will be especially evident in their leisure activities where complete freedom of choice is available. Younger Sevens who take up highly competitive sports are unlikely to carry these interests into adulthood. A change could be made to non-competitive or mildly competitive outdoor activities associated with nature. All Sevens need to maintain close contact with the natural world. However peaceful and well appointed their homes may be, Sevens begin to feel the home atmosphere oppressive if they are unable to spend time in natural surroundings. Their indoor interests will be in books relating to historical, metaphysical and scientific matters. Twenty-Sixes are also unlikely to continue as competitive players for an extended period, particularly in sports involving body contact. A change will be made to coaching and administrative positions in clubs, welfare groups, religious organisations and other civic bodies. Their indoor interests will turn to the culinary arts, home entertainment, interior decoration, music and dancing. While Sevens need an equal proportion of indoor and outdoor activity, Twenty-Sixes are essentially indoor people. The occasional evening out in a choice restaurant will be one of their favourite diversions.

Both Sevens and Twenty-Sixes are skilled money managers. Their partnership will not fall into financial difficulties through irresponsibility on the part of one or the other. If circumstances beyond their control create this situation they are capable of working their way out through self-sacrifice and good planning. They are able to plan ahead and work towards their goals as their lifestyle will be unaffected by too many changes brought about by impulsive actions or a passion for novelty. The Seven, in particular, can adapt to a life free of luxuries when necessary. Either partner can conscientiously carry out the task of day-to-day expenditure or handle larger financial matters. A joint bank account can be run without fear or distrust.

It is important that both partners frequently make known their love for each other either by word or deed. Both are subject to occasional bouts of despondency and their mood swings are often related to their interpretation of their loved one’s feelings about them. Sevens in particular fall into a state of complacency, but Twenty-Sixes are more likely to put time and effort into enriching their relationship. They give more of themselves and expect the same in return while Sevens give less of themselves and do not expect much attention in return. These differences in attitude, however, have no bearing on the underlying love and loyalty they have for each other. They are just a matter of demonstration and declaration. A Seven is more inclined to draw upon inner strength and may overlook this need and consequently deprive themselves and their partners of the joys of frequent intimate communication. It is never easy to enter a Seven’s personal zone. Strangers and acquaintances have little hope of doing so while loved ones need to wait until the Seven is in a receptive mood. The wellbeing of the Twenty-Six is nourished by outer recognition and demonstration of their partner’s love and respect. Their personal zone is much more extended and is always open to loved ones.

7TH AND 27TH BIRTHDAYS

A birthday combination composed of a single digit day and a multiple digit day is usually influenced by a number of different vibratory forces which interact either harmoniously or inharmoniously. In the latter instance difficulties arise from the centralised and inflexible attributes of a single vibration confronting an uncertain mixture of three vibratory forces. The individual with the single digit birthday seldom, if ever, suffers from internal turmoil caused by different vibrations working in various directions, but this could be a problem with many personalities having multiple digit birthdays. Not only are they disturbed by inner turmoil, their problems are also carried with them into their relationships. These difficulties should not arise in a Seven/Twenty-Seven relationship as this combination is favoured not only by the standard personality of the Seven partner, but also by the well-integrated nature of the Twenty-Seven. The 2, 7 and 9 vibrations interacting within the Twenty-Seven (2 + 7 = 9) correspond and complement each other in ways that strengthen and expand the personality rather than cause divisions. The individual is not pulled in different directions by unrelated vibratory forces.

In a Seven/Twenty-Seven combination characteristics that are sympathetic and mutually helpful outnumber by far any that could be seen as incompatible or disruptive. Most 7 attributes are of an exclusive nature that usually isolates the Seven individual to a degree that is not evident in any other personality type. Sevens enjoy this sense of detachment and resort to selectivity and specialisation in social life and public activities. Among the many 7 attributes responsible for the Seven individual’s reserved and aloof disposition are an affinity with nature and the mystic element of life. Consequently, there is a natural gravitation by the Seven towards solitary pastimes and a yearning to look into the soul of things rather than accept superficial and established beliefs and values. To the degree Seven partners open out to this aspect of their personality will they depart from egoistic and materialistic pursuits, and association with the mainstream of humanity or the disinterested majority. Apart from a dignified aloofness and poise, what sets all Sevens apart from others, regardless of their station in life, is their love of silence, harmony, privacy, pleasure in their own company and attunement with nature in lieu of social life, self-sufficiency, dislike of dependent, clinging and demanding people, emotional restraint, a penetrating insight, aversion to false fronts, pettiness and egotism, self-discipline, keen mental analysis and appraisal of anything presented to them, refusal to accept anything on face value, suspicion of the motives of others, love of the past and anything mellowed by time, fear of noise, crowds and general confusion, moods of melancholy, frustration and intolerance, study and scholarship, self-criticism, a non-competitive and serious view of life and a philosophical and spiritual tinge to everything they say and do.

The Twenty-Seven is basically a Nine personality fortified by attributes of the 2 and 7 vibrations. Taken individually, many comparable and sympathetic attributes will be found in the 2, 7 and 9 vibrations. Taken collectively or in an integrated form as in the Twenty-Seven personality they are reinforced and intensified to a degree that overrides any unrelated features. Along with the 7 vibration the 2 and 9 symbolise vibratory forces that are sensitive to the spiritual or non-physical element immanent in all living things. This is the principal binding factor within the integral Twenty-Seven. By engaging in introspective and meditative practices all Twenty-Sevens can exploit their potential for extrasensory powers, keen intuitive and diagnostic faculties and an awareness of their oneness with life around them. In their normal interaction with people Twenty-Sevens exhibit gentility, charm, poise, wisdom, courtesy, understanding, sociability, respect for privacy of others, generosity, sympathy, knowledge, and an aversion for frivolous and superficial values. They are givers rather than takers by virtue of their sympathetic and compassionate outlook on life that is free from all forms of prejudice and partiality. Negativity in a Twenty-Seven emerges more as a self-defeating force than one that is hostile and harmful to others. Indecision, moodiness, spells of depression, lack of self-confidence, self-esteem, self-assertiveness and strength of purpose could lead to self-deprecation and misapplication of their multiple talents. Twenty-Sevens who have the 1 vibration in their birth months should be free from these negative traits. The 1 vibration is a positive force which counteracts any negative tendencies. Found as the destiny number this vibration will create a natural urge to overcome any of these defects. The same applies to a Seven personality. Negativity in a Seven takes the form of abnormal introversion and this is usually found when there is an overloading of the 7 vibration in the birth date.

Both Sevens and Twenty-Sevens will automatically preserve their individuality, and in doing so, retain their love, respect and interest in each other. They are not individuals who are corrupted by egoistic ideas of superiority, nor are they demoralised by negative ideas of inferiority. Personal freedom, privacy, non-interference and due regard for the rights of others are the governing features of their individuality. While genuinely dedicated towards preserving a peaceful, sheltered and harmonious home atmosphere, domesticity as a career will not be attractive either. There are several dimensions of their personality that demand expression outside the domestic scene. In public life the Seven will always try to safeguard their sensitive, exclusive and often intolerant temperament and look for specialised work that would entail only slight contact with the public. With a broader outlook on life, holistic perspectives, and the capacity to face up to changes, the Twenty-Seven will be open to a much wider field and welcome interaction with the public.

The social needs and attitudes of these partners will be no different to those they display in business or public life. Sevens usually come out as reserved and unfathomable people not given to expressing pleasure or displeasure with much fervour, The truth is that they are not disinterested or indifferent to the affairs of others, rather their reluctance to have others enter their private world inhibits a reciprocal interaction with people. Twenty-Sevens, in contrast, open out much more and show a keen interest in people that lifts their personality to a high state of receptivity. They do not always maintain this high note as such behaviour would take its toll on their physical and nervous resources. Wisely, all Twenty-Sevens withdraw from time to time from social involvement and turn to restful and recuperative activities. An individual Twenty-Seven may enjoy an extended range of friends and acquaintances but in association with a Seven partner they would be content to confine their social life to mutually agreeable circles. Both partners possess an extraordinary capacity for registering subtle vibrations and a genuine aversion for course vibrations. Consequently, their choice of company will invariably be from the more refined elements of society. The more they involve themselves as a team in their metaphysical and mystical quest, as they are very likely to do, the more exclusive and specialised will be their circle of friends.

The 7 element in both partners will exercise a restraining influence on oral expression. Understandably, its effects will be greater in the Seven than in the Twenty-Seven. Discussions between these partners will be brief and to the point as both realise that only so much can be gained by logical analysis of a subject. Their intuitive faculty will take precedence over logical disputation. Sevens, who are much more taciturn by nature seldom initiate and continue conversation on commonplace topics. Their inability to express or reveal their sentiments also contributes to their taciturnity. They are patient listeners as long as conversation stirs their imagination and intellect, but soon lose interest and tolerance when it becomes forced or sinks into shallow and commonplace topics. They usually pursue their own line of thought, half listening or without listening to others. Alternatively, Twenty-Sevens, by virtue of the 2 and 9 aspects of their personality, possess gracious and entertaining communicative skills. They are patient and tolerant people who know how to listen so that others do not hesitate to take their problems to them. They can also discuss their own sentiments without self-consciousness. Prudently confining conversation with their Seven partners to mutually agreeable topics they would reserve their conversational talents for social occasions. Both Sevens and Twenty-Sevens are soft spoken individuals who gauge their words carefully in order to avoid misunderstanding, embarrassment or hurt feelings. Both speak with a ring of authority and knowledge which carries conviction. In the privacy of their homes they could sit quietly together saying very little. Lulls in communication are only an indication of their contemplative temperaments and not the result of tension or unpleasantness.

Both Sevens and Twenty-Sevens are as intuitive as they are rational and intellectual. It will be quite natural for them to raise their minds above and beyond everyday trivialities. They are certainly aware that abstractions such as divinity, love, beauty, music and art can only be experienced and not expounded. Consequently, their leisure hours will reveal a mutual attraction to the study and contemplation of the non-physical and non-material aspects of life. Being intellectual equals the pursuit of esoteric knowledge can be taken up as a team. They are not people who regard psychic and paranormal phenomena with fear or harsh scepticism. In addition to their intellectual and spiritual interests both partners have a need to be in contact with the vitalising powers of the earth and all its living things. This is more a spiritual affinity than a utilitarian or commercial interest. These links are formed by the 7 vibration which is also the keynote of the earth (e = 5, a =1, r = 9, t = 2, h = 8, added together become 25 = 7). Hence, both partners will be happily involved in many of the multitudinous interests offered by Mother Nature. Their mutual love of the past which is also an attribute of the 7 vibration, could develop into a keen interest in history, archaeology, archives and antiques. The Twenty-Seven, by virtue of the receptive or gathering in qualities of the 2 vibration, is likely to become a collector of antiquarian objects.

The spiritual element of the 7 vibration is proportionately balanced by practical and earthly values. Consequently, the spiritual quest taken up by those influenced by this vibration does not necessarily result in a negation or denial of physical and material comforts. Evidence of this dual nature is displayed in their money management skills and their general attitude towards material possessions. While not denying themselves the good things of life the non-material aspect prevents over-attachment or enslavement to their possessions. Money will not dominate their thinking but will instead be treated as an essential need, and therefore handled with caution. These attitudes will, of course, be stronger in the Seven than in the Twenty-Seven. Although the Seven is not attached to money for its own sake, it is not possible to influence them to part with their money unless they are convinced that there are valid reasons for doing so. This will not be the case with the Twenty-Seven as the 2 and 9 interfere with the 7’s money management skills. This personality could be influenced to part with money and their possessions when the sentimental side of their nature is aroused. They are generous, impressionable and sympathetic people who fear to displease, and could be taken advantage of by unprincipled people. Though not without financial acumen their sympathetic nature could clash with the Seven’s stricter principles. It is best that the Seven takes over their financial management.

However compatible their partnerships may be Sevens retain a part of themselves for themselves. In other words a Seven cannot be totally possessed by another in a closely intertwined relationship. In addition, Sevens are simply incapable of demonstrating their deep emotions by way of expressive body language and sentimental speech. These are natural idiosyncrasies of the Seven which in no way deny their great depth of love, loyalty and responsibility. An enigmatic personality is the outcome of these seemingly contradictory characteristics. The Twenty-Seven, coming from a different mould is not encumbered with these disparities. They can enter into a relationship with a much greater degree of intimacy and freedom. The 2 vibration introduces considerable warmth, receptivity, emotional release, adaptability and agreeability, and above all the need for companionship. The 9 vibration adds compassion, understanding and unselfishness. The Twenty-Seven would be quite willing to use their Seven partners as confidants and advisors in times of need while Sevens would be inclined to keep their troubles to themselves. The Twenty-Seven could help the Seven break through their customary reserve and enjoy a sense of togetherness which would otherwise remain unrealised by them. At the same time the Seven could help in decision making, because indecision is one of the Twenty-Seven’s difficulties.

7TH AND 28TH BIRTHDAYS

In most instances a uniform personality type is matched with a multiform personality when a combination contains a single digit birthday and a multiple digit birthday. However, in each case the uniform nature of the one and the multiform nature of the other must necessarily vary in its composition according to the numbers of the birthday, birth month and to a lesser degree the birth year. The degree of harmony, or otherwise, between any two such birthdays will also vary accordingly. Some birthday numbers or vibrations are exceptionally resistant to the influence of other vibratory forces and consequently the basic personality formed by the birthday remains largely unchanged. The Seven personality born on the 7th day is a typical example. Vibrations from other areas of influence may be used as additional outlets for self-expression without any appreciable change of personality. Those who enter into a relationship with a Seven sooner or later realise that the Seven’s ways are centralised and usually unyielding. A multiform personality is more often than not one in whom three vibratory forces operate simultaneously. These forces could interact discordantly pulling the individual in different directions or work in accord, creating a well-integrated individual. The Twenty-Eight belongs to the latter category. This is, in fact, a qualified One personality (2 + 8 = 10 = 1). Attributes of the 2 and 8 vibrations which qualify the fundamental 1 vibration interact in ways that round off and strengthen the integral personality. A Seven/Twenty-Eight combination is therefore one in which two self-possessed and individualistic people are matched against each other. A successful relationship will depend on the extent to which they recognise and acknowledge each other’s independent temperaments. While the vibrations brought into play in the relationship may not be directly hostile they could be noncooperative and even confrontational if caution is not exercised by both partners. Their relationship will inevitably develop into a partnership of equals.

The 7 vibration introduces several unique features that more or less isolate and identify the Seven as a distinct personality type. Among the most prominent of these features are aloofness and emotional restraint, a distant look in their eyes, a detached personal dignity, privacy, suspicion of the motives of others, attraction to the inner or hidden side of things, indifference to the pursuit of personal power, fame, and wealth as an instrument of power, silence, a penetrating insight which often disconcerts certain people, self-sufficiency and a non-egoistic sense of exclusiveness created by an affinity to nature and the spiritual side of life. The direct result of these relatively reserved characteristics is the Seven’s rejection of situations which necessitate interaction with assorted personality types. Preserving their freedom and individuality is more important than the assumption of a leadership role or submission to a subordinate role, both of which could involve interaction with people not of their own choosing. In special circumstances they could fit into the former role, but not settle for the latter

While a Seven partner will gladly undertake shared responsibilities in a relationship based on equal authority, a Twenty-Eight may expect to be in overall charge. Leadership and organisational talents are reinforced in the Twenty-Eight by the 8 and 1 vibrations which make up the major part of their personality structure. These are the principal attributes of these forces which are only slightly modified by the cooperative qualities of the 2 vibration. The Twenty-Eight’s assumption of authority will therefore be an unconscious move. When confronted by the Seven’s resistance their initial reactions will be indignation and hurt pride. In the course of time however, they will be converted by the reasonable and rational position taken up by the Seven. Also, other aspects of their personality such as a high sense of justice, fair play and sensitivity to the needs of others will be evoked by the Seven’s general conduct. Once a division of duties has been made each partner can be depended upon to act with diligence and a high sense of responsibility. This division is also desirable as neither partner will willingly take up homemaking as a career. Both need external activity for self-expression.

Besides the powers of leadership and organisation gained from the combined forces of the 1 and 8 vibrations the Twenty-Eight has also acquired high ambition for worldly power and material possessions, a competitive nature, sound business sense, willpower, foresight, deliberation, self-reliance, strength of purpose, and commonsense. Sensitivity and turbulent emotions are also products of the interplay of the 2 and 8 vibrations. Twenty-Eights tend to become emotionally involved in their work and frequently fall victim to strain, tension and frustration. In family matters decisions of the heart could overrule decisions of the mind. Their actions will be in contrast to the Seven’s ability to work from an objective position.

Seven personalities can vary from reserved and introspective types to those who are introverted and taken to fantasy-making and day dreaming. The majority belong to the first category while those that fall into the second are the negatively geared Sevens. Negative Sevens are those who are overloaded with 7 attributes due to a repetition of the number 7 in their birth date. Average Sevens are not socially oriented individuals. At the same time they cannot be described as anti-social people. The fact is that they are exceptionally selective of the company they keep. They could become agitated, restless and frustrated if they are forced by circumstances beyond their control to enter into a social circle that does not respond to their specialised interests. Fondness for their own company, their studious nature, their attraction to and attunement with natural surroundings and their inability to put up with superficiality in any form are additional reasons for the care they take in their choice of company. While Sevens are characterised by solitary and often intolerant attitudes plus an open distaste for group involvement, Twenty-Eights are able to hold a balance between the need for privacy and the need to intermingle with people in group activity. With the capacity to reach out to others both as givers and receivers, they function comfortably in social life and win recognition without compromising their individuality. They do not go to extremes in social involvement and would not disrupt their relationship with a quiet Seven. On the contrary, their social attitudes could help Sevens come out of themselves at a reasonable pace and enjoy the lighter side of life which a Seven is likely to neglect.

To the considerable relief of both partners oral communication will be brief and to the point as neither is temperamentally suited to indulge in or tolerate long-winded discourse or argument for argument’s sake. They speak out when there is something relevant or worthwhile to be said. They can enjoy each other’s physical presence without resorting to constant conversation. Emotionally charged issues are avoided as both could become tongue-tied if such matters are raised. Sevens are soft spoken people whose speech is gentle and undemonstrative, yet firm and conclusive. They are not given to verbalise their thoughts and therefore seldom initiate conversation. Contemplation and introspection are more pleasurable pastimes than oral expression. Their thoughts are usually of a romantic, abstract or profound nature and are kept to themselves except in very special circumstances. Their main fear is that they could go unappreciated and this could be true with a Twenty-Eight partner. Twenty-Eights are doers rather than thinkers and talkers. They are not given to pondering over abstract principles. Consequently their speech is precise, constructive and confined to down-to-earth and practical matters. They speak with authority and authoritative body language. Sevens and the majority of Twenty-Eights can communicate on an equal footing on all mundane matters, but communication could cease abruptly when turned to abstract and metaphysical subjects.

Fundamental differences in their personality traits become evident during their spare time activities. Sevens are attracted to interests that are, as far as possible, away from people and as close as possible to nature. Avoiding such sports that involve body contact, social involvement, strong competition and aggressive tactics they take to those that help them commune with nature or venture against the forces of nature without participating in any destructive actions. Those Sevens with a penchant for study, (most Sevens are instinctive students) take to the study and practice of the natural sciences, horticulture, history, archaeology, anthropology, poetry, mysticism, metaphysics and paranormal phenomena. A group or society associated with any of these subjects will certainly attract their active participation. In the case of the Twenty-Eight an aggressive, competitive and combative element in their personality drives them into highly competitive sporting activities, so much so that once active participation is over they remain as coaches, trainers, administrators or as zealous supporters. They also enjoy the popularity they earn through their success as participants or executives. They are not likely to succeed in drawing a Seven partner into their noisy world of intense activity; nor will the Seven succeed in luring a Twenty-Eight into their relatively solitary hobbies. Twenty-Eights generate a good deal of physical energy and emotional tension that need outlets in physical activity. Consequently, very little time and interest is left for quiet intellectual pursuits. As self-sufficiency and independence are essential characteristics in both partners the difficulty they experience in choosing a pastime that will be mutually rewarding should not give rise to discord, loneliness or feelings of neglect. Both are likely to be too busy in their own forms of recreation to feel neglected.

Sevens and Twenty-Eight partners may look at the world from different observation points, entertain different motives and priorities and yet reach an amicable agreement in the management of their finances. Sevens are accomplished money managers who are gifted with detached and self-disciplined attitudes. Money and other material possessions are not allowed to take possession of their lives. Decisions in regard to income are not influenced by the desire for power and prestige; nor are their decisions in regard to expenditure influenced by sentiment or emotion-backed demands. The same practical skills are applied to their personal finances as well as their duties in public office. Their expertise lies in management, administration and investment rather than in ambitious money-making enterprises. Alternatively, Twenty-Eights apply their expertise towards advancing their careers and in money making ventures. Invariably, more of their time and energy go towards their outside interests, with little time left for attention to personal finances. Consequently, a Twenty-Eight would be quite content to trust a Seven partner to play a major role in administering family finances. Twenty-Eights could be influenced by sentiment and emotion in regard to the needs or demands of family members. They seldom count the cost when their sentiments are aroused. The difference between a Seven and a Twenty-Eight lies in the Seven’s ability to do without luxuries if necessary and yet remain contented, and the Twenty-Eight’s desire for prestige and luxury in order to feel fulfilled. This is of course due to the fact that Sevens derive most of their pleasure from abstract sources or inexpensive hobbies while Twenty-Eights get their pleasures from tangible, sensuous and costly pastimes.

Defence mechanisms adopted by these partners are of an entirely opposite nature. Aggression and determination to overcome is the Twenty-Eight’s style while withdrawal and indifference is the course taken by the Seven. Despite heavy emotional content in the Twenty-Eight’s makeup a natural flow of emotion is inhibited by their strong egos. They are more inclined to give way to occasional outbursts of emotion when their feelings can no longer be contained. Sevens, in contrast, do not externalise their emotions one way or the other. Though all Sevens possess very fragile feelings they do not generate emotion or become overpowered by emotion to the same degree as the Twenty-Eight. Their emotions are released in more subtle ways. The degree of success achieved by these partners will be in proportion to the degree the Seven’s detached attitudes and the Twenty-Eight’s material attitudes are reconciled. Regardless of the influence of other vibratory forces in the birth date and name Sevens are unlikely to fall under the sway of the Twenty-Eight’s predominantly material outlook on life. The Twenty-Eight, however, could willingly strike a balance between temporal and spiritual dimensions if the 7 or 9 vibrations are found in their birth month or as the destiny number (that is, the single digit that is the result of the sum of all the other digits in the whole birth date).

7TH AND 29TH BIRTHDAYS

Taken separately or collectively the vibrations operating within these birthdays reveal a network of attributes that are not usually found in other birthdays or combinations of birthdays. Despite the fact that one is a single digit birthday with centralised characteristics and the other a multiple digit birthday with diversified qualities there are complicated forces in each that identify Sevens and Twenty-Nine personalities as distinct individuals who seldom attune themselves wholly with other personality types. There are profound philosophical and mystical elements in both which call for a high degree of discernment and understanding. Materially and physically oriented Partners will find it difficult to do so and enjoy a full relationship with them. A Seven/Twenty-Nine partnership, however, will be free from this impediment as its strongest link will be the moral and spiritual elements that govern the interacting vibrations. No doubt at certain stages of their lives, environmental, practical and financial considerations may compel them to adjust, postpone or modify their preference for abstract matters. Yet, at all times, both partners have the capacity to enjoy the physical and material aspects of life without impeding gradual moral and spiritual development.

Sevens and Twenty-Nines may share similar interests in transcendental and cultural matters but they are by no means similar personality types. Without surrender of any portion of their individuality both preserve their right to self-determination. They willingly respect the individuality of others and in turn expect others to do likewise. This is a condition that will automatically take place in the event of a relationship between these two personalities. However, their personality differences are such that adjustments could be made without much effort or discomfort. The majority of their differences can be used as complementary or compensatory forces rather than any that are disruptive. Though idealism is a common feature in these individuals it is not found in the same degree or condition. The Seven is more a realist and empiricist than an idealist, while the Twenty-Nine is more of an idealist than a practical and pragmatic individual. If there is an absence of the number 1 in the birth month of these personalities some loss of self-confidence and initiative could allow the entry of certain self-deprecating and self-defeating qualities. Sevens and Twenty-Nines born in the 1st, 10th, 11th and 12th months are strong, self-assured people while others could vary in their degree of self-assurance, self-esteem and stability.

The Seven’s greatest asset is the potential to establish a balance between the pragmatic and idealistic aspects of their personality. Their twofold nature provides for self-expression on the physical plane as well as fulfilment on the mental and spiritual planes. Younger Sevens may experience spells of isolation, loneliness, discontent and depression until they achieve some measure of balance between the practical necessities of life and their attraction to esoteric and abstract matters. Sevens, in general, are exceptionally sensitive to disagreeable situations and the auras of people with whom they come into contact. A natural insight into things and an analytical frame of mind helps them penetrate quickly into the essence of a person, thing or circumstance. They instinctively choose the pleasure and harmony of their own company rather than interaction with others who are not of their own wavelength. Disharmony in a Seven is invariably caused by extraneous forces and is rarely self-generated. There is a broad streak of intolerance and impatience in their character that does not enable them to suffer fools gladly or tolerate superficiality or falsehood in any form. They are subject to a good deal of frustration as so much they observe and encounter has to be discounted or discarded when matched with their uncompromising standards. Defence mechanisms used to safeguard their privacy and wellbeing are aloofness, withdrawal and silence. In addition, an aura of knowledge and mystery deters many people from approaching a Seven. Egotistic desires and emotional demands do not influence their decisions and judgments; nor are they influenced by social customs or decrees of traditional religions. They are independent and rational individuals whose thoughts and actions are based, as far as possible, on facts and the intuitive knowledge that every action carries with it an equal and opposite reaction. Both consciously and unconsciously an effort is made to follow the law of compensation or of cause and effect. Their aloofness, sense of privacy, sometimes secrecy, and many undisclosed sides to their personality make it difficult for people to get to know them, and even once some measure of success has been achieved their responses cannot be taken for granted.

The Twenty-Nine personality is one of the few that surpasses the Seven in depth and complexity of character. They are extroverted, attractive, captivating, restless and enigmatic people who are attuned to the rhythms of life more extensively than their Seven partners or most others they meet. They are also sympathetic and approachable but also hypersensitive, emotionally demonstrative and subject to sudden variations of mood. They are generous, enthusiastic and sparkling during their highs and withdrawn, uncommunicative and temperamental during their lows. At the same time their capacity to bear the shocks of the world, recuperate from illness or recover from adversity is well above average. While Sevens are generally successful in governing their emotions Twenty-Nines are, for the most part, governed by their emotions. They could go in for dramatics without warning when pent-up emotions demand an outlet. Sevens are not subject to a build-up of emotion as they stay alert to emotional situations and take immediate steps to avoid or neutralise them. The difference in emotional expression between these personalities will no doubt have a significant impact on their relationship. In addition, self-generated stress is another of the Twenty-Nine’s problems. The slower and serene temperament of the Seven may not generate tension and stress but unaccountable anxiety may be their problem. Twenty-Nines could resort to laughter, socialisation and intense activity to dispel their tensions while Sevens may find relief in literature, music and other specialised interests.

Qualities common to both partners that will evoke mutual admiration, trust, honesty of motive, wisdom, simplicity, absence of egotism and ostentation, the ability to base their views on a broad picture rather than petty detail, non-competitive ways, interest in self-scrutiny and self-improvement, love of nature and above all, their belief in a spiritual order of life. They possess the ability to share many interests and at the same time enjoy being different. Their relationship can be kept fresh and vibrant by their willingness, as fellow students of life, to reach out to new horizons of knowledge.

Attachment to a domestic way of life is not among the many complex features that make up the personality structures of the Seven and Twenty-Nine. While protecting a mutual need for a restful, harmonious and an inviolable home atmosphere neither partner would happily settle down to the regular duties of homemaker. If help from a third party is not found, such duties will need to be shared. Sharing will not be difficult as it is not in the nature of either to avoid personal responsibility, especially when it affects the wellbeing of a loved one. Their different temperaments will have a direct bearing on the functions taken up in public life and the time spent away from home. The wider horizons of the extroverted Twenty-Nine, who is also more resilient to the clash and strife of public affairs, will inevitably keep them away from home for longer periods. Sevens perform at their best when they occupy responsible positions away from public view. They are natural investigators and research workers who prefer to work under a minimum of supervision and with little or no responsibility for subordinates. They eagerly look forward to the tranquillity of their homes and gardens after their daily spell in public life.

The approach to social life taken by Sevens and Twenty-Nines will be no different to their choice of public duties. While Sevens adhere to a fixed pattern of behaviour and strict selection of company, Twenty-Nines can vary their conduct in different situations and comfortably steer a course between different sets of friends and acquaintances. They reach out to others as generous givers, contributing largely to the enjoyment of life. Unprincipled people usually take advantage of their obliging and often impressionable nature. While Sevens are conservative and traditional in their interaction with people, Twenty-Nines are quite unconventional in their approach to social life. The Seven will be quite content to move within a small circle of old and trusted friends. They are rarely vulnerable to uncongenial, unscrupulous or exploitative elements of society. Certain adjustments will be needed by both partners if they are to function in social activity as a happy twosome. There may be situations which the Twenty-Nine considers normal and appropriate that a Seven may find unbearable. However, as their differences are in temperament and not in ideas unanimity can be reached when they enter a social circle dedicated to cultural and spiritual advancement, and this they are most likely to do. In general the Seven’s influence will curtail over-activity on the part of the Twenty-Nine while the serious side of the Seven’s nature will be prevented from taking hold of their lives by the Twenty-Nine’s ability to include the lighter side of life in their activities.

Oral expression and body language expose further differences of personality. Fluency and richness of speech accompanied by demonstrative body language are not natural attributes of the Seven. In addition, their thoughts, which are always profuse and profound, reach a bottleneck when they attempt to verbalise them. Consequently Sevens have developed the knack of using a few well chosen words and phrases that reach the heart of an issue without wasting time beating around the bush. In their association with a Twenty-Nine communication difficulties will be greatly eased. Not only will they feel free to verbalise their most profound thoughts in their own way but the need to elaborate or recapitulate them will not arise as Twenty-Nines can absorb and appreciate everything that comes out of a Seven. The Seven will do likewise. In short, both speak the same language, as it were, and will always give each other a hearing which they are not likely to do with others. While Sevens are slow and deliberate speakers with dignified body language, confining their conversation to short periods of meaningful speech, Twenty-Nines are, for the most part, uninhibited talkers. Environmental conditioning and not attributes of their birth force would be responsible for any oral inadequacy on the part of an individual Twenty Nine, and this they can overcome with a little effort. With magnetic body language supporting fluency of speech Twenty-Nines have the potential to develop into eloquent public speakers. Communication between these partners will be enlivened by the Twenty-Nine’s rich store of anecdotes and great sense of humour. Communication by touch will be used frequently. The Seven will do this as an alternative to verbalising their feelings and the Twenty-Nine as an additional means of expressing their sentiments.

Their hobbies and other recreational interests are likely to enrich their relationship more than any other department of life. As nearness to nature inspires both partners several outlets for activity in natural surroundings are open to them. Natural receptivity to subtle forces of nature can raise them to high dimensions of joy. Such experiences could be physically restorative, emotionally moving and spiritually uplifting. It is not in the nature of Sevens and Twenty-Nines to nurture or project their egos in activities that earn fame and prestige. Much of their quality time is instead directed into self-examination, self-improvement or attention to inner growth. They may differ marginally in some of their methods but basically strong bonds can be forged as fellow students of ancient cultures, metaphysical studies and mystic lore. The Seven’s special love of the past and anything touched by time will be appreciated and supported by the Twenty-Nine while the Twenty-Nine’s desire to encourage and share with others their quest for knowledge will not be opposed by the Seven. A Seven’s knowledge of esoteric matters is shared with a few special people with whom they feel a spiritual kinship, if they could find them, and will be strictly concealed from all others. Twenty-Nines, alternatively, will attempt to discreetly draw as many as possible into their intellectual and spiritual orbit.

Financial matters will not benefit from the same unanimity. The pragmatic aspect of the Seven personality which is quite extensive and functions in harmony with their spiritual nature, makes them highly responsible money managers. Yet, there is a degree of impetuosity in the nature of the Twenty-Nine that creates inconsistency and often irresponsibility in money management. In minor dealings as well as larger issues the Seven would weigh the cost and practical value of goods and services before committing themselves, but the Twenty-Nine may not question the price tag, the usefulness or durability of an article or value of a service. The doubting and suspicious aspects of the Seven’s nature safeguards them from fast-talking salespersons and attractive advertisements while the Twenty-Nine’s trusting and impressionable nature exposes them to unscrupulous or dubious sales practices.

With spiritual forces influencing this relationship in varying degrees of strength it is difficult to envisage serious incompatibility. Their ultimate goal is the same although they set out on slightly different pathways. This ultimate goal is self-advancement. After an initial shifting of viewpoints integration of their inner and outer existence is the most likely outcome. The Seven’s relatively stoical nature is such that it does not expect or demand frequent attention, appreciation and demonstration of affection. For the most part they are content with the awareness of their partner’s love, loyalty and consideration. They reach this awareness through their intuitive faculty and do not expect confirmation through outward demonstration. Twenty-Nines, however, are easily distressed by any real or imagined complacency on the part of a loved one. They expect a good deal of personal attention and assurance of love, and if this is not forthcoming they would not hesitate to bring the matter to the attention of a Seven partner. Their turbulent emotions which emerge at regular intervals, despite their best efforts to control them, may disturb the serenity of mind the Seven tries to maintain. Sevens are not easily elated or dejected by outer influences, and on the few occasions they are, their reactions are seldom revealed. Likewise they do not feel the need to discuss their anxieties, but Twenty-Nines, when they fall into a self-indulgent mood, will discuss them quite openly. Sevens could become withdrawn and solitary in times of trouble while Twenty-Nines bring matters to a head. The Twenty-Nine’s responsibility will be to delay acting when emotionally upset and the Seven’s will be to open out a bit more. In the meantime both partners will certainly be helped by the absence of any separating emotions of envy, competition, jealousy and selfishness and by the presence of unifying emotions of love, honesty and personal dignity.

7TH AND 30TH BIRTHDAYS

Please refer to the chapter on 3rd and 7th birthdays. Relationships between Three and Seven personalities will be almost indistinguishable from those between Seven and Thirty personalities. The only difference that could arise will be in the personality of the Thirty caused by the presence of the Zero. Characteristics of the 3 vibration may be emphasised in the Thirty. The emphasis will apply to both positive and negative features.

7TH AND 31ST BIRTHDAYS

Interaction between a straightforward Seven personality and a qualified Four personality will be seen in this combination. Their relationship will be the same as that between a Seven and another qualified Four, namely an individual born on the 13th day of any month. It should be noted that the influence of the 3 vibration is slightly stronger in the Thirty-One than in the Thirteen, as it appears first, but this does not make any appreciable difference in their interaction with a Seven personality.

The chapter on 7th and 13th birthdays should be consulted.
